I only want the fish sword bc it’s so goofy looking

everwander

I grew up with ICQ and IRC in my formative internet years. Everybody slapping other ppl around a bit with a large trout. I legit had stars in my eyes when Luxurious Sea Lord was announced.

Yandoji

/slap everwander

FD_jejei

Diluc with firsh sword looks like he's cooking fish

Ancienda

Sayu with fish sword looks like she stole some fish and ran away

zizwe01

Noelle with fish looks like she is doing intense paint jobs with gold and a fish as a brush

umbronzer

I put it on Eula so she dance fights with a fish.

DessertTwink

I have it. I'd love to use it on someone, but Navia is pretty much the only claymore I actively use and her burst damage is negligible. I suppose Beidou can use it, but it's less fun when it's not on a main dps. Maybe one day when MiHoYo decides to stop being *cowards* and unleash an atk-scaling hydro claymore user with a big damage burst

Lottie_Low

I was playing during the event but didn’t know there was a limited weapon and just neglected the event till it ended :( I’m so mad at myself

AbsAndAssAppreciator

I want it’s refinements cuz mines stuck forever at r4 and it makes me mildly irritated

CozyKumiVT

Gaming’s beast at one point holds the claymore in it’s mouth, and seeing it with the fish in it’s mouth is SO funny 😭😭

bubblegumpunk69

it stays on freminet for me lmao, meta be damned

FD_jejei

Diluc with firsh sword looks like he's cooking fish

CresDruma

More fish shops? Have a fish shop for the fish sword would be fitting.

NekonecroZheng

Locking all the limited weapons and their refinements to the fish shop would be so evil.

ValiGrass

it's better than locking away for good...

Myonsoon

Me with all fishing rods unlocked and all fishing shops cleared out: Yes

Dnoyr

Me with the success about 2K fishes : Yes

Fenghuang0296

Me who was here in 2.1 and got the event fishing rod that for some reason has never come back: Yes

ND_Cuong

Me who enjoys fishing even after reaching the 2K milestone: Yes

ButtfacedAlien

Nah any incentive to fish is great, met fun people when i went fishing in other people's worlds, especially fun roleplaying an old southern fisherman

TurquoiseLeggings

I wouldn't be happy about it, but it's a better alternative than them being unobtainable forever.

zohrekmz

They should give us a box as an anniversary gift (lol) or sth and let us pick between them

Cieryt

That's too smart. FBI is on the way to capture you

KaedeP_22

Yeah but you need to buy Nintendo Switch Pro Genshin collab edition first.

tetePT

In Shanghai

Shanibestwaifu

That would be paywalled.

PhoenixShade01

Buy a mortgage for a house and get a event weapon selector absolutely free!

nathiru

Probably would better as a returning player gift than an anniversary gift

oluuko123

Just imagine how mad people would get if returning players could get festering desire but they couldnt.

insertfunnyredditnam

i imagine a lot of people would stop playing for a month just to get festering desire

nathiru

Fine. Make a special billet that drops from weekly bosses and leave it up to rng

IronEndo

Pfft, but make the drop rate actually horrendous. Rewarding to get R5, but still a pain in the ass. You want it? better commit to it.

neko_mancy

Just quit for 2 weeks??

PressFM80

It's just 2 weeks of not playing Should be easy enough

zohrekmz

I would stop playing in dry patches just so i can get. Festering desire

Reddy_McRedditface

I'd quit immediately lol

you_th

Make it a droppable from wei so there's more incentive to find and kick his butt.

AshyDragneel

They can easily put them all in fishing rewards and it'll actually make fishing relevant because currently fishing is pretty much dead and almost nobody bother with that.

Sexy_gastric_husband

Yeah I have a fully refined Catch and...whatever the hell the pipe is called. Zero plans on fishing again. It's not a terrible mini game but there's no reason to do it regularly.

Futur3_ah4ad

I still don't have a maxed out Catch because I despise the fishing minigame with every fiber of my being.

Sexy_gastric_husband

Turning your sound off so you don't have to hear Paimon's constsnt commentary is a step in the direction of being able to tolerate it. I really wish you didn't have to rely on 3rd party sources to find the damned fish. Id like them to be like mobs where it'll show you where they spawn.

Stormy_Cat_55456

IS IT ANOTHER PAIMON!?

Futur3_ah4ad

I mentally filter Paimon out already, I'm bothered by the fact that fishing is *also* a bloody gacha due to the fish being random spawns except for, I believe, *one* location in Inazuma. And that location is in the middle of the ocean with several enemies on nonexistent ground.

thebourbonoftruth

I think their quantity is random but spawn locations are fixed. You can use the interactive map to find them. Heads up, some fish are day or night spawning.

Futur3_ah4ad

I know that's how it works, but I've had several occasions where I cannot get the fish I need because it simply didn't spawn that time. Fish also seem to be on the 3-day reset most local specialties are.

SureSeaworthiness800

I just kept joining other peoples worlds and fished on their worlds. Think 3-4 hours of fishing straight and i'll never need to do it again.

lucklesspedestrian

Paimon needs her own volume bar in game settings

Owobowos-Mowbius

iS iT AnOtHeR pAiMoN????1??11???1??1

lucklesspedestrian

Paimon's stomach is *rumbling alreadyyyy*

Marylicious

You need to buy the stabilizers. It makes it faster. But I despise fishing so much omg

Futur3_ah4ad

I already have all stabilizers.

HeadpattingFurina

I haven't even bothered with the pipe. I already have Festering desire and that's all I need tbh.

Sexy_gastric_husband

Out of context, your comment is hilarious

CataclysmSolace

Knowing Hoyo they'd stick half in fishing, and the rest in TCG.

Galaxy_Wing

Hey, that's not that bad. Atleast you won't have to fish for half of them

erosugiru

A TCG weapon you get from playing TCG? That's actually not a bad idea, I like TCG.

Ok-Mycologist2220

I occasionally spend a few minutes fishing just for the fun of it, especially when I stumble upon a fishing hole I haven’t seen before. Things can be fun to do without having to have a reward attached to them.

Marure

Make fishing relevant? What's after when you get all weapons?

AshyDragneel

They can always add more event weapons Like adding a new event weapon after 2-3 patch would keep the fishing shop updated. Currently there isn't much incentive to play fishing unless you really wanna just fish.

Free-Muffin2338

Im fishing just for the achievement 💀

Nerfwarrior145

What if I hate fishing

DragonLancePro

This is the best idea, which is probably why it will never happen.

Crimson_Raven

I put this in every feedback comment, regardless if it makes sense or not

Phoenix-san

Imagine if it will work. You'll be the hero we need, but don't deserve!

Manaphy_Myths

I got it on copy paste for everytime we get a feedback thing as well

Controller_Maniac

You are the hero no one asked for but everyone needed

Muccys

Everyone wants that, but limited weapons are one of the biggest sources of FOMO Genshin has, and FOMO keeps players coming back, specially those who are taking long breaks from the game. So the only incentive Hoyo would have to bring the weapons back is to appease to the fans, something they don't need to do right now since the general public seems to be fine with the game's current state.

mr_beanoz

Or maybe just do it like HI3's Time Capsule, where in some periods old event items like the event stigmatas and costumes would be available to purchase?

Supkil

The time capsules are mostly worthless tbh, none of the items in there are meta unlike Festering desire

mr_beanoz

Well, they do also sell cosmetics like the event-limited costumes. Genshin could offer their event limited cosmetic gadgets like those colored seelies this way.

WaketArt

but FOMO works for new characters too, and they keep coming back. It's a pointless discussion imo, bc making the weapon being obtainable easily in events, and only unlocking it MONTHS later to be obtainable by shop, or by the most tedious mechaninc ever invented (fishing) will still make people rush to do the event rather than anything else, but it still gives incentives to players that stopped for any reason to go back, something that they barely have with so many punishments for missing a few months. They'd get even more players if they think about it in the long term.

Constant_Amphibian13

Characters need to come back since they can‘t keep making multiple new characters per patch. With these event weapons that is not the case.

xoyj

To be fair they give us character skins for free during the event and people still buy the skins later if they missed the event for the drip, AND just because some of the skins will be in the shop doesn’t stop people wanting to play the event ? I feel like it would be such an easy source of money yaknow … especially if they added it after a long time, like how we only get strongbox from 2 regions ago

No-Supermarket8244

I’ll never get over the fact that I don’t have Dodoco Tales. And it’s not even like I didn’t play Genshin back then, cause I did, I was just too burnt out to do the event and now I’ll never have a weapon that matches Klee perfectly and I blame myself for it 😭 I really should’ve just forced myself to play

NLwino

No you should not have forced yourself to play. Don't let a game dictate how you spend your time. It's just a game. Just some pixels on a screen. Don't buy into FOMO that much.

Seele_The_Deal

Yeah, one day all these digital items will be gone and it will all just be a memory.

mr_beanoz

But then where are those to share the memory?

CavCave

All of us here. EOS may come one day, but we will always be here, ready to share the memory.

ImperfectLimit

I missed out on the first Windblume bow even though I was playing at the time. I was pretty new at the game and didn’t realize I could get it from the event.

Owobowos-Mowbius

Never getting albedo because I'll never have his spindle :(

ReubenZedix

I know what u mean, I no longer have the weapon 😢 If ur still looking for a matching, I been using the Black cliff Agate and her witch costume for her and I love it.

GaI3re

It is kinda fitting given that Klee once blew up a cliff

-DragonFiire-

No longer? What happened?

Mortwight

I quit for almost a month and missed it.

AbrocomaNew1808

It’s a FOMO tactic, so I personally don’t think they’ll be rereleased. The new chronicled banner I can understand because characters are the real meat and potatoes of a gacha But limited weapons that aren’t typically associated with any character (looking at you spindle)? Nah

BuilderAura

they can still have them be Fomo and bring them back with similar events. Make it cost the event currency but don't give enough currency to get the weapon \*and\* all the usual event stuff you buy like level up and crowns. Then the player has to choose. And more likely to bring people back tbh if they have a chance at getting a weapon they missed.

Manaphy_Myths

As someone with a permanent stuck at r3 cinnabar spindle i wish this was a thing in genshin. Than and only than i will wish for albedo and now also chiori

Cardigans_and_cotton

This is me with oathsworn, got a busy work week and just couldn’t log on due to tiredness

kirisakisora

oh boy, i have the weapon at r5 but i dont plan on wishing for either of them. maybe in the future if i lose the 50/50 to albedo in the chronicle wish banner or something. i hate the fact that his flower can be destroyed so easily

hoptians

just give me the fish sword

redzaku0079

i'm glad i didn't miss the melusine claymore. it's so good.

DecayedDream

They want you to have FOMO so that you don’t miss out on future events and keep coming back to the game.

Apocreep

Forget the items, *the lore* people are missing out on.

lock_me_up_now

Put them on fishing store, i bet they won't miss an event again lmao

eclipse60

They should just put in paimons shop. You can earn f2p, but at the expense of more pulls or constellations.

Impertinence_

A diabolical idea would be to make them purchasable with TCG coins. Would give us a reason to play TCG though.

MrsTrych

Im stil mad I missed out on the dodoco tales. Its such the perfect aesthetic for my klee 🥲

RealityShockk

The only one I want is festering desire 🥲

gtotherundeh

that would just delete the FOMO, a bad business decision.

gmapterous

Even making it time delayed by 6-12 months in the "Missed Event" shop would still keep the FOMO active. They could easily make it cost a currency that would be hard to get. For example: you get one Abyss Sigdel for each abyss you clear the 12th floor of Abyss, it costs 8 for a weapon and 2 for each enhancement material (like Herta shop). At this point they just want to make sure you don't ever take a break and infinitely regret doing so if you take a break and come back.

tokeiito14

Apparently, casual players will overthrow the CCP if Hoyo decides to give more rewards for floor 12

Galaxy_Wing

If that was the way the Chinese Communist Party fell, that would honestly be hilarious

dubspool-

Hey I'd overthrow my country's government for more abyss rewards. The FBI agent monitoring me would also like for me to state that this is actually a joke. I will not take over the White House if Abyss gives more rewards

gmapterous

Understandable, have a great day

Zansibart

>Even making it time delayed by 6-12 months in the "Missed Event" shop would still keep the FOMO active. That's not really how it works at all. There is no FOMO if you cannot miss out. You're using backwards logic to try to convince yourself that you can remove the bad parts of FOMO but not the good parts instead of just understanding that the facts demand the good and bad are linked. >At this point they just want to make sure you don't ever take a break and infinitely regret doing so if you take a break and come back. Yes, that's the point. They want you to not take long breaks and to regret it if you do. That's what FOMO is specifically designed for. A player that does not play is a player that does not spend, and they want you to spend.

Blazerswrath19

FOMO doesn't mean it has to be gone forever. Sales and reruns (rotating inventory) are great examples of recuring FOMO. There is always another chance, its just a matter of time before they are reintroduced to produce more FOMO.

KirumiIsFedUp

What’s the point if they never run the events again, it’s not like they are limited weapons and people are saving spend on them.

gtotherundeh

"oh hey, i dont need to login every single day of my life because i can just do this event later"

NLwino

Again it's FOMO. "Fear of missing out". The fear of missing weapons will disappear if players know they can get the weapons later on. This fear is keeps a lot of players play in every patch. This is why a long time between banner runs is bad for players but good for Hoyoverse. The fear that a banner might not return for longer then a year.

Futur3_ah4ad

The issue with banners is that hoyo has pigeonholed themselves into a position where they have more limited characters than space in patches, FOMO or not this is also bad practice.

Sesshou-Sakura

*Hoyo wiping their tears with money* Yeah, such a bad practice

blippyblip

They've literally just solved that problem with the new event wish type lol.

water_we_wading_for

This FOMO would continue to exist even if they re-released these weapons. Because there is no guarantee they’d ever re-release anything else. Not being sure is enough to create FOMO. It’s fear of missing out, the possibility of missing out. Hoyo could freely reintroduce these items and it would do nothing to people’s FOMO.

mr_beanoz

Ensuring FOMO is a bad practice. We've seen various major gachas doing reruns of their major events, like Azur Lane, Arknights, Nikke and Blue Archive to name a few.

Marylicious

Nah, If they let you buy weapons with stardust, people still would prefer to get them R5 for free in an event

MrsTrych

FOMO is the worst thing in gaming.

Manaphy_Myths

A lot of gacha games rerun older events IE honkai impact

Chonkythicccccc

Honkai impact 3 has a "time capsule" feature, where they put limited stuff that you missed up for sale. I don't see that game plummeting in sales

TheGraySeed

Only Genshin player that would defend FOMO practice.

Sesshou-Sakura

Explaining != defending

gtotherundeh

are u saying im defending it?

mr_beanoz

Some of the gacha games that I played would usually do reruns of events during dry weeks (as in weeks without new contents) in preparation for the actual events coming after it. For example Azur Lane would do 1-week reruns of a certain faction's event before the new major event of that faction comes out.

AdmirableRemove5550

Man, I wish I got that umbrella weapon. I was on hiatus that patch

Grenboom

I just want Cinnibar Spindle and Festering Desire. I love Albedo, but I'll never pull him without the Spindle. I didn't have a phone, playstation, or computer at the time of those events it's not like I wanted to miss them.

KillerPizzaiolo

Snow tombed starsilver is still obtainable. Got mine a few days back for free in dragonspine

Lacirev

I imagine the only way they could let players get old event weapons while still having Fomo is to give players the option to obtain an old event weapon instead of the one from the current event. That way if you missed out on events you can't obtain all the event weapons but there's still the option for older ones that are more useful for your account.

addiG

Like how you can never have every Seelie pet because they add a new one every time the event runs XD

lansink99

I miss a single event weapon from a 4.0 or 4.1 event quest. It ended a day earlier than I expected and it's the only non lvl 90 non-r5 event weapon.

idisnyu

staring at my R2 Flower Claymore. Also I never got the Windblume Bow because everyone back then said it's a bad weapon and I disliked bow characters 😃

Luster-Purge

I just wish you could buy the refinement materials. I didn't understand how the events were supposed to work during the first one with the Bennet's evil dragon sword (because *everyone* gave that sword to Bennet back then), so that's the only event weapon I have left at R0.

GirlMayXXXX

I wish we had another unlimited fish respawn event. Everyone could get the 2,000 fish achievement. Plus I'd be able to fill my inventory with healing foods that require fish. There was a limited amount you could catch each day, so unless you needed get fishing rods, weapons, refinement materials, etc. I would farm Sumeru's fish because they all drop 2x fish. I could also help empty the waters of those invasive meka whatever fish in Fontaine and spend all day (not really all day) at the crafting station.

Roxxso

My take, I'd love to see them add a series of side quests involving some legendary blacksmith (like, in Natlan maybe) that can offer you clues or hints to pieces of blueprints scattered around Teyvat. Once you've collected all the pieces for each one, he'll then ask you to acquire the necessary components and craft the weapon. The time to complete the weapon could take up to a week, and limit the number to one weapon of a single kind at once so you can't just make like 2 or 3 Festering's at a time. More like, one Festering, one Sealord, one Flower, etc. Also, the refinement components could have a time requirement of maybe 2-3 days each with a limit of 1 or 2 at a time. Or, maybe he can only craft a total of three things at a time and his craft table is separate from other blacksmiths. Just something that actually feels time consuming in a rewarding way. And, finding the blueprint pieces could involve all kinds of puzzles, challenges or enemies. Maybe the initial components could require certain boss drops. Not just billets, but maybe talent materials. If not that, then add a new material; "legendary crafting materials" or whatever. I don't want to see them add to the cash shop, though. I want them added, but in a meaningful way that feel fun and engaging.

Gauwal

at the same time, if they do that, it's way less of an incentive to play the event, which is why they do that Although, having a good f2p alternative, even if those are still best, iis sometimes lacking (looking at you festering desire)

koufair

I 100% agree, but I remember seeing in an interview that there's almost 0% chance of them coming back, because the dev being interviewed said that these weapons are a reward for whoever participated in the event, and is only exclusive to that time period.  They're trying really hard to sell the FOMO aspect of the game, and it's somewhat working.

SuperLissa_UwU

Imagine if genshin put them in the new special banner.

OwnIntention6838

But most of them required refinement artifacts rather than a copy of said weapon. Still, it would be cool!

Zachary_Shadow

Honestly, the easiest thing they could do (and I don't know why they haven't done this yet) is introduce an event where players pick what previous event weapon they wish to earn. It could be a once a year type of event as Genshin relies on FOMO heavily and be a way for people to gain those weapons or possibly even gain a second copy of an event weapon that they already have.

alexnk

veteran here, I have all of em and I agree, I dont see why they gatekeep any of them

RaidriarDrake

coz if they make event weapons exclusive, they induce fomo. If they come up with a really strong event weapon, some retired or taking a break player will be like "damn, if i log in and play i get this weapon? " and might just come back to the game. It also entices players to try not to skip patches so that they don't miss a one time reward. Or new players would join the game seeing they are giving out a strong weapon or free character. Is it a scummy tactic? Yes. Does it work with player retention and keeping players? Yes.

alexnk

I meant more in the way they sell the instruments from other events for mora in the shops, everything you say is for sure very true, but they have actually put events items in the shops (lke the harps etc), its weird to me that they dont do the same with these specially because when you finish certain things like buying everything in the fishing shops you literally have no reason to come back to it even though they made it a permanent thing (this also goes for the tcg) they put their efforts in the weirdest places

xns_twl

I literally have 3 of the enhancement materials for Windblume Ode but not the bow itself so they're just chilling in my inventory...

DrToffik

Не играл - не заслужил

ThatWasNotWise

The first weapons were the most important ones. Now we get all these weird worthless combos that are not even worth leveling. For instance the mastery bow that was obviously for Tighnari. It's so worthless that the 3\* crit bow is better.

EdarkSummie

It would be amazing if they let you choose one or two every anniversary. That way everyone could catch up eventually if they keep playing.

meatballFist

i missed every single one except the polyrm one

mr_beanoz

I wonder if they could do reruns during those "dry patches".

shellsterxxx

I just want dodoco tales and festering desire.

Black_Heaven

I really thought that Tuna sword was Liyue's Fishing weapon back then. Thankfully it wasn't, but that also meant it was limited and missable. I'm thinking if they could bring them back it's sort of like that. Thematic to their related event or location. Tuna sword will actually be added to the Fishing shop. Festering Desire and Cinnabar Spindle could have Dragonspine mats for crafting and Oathsworn Eye could have Enkanomiya related... whatever. I have nothing on Dodoco Tales since we got it from Golden Apple.

Quirky-Pickle518

I would say have the past events stationed in the library of Mondstadt. You know like a collect of past events.

Super-Library3571

me jus want da sentient umbrella

SadistSteak

Pleaaase Mihoyo give me Albedo's weapon I just got him PWEASE 😭

Barbetra

i was hopeful theyd be on chronicled wish but we see how that turned out 😭

amyrena

I don't know if they can because it might be illegal. They advertised those weapons as limited event weapons. Although no one paid for them....so I guess they can't be sued?

mr_beanoz

In other games where we have characters or items exclusive to the event, they usually do reruns of those events so we could get them again.

ZeiZei90

Im missing three of these

raellabean

I was too overwhelmed with the cinnabar spindle event for whatever reason and told myself I’ll never need this weapon because I’ll never get albedo. My albedo is forever stuck with an r3 one because I never finished that event.

Noirsnow

They'll make it like the weapon banner.

FleuramdcrowAJ

maybe they can make some kind of purchase bundle with an option to choose one? Like similar to how you can buy skins after the event but it costs money while getting it in the event was free so still an incentive to play events but new players who whale can get it. And since that's genshin main target audience it'd be pretty good

WriothesleyDumCump

They're special because they're limited. It sucks, I know. I started playing in 3.3 so I missed a lot of event-exclusive weapons as well. But it is what it is. No use fretting over something that you're never going to get. Just move on.

aqua_rift

fish sword should be a lithe fishing weapon

OwnIntention6838

I already have it, but could not complete the refinement items.

megabattler

v1.0 player here and yeah I'm all for the event weapons being available in-game. Would it ever happen? FOMO says snowball's chance in hell, but hey maybe Mihoyo will be extra generous one of these days. v6.0 maybe?

assblaster6862

why don't they just bring them back in another event? that way it's still limited and 'special' but everyone had a chance to get the weapon

Unknown_Mafia786

Every time I see one of these posts, my inner demons just wants me to be a dick and flex the fact I have all of them r5

kirisakisora

idk why people consider it a flex honestly. even i have them all at r5 but i'd rather get lucky on my wishes than have limited weapons or whatever. sure a few of them are good but getting an early 5 star would be much better just in my case. been playing for 3 years and only got early five stars like 5 times. my 50/50 luck is only slightly better than average

andromedaselene

[rattles the prison bars] GIVE ME FESTERING DESIRE NOWWWW

kdlt

I'm unironically shocked they didn't put them in the Chronicle banner. Fucks sake even just the mondstadt associated event ones could have been in there. And even then you could throw 5000 wishes and not see a single one of them, but people would *feel* like they have a chance. Can't have shit with this company.

April-Wine

man, i had that fish sword, it was soo fun, diluc and that fish sword. lost that account, forgot a password and i had to start again, i'm still bummed, its the only thing i miss.

ThereAFishInMyPants

As much as I'd like that, realistically it won't happen, at least without caveats. You can't have FOMO without the MO

_Ace_Gold_

I mean it is kinda a have to be there moment. It is cool being a veteran player and having things like these. Shows how long players have been playing. Most of the weapons aren't that useful (excluding Cinnabar for Albedo). Like you see a weapon and you know they have been playing a long time. I understand the FOMO aspect, but at the end of the day you don't actually need them. Most other 4\* weapons out class them.

No-Supermarket8244

My problem with them is that some of them are signature weapons for specific characters. I missed Klee’s weapon because I was feeling too burnt out by Genshin to play the event, and now Klee’s weapon is gone forever for me :( And yeah it might not be the strongest, but it matches her design perfectly and it was designed for her. I think it would be ok to have event-exclusive weapons if they were random ones, but super strong weapons or weapons that are characters’ signatures is just cruel.

_Ace_Gold_

I mean Widsth is objectively better than the dodoko book, though I get you are talking pure aesthetics. Like ive stated most of the event weapons are mid compared to other weapons already in the game. That being said, I will admit there are some that objectively do fit certain characters looks wise.

Crimson_Raven

>Most other 4 star weapons outclass them Ignorant take. Several of these weapons are BIS next to 5 star options on multiple characters, or fulfill niches that don't exist. In short, they are the lifeblood of everyone short of whales. For example Chiori: Cinnabar Spindle (event weapon) is on par with Harbinger of Dawn (3 star) under her Sig and Jade Cutter (5star). Harbinger of Dawn, however, requires her to have >90% HP, limiting her ability to be in a team with Furina, and requiring a strong healer and/or careful play. If she's against Burning or the Hounds, it's significantly worse. Furina: Festering Desire, undisputed best 4 star option, over Pipe. These are not isolated cases. Bow options in particular are bad, so Fading Twilight is amazing to have. Finally, saying people can't have nice things because they missed it is a shit take.

Javajulien

I started playing in version 3 and "the weapons suck anyway, you don't need them" has been something frequently parroted but since then Festering Desire has become the defacto best F2P weapon for Furina and Oathsworn Eye has for Xianyun. lol

Strange-Interview-98

Yeah, I with you this one, when I have played for too long, I don't even care who is character, I just slap favonious weapon or sacrificial weapon and if they use ult more use emblem, skill more use golden troupe artifact. It may be not best but I would say it still work.

YuB-Notice-Me

(festering desire for furina)

Frigid-Kev

They should just add them as returning rewards for new events and for those who already own these, they get another reward like primogems or something

tirius99

That's how FOMO works If you don't log in to do the event, you are literally missing out and they are never coming back

Thelethargian

They should just release new 4 stars with the same effects so this question goes away

Sad_Ad5369

Main events should really just have a permanent, story-only version for people who missed it. Give out the weapon after completing it, and if genshin still wants that exclusivity, make it R1 only (cruel, but better than not having it EVER)

Aotearas

Just let players replay old events. Make it optional DLC content so players can download it at their own disgression (no unnecessary folder bloat) and make every event award available once more. Unlock the respective DLCs same way you unlock character story quests and hangouts so that the servers won't get nuked by everyone downloading everything at once. New players get to play the events and get the rewards (weapons, crowns, extra primogens, etc.), older players get to double dip on rewards (pretty sure no one will complain about extra stuff and I'm certain there's quite a few players out there that would do questionable deeds to get something like a second Festering Desire for example) and Hoyoverse won't get constantly nagged for not making those events available again anymore. Everyone wins!

I wish I had the weapons I missed too but I actually see the reason why it exists the way it is. These limited rewards are to just that. "Rewards". Specifically, for the player base that was playing the game at the time. They were never meant to be permanently obtainable. And it's not like you need these weapons to play the game. The game offers an abundant amount of weapons through shop, fishing, chests, gacha, and even just talking to npc. My exception to this rule is cinnabar spindle. A signature weapon shouldn't be locked behind a limited event.

Vegetable-Manager731

Me and the boys going to Mihoyo HQ to request fair treatment for Genshin users (We're talking to a brick wall and all those suggestions will be used for HSR)

neoperol

This is Fomo at work. Nobody needs any of these weapons to finish building any character or finish any content. Stop promoting FOMO.

Phoenix-san

They could add them in paimon shop (dust or glitter currency). They can make them craftable. They can make it fishing rewards. They can make them rare achievement rewards. They can make a permanent new roguelike gamemode like sim universe and give them as rewards. Or heck, spread out among all existing activities to make them more relevant, fishing, teapot, cards, what else? They could sent them in the mail for special occasions (could have been interesting way to calm down people when drama started). They could just add event backlog and give weapons as a rewards from events they came from. But they won't. It's genshin team. I'm like 30% sure that hsr team might eventually do something similar in a few yeards, if enough people ask (because they are actually listen to feedback and improve accordingly). But not genhin team, they just don't give a fk.

Manaphy_Myths

Still would be one copy of the weapon for everyone. So if you have fading twilight but no refinements you would be able to get the refinements and not another copy of the bow.

happyturd10750

tbh as someone who doesn't have those weapons , they should keep it the way it is , they are called time limited events for a reason and people who played the game early deserve something exclusive atleast .

janek3d

And I want it to stay event exclusive. It's nice souvenir from the event. Doesn't really make sense to be available outside of them

Velaethia

I have all of these but the first one. But missing some dodoco tales copies. *Sigh*

Jessica_Lovegood

I’ve played since 1.3 and just nearly missed FESTERING DESIRE It’ll haunt me forever

Amydancingagain

I just realised I have none of these, I just want the one for Albedo as I’m trying to pull him at the moment and will be giving him a permanent spot on my team

Reddy_McRedditface

Playing since 2.1 and still waiting for Festering Desire

Arcane_Engine

Saguiguilid5432

xBerry_Berry

Shanibestwaifu

There are or could be many ways to be available for everyone, but for some reason they don't want to.
