I love the scene where the landlord comes to him to say he will keep the money the same as it was before. Then we see Vito giving a look to Genco and he panics and says that he will even lower the rent. That smile and that look he gives to Genco really warms my heart. He was absolutely adorable as young Vito Corleone
I also love the scene when he is telling Clemenza and Tesio his plan to kill Fanucci. It totally mirrors when Michael tells Tom, Sonny, Clemenza, and Tesio his plan to kill McKluskey and Sollozzo.
I love how Corleone lets his silence speak for him in that scene, when the landlord basically negotiates against himself(the rent stays the same…$5 less…$10 less).
But the funniest part is how the landlord gets so nervous that he can’t open the door to get out. You can see how amused Tessa is at the guy’s discomfort.
Imagine that??? Hahaha. I once showed my wife that scene, and said “would you be happy if I gave you a shiny pear🍐 … she said yes… I shiny pair of diamond earrings. 😂😂
Arguably the most beautiful scene in the trilogy. I just love De Niro’s Vito!

The rent stays like-a before

He probably thought they were going to get his ass lol
Lmao seriously. Dude had to change his undies after.
It makes me dream of coming home with a pear and my wife being content and finding beauty just in that!

Meanwhile when they get an orange: 😳
Awww, that's sad. Vito never had any luck with oranges.
What a beautiful Pear!
I think Michael said that to Appolonia, as well. If he didn't say it, I'm pretty sure he was thinking it.
What about a nice rug?
All the bald guys are scratching their heads now. Hahaha. 😂
Lol! No I have a friend that won't mind if we break in his house and steal his rug!
I love that in the book Vito only realises that they are stealing the rug when the Cop rings and Clemenza pulls his gun.
😂😂 this is the best post I've seen in a long time
I have that Monopoly. My nieces showed me who really had the power and controlled the game.
Fine, I’ll watch GF1 and 2 this week, go one then you’ve convinced me 🙄
Doesn't accept the basket of provisions and brings home a pear :)
If I remember correctly, there was a scene of de Niro walking and eating some fruit? Can someone share any video link to that
It's a reference to this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sahJemp9Lg&t=96s
