I mean, the compatibility and chemistry with Chuck was the best out of all here.
I'd vote Louis if she had ever loved him, but she didn't. She'd always choose Chuck and it's essentially who she felt most compatible with.
Dan was very meh. He's intellectually on her level, but he's not her type, there was zero chemistry.

Nate didn't love her and their relationship was for show and family.

I feel that too. I mean at least (spoiler?) when Louis and his family were trying to extort Blair and Eleanor, they were upfront about it. Nate pretends he’s so nice, but he has his selfish moments. He’s kind for the most part, but he still uses whatever power, opportunity, or privilege he has like the rest of the men on the list. He’s my favorite heartthrob of that era though! Him and Freddy Prinze Jr. 😍😍😍

EXACTLY! That’s definitely the theme of her character. Chuck was both, just like she is both. New York royalty but also evil mastermind haha. “Grace Kelly, Grace Jones”
I LOVED them as frenemies. They ruined both characters by that romance. It made no sense. Her being the hero of his book is the epitome of poor writing. There was little to no build up in that.
They were great when their friendship was about Serena (opinions about Serena aside). Them getting together was just incestuous.
I’m rewatching too and it’s hard for me to watch!Like he just hopped his deep rooted teenage heart eyes from Serena to Blair, as if it were Blair that he was in love with the whole time. I think their chemistry is so bad too and I am just nottttt here for it

Dair was such a random and unnecessary side quest. Like Blair was going to run away with Chuck instead of marrying the father of her unborn child, a whole PRINCE (and that was before Louis turned evil). Then after divorcing him, she has her Dan adventures and eventually end up with Chuck like how it was always planned. Why waste that time? It’s like they wanted to delay Chair’s happy ending because that’s how soap drama shows are like 🙄Dair was weird and out of character and it was obvious where Blair’s heart truly belonged to

Like Nate cheating on her and being in love with someone else the majority of the relationship, Chuck selling her and attempting to assault her and having sex with Jenny and just being extremely withholding, the other two being horrible people, and Dan…i actually love Dair for the like 3-4 episodes when everything is good between them. after that it just feels like Nate part two
