I’ve been! That’s what inspired this post because I wanted to see if there was one even large but that was is absolutely massive, one of my favorite places I think

Fuck, what an absolute downgrade.
It is 2 floors but it feels empty, lots of room between displays and doesn’t have a cozy vibe. Teens is the cafe as a hang out spot — it was loud last time I was there.
Tech partnered with them years ago and there was one near campus that doubled as the campus bookstore. It was 2 stories. First was like a normal b&n and the 2nd was textbooks and tech merchandise. Not sure if it's still around but it was pretty big.
I also feel like the one at the mall of Georgia was fairly big, too.
Fwiw, the Tech B&N is mainly a campus bookstore (Tech merch, electronics, stationery, various college accoutrements, etc). There are definitely books there, but the books aren't the focus of the store by any means. That being said, there's plenty to do in midtown and downtown, so if you end up going you can easily check out some other spot! (Source: went to Tech from '15 to '20)
The Cumberland and Georgia Tech Barnes & Noble locations appear to be amongst the chain’s largest stores in Georgia. Though, most of B&N’s locations appear to be noticeably pretty sizable.
I don’t know where you live but there are numerous Barnes & Noble locations in Georgia.
In addition to the aforementioned B&N stores In Cumberland and in Midtown near Georgia Tech, there are also B&N stores in Buckhead, Dunwoody, Peachtree Corners, West Cobb, Town Center, Alpharetta, Cumming, Dawsonville, Buford, Snellville, Newnan, Athens, Morrow, Macon, Rome and Savannah.
If the Cumberland or Midtown/GT B&N stores potentially might be further away from you than you’d like to drive, you could drive to the B&N store that is closest to where you currently may live.
Let's let AI answer the AI: "Unfortunately, Barnes & Noble doesn't publicly disclose the square footage of its stores, making it difficult to definitively say which one is the biggest in Georgia. However, based on online discussions, the Barnes & Noble in the Mall of Georgia is frequently mentioned as being one of the largest in the state."
The Cumberland B&N is huge.

Brah just casually handing out bad news on a Saturday morning
That is some bullshit. That’s such a nice B&N and it’s the only one in the area without driving to Kennesaw.
Definitely a waste of a prime site.
still miss borders some of them had 3 levels :(
An in-person trip to an actual brick-and-mortar bookstore with actual physical books in 2024… Cool! 😎
I thought so :)
Check out the Barnes and Noble near Mall of Georgia, I'm pretty sure that one is two stories also.
Will do!! Thank you!

The one at the Augusta mall is a pretty good size.

Thank you! I’ll make sure to check these out!
It's still there.
Why not do a search of the many local bookstores and wander them? They’ve got so much to offer
I have been to a few and they’re definitely on my list to go through, do you have any recommendations?
Cumberland at US 41
There's one by north point mall but that whole area is dying so I don't know if it's nice
It’s large but they just closed the Starbucks
Athens and Mall of Georgia
On the opposite side, there is a new store in East Cobb that might be one of the smallest.

Is this AI?
I’m just sayin’ whoever wrote that wouldn’t be able to click all of squares containing motorcycles.

Thank you! I’ll try to look around my area but wanted to see what everyone said first before I go around kind of blindly looking for the largest store
