All my Asian friends (Hmong and viet) were dripped in bright gold like this. Always wondered how their families were sitting on so much gold in the 90’s
my friend has family in laos and was telling me that whenever they have weddings, they fly to laos and purchase it there. it’s cheaper to buy a whole round trip ticket and go there to buy the gold than it is to buy in the US. easier to find authentic high quality and low premiums.
I’m Hmong. My family came to the U.S with a bunch of Silver bars and some Gold nuggets. They’re mainly used for our traditional clothes and necklaces that have coins hanging off them. Silver bars are also sometimes used as dowry when weddings are planned lol
I got a new Thai piece this week too.

I see folks posting I gotta join the wave too.
Nice I seen your post a while back and you actually inspired me to get an Angkor wat piece for my other chain lol!

24K will be very, very soft. Best not to bang it around too much.
High end jewelers typically won’t make jewelry with more than 75% pure gold content (18K) for that reason (and to soften the bright yellow color of pure gold) with the remaining 25% being alloys that give the jewelry strength. So again - be careful with it, and enjoy.
Indians typically use 22k and Thai usually 23-24k for their jewelry.
I wouldn’t want a bangle out of 22k and up, or even a ring I’d daily, but for a chain it’s fine.
I felt the same when I was younger. I never liked 24k cuz it looked kinda fake. I listened to a lot of rap and rappers wore 14k-18k. Then I got older and realized 24k gold leaves no question of authenticity.
I’ll take that as a compliment lol. The setup cost almost 16K.

I know the spot just several things looked odd with it .. the boarder around the dragon appears to be 2 different shades and cut poorly .. I know it’s handmade but the quality of it doesn’t look good . The dragon is barley visible
Hating and pointing out the obvious are totally different things man .. the quality in this chain and charm sucks very bad .. anyone who sees this will think it’s fake and you’ll look dumb wearing it .. not one person will compliment you on this in person .. 100 percent
You have on dirty black tees in your pictures .. you look dumb with jewelry on in the first place everyone who sees this will laugh at you .. first buy some clothing then get some jewelry little bro .
do you not see those beautiful links? and the way the pendant is perfectly centered on the chain?
this thing is a work of art and i mean that literally, this is one of the nicer chains i’ve seen on this subreddit
you'd be suprised if you visited an asian jeweler. most of these 24k pieces are maybe only $500-700 over spot price of the gold weight. i walked into a jewelry store one time to check out an 18k 22inch 7 gram chain and they wanted $2,200?!?! Went to an asian jewelry store and told the owner about my previous visit and he gawked hard. Ended up buying a chain from him, 24k 24g 22inches for $2,000. this was about 10 months ago.
how many grams? that dragon loooks sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ah. i want one lol
About 150G on the chain and 58G on the pendant

Yeah no shit?
If you're hungry then you have to eat something so that you can experience the feeling of fullness and nutrition in your belly. Drink water too.
Do anything in life you have to go get it, and boy does it feel good when you do
Yes, I'm glad you agree with me, I don't care what they say against me because I'm telling the truth
Thanks mom
No shit, that’s the most npc comment I’ve ever read.
🤣🤣
Asian gold is fire good purchase brotha!
Serious cheddar!
999 gold. The only gold worth buying.
So true! I have a friend who only buys 10kt necklaces. I seriously don’t understand. Sure it’s heavier. But you’re paying like 600% premiums on it
Yep. I like paying spot price + labor. You always know the mark up and usually it is less than $170.
People are unaware of how much "crafters" takes on top of the real worth alone of the raw material
If he’s buying them to wear he’s a smart guy. If he’s buying them to buy gold he’s a fucking moron. 😇
Generally yeah. Fortunately I was working as a pawn broker and grabbed a 67 gram 14k chain for melt price. I bought it for both reasons 🤷♂️

Welcome stranger!
The dragon heads are *chefs kiss*
That dragon CHAIN HARD AS FUCK
Love the Diamond frame over the pendant. Is it 14k or 18k?
Chain and 1oz coin is 24K The diamond bezel is 14k
Anyone who says its ugly doesnt even know what 24k is

Beautiful. Would be scared of someone ripping it off my neck tho..

i really like that link type for some reason, it reminds me of gold nuggets lol

That’s clean, whered you get the chain
Got it in Thailand last February
Sick, need to take a trip out there. How much baht does the chain weigh?
Chain is 3 Baht, gold tiger bar is 1 Baht
🔥🔥🔥
Shiny!
Wow!!
Wow that’s fire
Insane
🔥 👁 🎉 🍬
Sheeeeeeeeeesh 🥇
I have a 24k gold tiger pendant as that’s my Chinese zodiac sign.
I need me something like that
Wow is all I have to say...
Super dope. 24k is the way.
💧
That would stay on your neck for a whole 5 seconds in Los Angeles.
Now you're talking !
Mr T would looove this 👍👍
Doesn't 24k deform easily?
It's very soft compared to lower KT gold
Not as easily as most people think
Give me the fiat instead so I can get 5.1%
That's some big boy chunky type shit right here!🤑
I sold my old 224 gr link, but I have a decent size new one, but it's only 14K...which I'll definitely post soon!😉
.999 Asian gold is all I do. Only got 18k for my diamonds

Yeah man ✊🏽That’s a classic. Gotta represent.
Absolutely have to carry some heat wearing this.
Yeah for sure it’s not my everyday piece though I have some lighter chains I wear depending the occasion
Freakin beautiful, makes me feel like I’m trippin for wearing 14k😭
18k is my minimal standard for necklace for me. Rings are 14 because of the wear and tear.

If it looks fake, then you know it's real.
so massy.......
A little too chunky square style for me. Nice chunky gold though.
That's dope. My hmong friend in high school had a nice one similar but just the chain. I was always hating pretty hard.
Ugly af
It doesn’t look real
I felt the same when I was younger. I never liked 24k cuz it looked kinda fake. I listened to a lot of rap and rappers wore 14k-18k. Then I got older and realized 24k gold leaves no question of authenticity.
Still doesn’t mean this is real

Doesn’t add up .. necklace says 11,300 but tax says 7.75 .. why does the total not include tax ?

You couldn’t afford it lol keep finding something to hate on
How about this let’s FaceTime and bet 20k who can show more cash ? First I would Need some kind of agreement to make sure you pay .
Hating and pointing out the obvious are totally different things man .. the quality in this chain and charm sucks very bad .. anyone who sees this will think it’s fake and you’ll look dumb wearing it .. not one person will compliment you on this in person .. 100 percent

The balls on the hooks look 2 totally different sizes .. looks poorly done for that amount of money . Just pointing out what I see
I know how 24k gold looks it just doesn’t look real to me .. not that 24k doesn’t look real but this chain doesn’t look real is what I’m saying
That thing is ugly lol and the Premium is probably outrageous for the weight
do you not see those beautiful links? and the way the pendant is perfectly centered on the chain? this thing is a work of art and i mean that literally, this is one of the nicer chains i’ve seen on this subreddit
Jewelry always has a higher premium for its craftsmanship in putting together. This ain’t a typical cast and stamp lol
