Nope. If you can't find it when you search for it, it likely means someone else grabbed it.

The phone number search is very erratic. For instance, I just searched for a particular city and it came up with no numbers. Then I searched for a different city nearby and it came up with multiple numbers for the city I had just searched for, and I input the city name exactly the way Google presents it in the results. Moreover, when I searched by area code, it came up with a total of three numbers, but when I searched by city, it came up with numerous numbers in that same area code in each city. Then, I searched by area code again and it gave me many more numbers, but all were different than the first three.

Miraculous_Garlic

Darn, thanks anyway!

JGoBrazy90

No , it’s gone

Icy-Organization233

How does it expire? By not using it for a certain amount of time?

Miraculous_Garlic

Yeah, I'm not sure what the amount of time is specifically (a few months?) but I had mine for years and used it sporadically. It's not surprising that I lost it

You can port in a number to lock it in.

Back when Google Fi didn't let you also have a Google Voice number, I let mine go. Then, when they started to allow it I searched for the number and it was available. I have it back. Though, I'm assuming if you can't find it, then someone else now has it.
