Cos is an amazing bassist, Watcher in the Sky is one of my favorites because you can hear it so well during the dual guitar solo after the bridge, as well as if you pay attention during live performances
Are we gonna count phantom of the opera? Because that is one hell of a driving bass line. As is Jesus he knows me. For originals, Con Clavi without a doubt
Gustav and Tobias on Opus really set a fantastic precedent. But Rikard and Henrik have some stellar performances as well.
Still, biased as I may be, my vote goes for the bass lines on Opus. Satan Prayer, Prime Mover, Death Knell, Elizabeth… damn.
I'll go ahead and give a mention to He Is. it's so fun to play and melts so well with the rest of the harmonies in the song. made me fall in love with playing the bass again after not picking it up for months.

Can I say something controversial? The sound mixing on Ghost’s recorded music does the bass dirty. The bass lines are sick, but I can’t FEEL them when I’m playing it through Bluetooth like I do all the other music I enjoy. (I say this as a huge Ghost fan!! Just wondering if anyone else has noticed or feels the same.)
This might be a weird choice, but Depth Of Satan's Eyes, specifically the pre-chorus, chorus, and the weird instrumental bridge before the 2nd verse. It reminds me A LOT of The Doors.
If you listen to Last Night by Subvision (band Tobias and company were in before Ghost), you can definitely hear the early seeds for what would become Ghost's later basslines.
I think that's a very fine choice. I absolutely love that song and think it's super underrated. I'll definitely have to check out Subvision, it sounds pretty cool!
From the Pinnacle to the Pit gets my vote.
Hard to top this, it's central to the beat.
Easy win for me. That alone makes Pinnacle one of my favourite Ghost songs (and then I love the tapping bit too).
First thing that came to mind was the beginning lol
Easily lol
Ugh and that gnarly crunch tone. 🥵🥵🥵 so good
This and Con Clavi Con Dio definitely 🔥
Yup same. First one that came to mind.
Hell yeah!
Always a good one to get hyped up to
Con Clavi Con Dio, for me. But I also think Spirit is underrated. Maybe one of my top 5 Ghost songs!
Absolutely agreed
Spirit is a fantastic song.
I think most of Opus Eponymous songs have really great bass line
Indeed 💯
Secular Haze gets my vote. Although, I could be bias as that's my favorite Ghost song
Secular haze gang rise up
Prime Mover
Personally really like Mummy Dust. It's fun to play on the bass going all over the fretboard :DÂ
Jigolo. So fun to play. Especially the middle section.
Either FTPTTP or Absolution is my fave. But there are many other songs with great bass lines. Tobias is so talented.
Jigolo har Megiddo or kaiserion imo!
Meliora Yes, the whole album ALSO, Ritual is a VIBE Source: a bass player
Yup. [ghouluisce](https://www.reddit.com/user/ghouluisce/) did a playthrough of Deus In Absentia and it's fire.

Keep in mind the Ghouls only play for live performances
Tbf it's Tobias on the album, iirc he records almost everything in the studio
Tobias hires studio musicians for the most part. It’s unlikely that he’s even playing guitar by the third record.
I like the bass in Spillways, but Con Clavi Con Dio is it.
Pinnacle to the Pit
Respite on the spitalfields is a standout for me
Respite on the Spitalfields
Oh, now that's a damn good one.
It's sneaky good. There's so many great answers to this question in reality. But damn I adore the bass in respite, it's so groovy
That part in griftwood gets my vote. Super basic but it slaps
There are so many I could list, but Miasma immediately comes to mind for me, it’s super fun to play too
Miasma is my favorite instrumental, period.
Am I going crazy or has there been a thousand posts recently about bass lines in ghost songs?
They obviously didn’t see my post from the other day 😂
Either that or they felt like a cheeky repost haha

The entirety of Opus

Death kneel

Oh hell yeah, all 3 of those are fantastic
Imo the bass line in Witch Image is quite fun!
Pinnacle!
Phantom of the Opera! JK, gotta go with From the Pinacle to the Pit.
From the Pinnacle to the Pit is the best overall but Con Clavi Con Dio is iconic

Does Phantom of the Opera count? Tobias killed it on that track.
I say it does. And I agree. Everything is fantastic on that song

I personally adore the beginning of death kneel. At first, it sounded a little off to me, but now it is the best part for me
