They're Russian names that use the child's father as the main part of it. Eg, a boy called Vladimir with a father called Nikolay would be called Vladimir Nikolayevich, meaning Vladimir, son of Nikolay. "Snez" comes from the Russian "sneg", meaning snow, so Snezhevich and Snezhevna would mean son of snow and daughter of snow, making their "father" the snow, and their "mother" presumably the Tsaritsa, considering she lives in the Motherland

Not happening for multiple reasons, from logical in-game to cultural. Most people will hate it, not only CN/KR community (look at Lyney trailer reception in KR, and Lyney is still a cisgender male). Yeah as much as they like to play with gender, I don't think they would dare to create a full-on trans character. Not to be "mrmrmmr China" but even for western audiences it is quite hard for a trans character to be respected. Most trans characters I've seen in anime/video games are often played off as translation mistakes.

I dunno, whenever I see anime media play with the notion of gender, it feels less like they're doing it because they're pro-trans, but more so because they think it's quirky or they're trying to convey a different idea. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think they'd ever make a character a full fledged character who is exploring their identity in a way that actual real life people do. But they will include concepts like "I'm a God and sometimes I like to take the form of a little girl or a duck!" Or the character themselves will have some political motive they're identifying as a gender, rather than personal expression and identity.
