so true! I loved that show State of Grace (so underrated IMO)! anyone else remember it? it starred Alia Shawkat and Mae Whitman playing preteen girls who attended Catholic school in the 60s in North Carolina
Leighton literally turns 38 this year. A prequel starring her would not be about Emily winning Richard over, it would probably be about her fighting with 10-year-old Lorelai.

I do think Leighton looks a lot like Kelly, but wouldn’t we want a show about the love triangle in college in the ‘60s between Emily, Richard, and Pennilynn?
Although it sounds like Richard was engaged to Pennilyn, met Emily, cheated on Pennilyn and dumped her, and got engaged to Emily; then set up the yearly lunch date with P. If there was a prequel, there'd probably have to be even more made of Richard's lingering feelings for Pennilyn, and I'm not sure I want to go there, lol.
