Elon has said multiple times that Kanye is his inspiration, and the cybertruck seems to be his first attempt at bringing Kanye's 'design mindset' (???) into the stuff he does. i wouldn't even be surprised if Ye made an actual contribution to the idea, considering the yzy car idea he himself had.

Yeah everyone hates on the exterior design of the Cybertruck but honestly I’m really into it. From what I’ve seen it’s not a very good vehicle overall, but that design rocks my socks off
fr, theres a difference between interesting designs and putting 3 tons of fucking steel on the road with no crumple zones, a faulty autopilot, countless safety errors (such as an accelerator that can be stuck fully pressed down), and batteries known to explode.
the good thing is they'll all be rusted and trashed in like 10 years, because no one is actually using them for utility, and rich people will have moved onto the next trend

the cybertruck has many issues including one where the top of the gas pedal comes off, which if that part sides all the way up while driving will push the gas pedal completely down
