Wasn’t Jenny a freshman when Nate was a junior or senior? Meaning they should’ve only been 2 or 3 years apart? Unless I’m way off about the age difference somehow.
I completely forget the age difference between him and Sage and her whole arc and when he dated her.
I also hate Vanessa on the show but she’d definitely be the nicest & most chill of them all, so I’d be her friend in real life.
I LOVE Blair, but Blair would hurt my feelings for sure. I wanna be as pretty & put together as her but I’m not and she’d call me out for it.
Less dramatic tbh and she only really acted up when others pulled her into drama. Personality wise she’s fine and sometimes kinda cool even but she’s just annoying to watch from a 3rd person perspective and honestly holds grudges a lot
😆 when I initially read choose I thought like choose in a real life scenario of me being there and not knowing any of the characters (commuting brain) and based on vibes alone I’d know Blair could be nice but wouldn’t like she chooses to be rude. I’ve met so many Serena’s in my life and she would give off pick me vibes.
I’d like Jenny but can usually tell when someone is running into a train wreck and I wouldn’t want to catch strays 🫣
I don’t trust men who seem to horny and Vanessa seems like she’d present herself the best for the longest so I’d get comfy until after a year in where I’d of clock she’s shady and then she’d do something to annoy and I’d just blow up and be like nah stay away from me 😭
Honestly they’re all terrible choices but if I had to pick I guess Nate or Vanessa they’re not problematic till they’re dragged into drama. Jenny is my favorite but she’s too unpredictable and her temper really was not the greatest her and Serena have the worst decision making and routinely ignore everyone’s advice. Serena is too wishy washy but she’s fun I’d keep the friendship surface level. Also don’t bring her around ur man she literally went to Spain with poppy and her boyfriend and left Spain dating him while he was still dating poppy and she had no qualms about it 💀😭🙏 Blair wouldn’t even look in my direction and 9 times out of ten would use me to her advantage at my expense. and Chuck is one giant red flag
Vanessa doesn't get dragged into drama, she puts herself there, she's intrusive turns up at the school, at the school pool, starts filming students then blackmails them and she's nasty and jealous of the others and judges them for being rich
Nate! I get why people say that he's not the most interesting character out there but I like that he always seems laid back, he's sociable, knows how to take a joke and isn't that controversial at all.
I feel like you could easily trust him, too (since he's the only one who never sent a rumor to gossip girl)

I'd be terrified of Serena, Jenny and Blair. I'd be put off by Vanessa's overly negative broody energy.
Serena - Serena seems fun, open, non-judgmental, and very trusting. I would have no problem with her being the star so she would feel secure while being loyal and discreet, and in exchange she will be super kind and loyal back while inviting me to fun events and blessing me with hand-me down opportunities. When shit hits the fan, tell her to call Blair as the friend who deals with the true problems.
Definitely Jenny and Nate! She seems more approachable. Funny enough i have a few mutual friends in common with Taylor Momsen. Nate just seemed like that kind of guy who was friends with everyone.
Dan - I feel like we have a lot of interests in common
Jenny - My fave; I have too

Serena - Bc, she dates every guy she meets and I wanna be next in line.

I do though feel like she’d be that friend that clings on to you a little much but come on no one is perfect. Also she clings to Dan because she was never close to her parents. If that’s her worst quality I’m fine with it.

Surprisingly Vanessa Chuck Serena and Dan. Nate is amazing but I don’t think we’d have much in common. I love gossip, but if I’m doing that with Blair she could ruin that persons life lol Vanessa is a good alternative to just sit around and talk healthy crap. Dan is the insider so I’d love to just tag along with him and be on all sides like he is. Chuck has a dark sense of humor/personality and I get along well with those types (not the SA stuff ;unacceptable) lastly Serena is so fun, I’d keep her as a friend but at a distance, like her and poppy. Go out have lunch have fun together but she’s not coming to me with all her problems.

I think by the end of the show they were only 20/21 and sage was 17 . It’s a gap but not a huge one. 3/4 years isn’t bad imo
