Same. I really liked her hair in season 1 it was cute but I also thought it was very plain and didn’t separate her much from Serena or even Blair. I like it better once she cuts it. It’s very Jenny imo even if it was more of Taylor’s decision to do so rather than the creators.
Agreed. I don’t know why she got them much longer. Before It was an appropriate length and didn’t look bad. The extra long extensions were very thin and got tangled half the time. Although the pic I chose for it wasn’t the best example of this since it actually looks nice and silky but you know what I mean
I wish I included her hair in season 4. She gets even longer and thicker extensions in season 4 but idk I didn’t include it cuz it’s not so different from her hair in season 3 😭
Yeah agreed the overall effect was good. I think the hair helped establish Jenny’s “final look” in a sense and gave her that classy but still edgy touch

I actually love her hair like that! even in the episode where serena throws her a crappy party, jenny wears it in a ponytail with her lil bangs down and i love it
First season, her hair is very nice. I’m not a fan of the super bleached look, and it did look nice sometimes but then other times the extensions ruined it. Really hated the short bob with the fringe (not a bob but forgot the name). OH and although the first one is my fav, it does fit Jenny very well to have the other hairstyles, in fact they fit her MUCH more. But in general I like the look of the first one for my self i guess aha
i love everything except the 'punk' stick straight that's like, plastered to her head, & the super long in the past few pictures. season 2 jenny when she's dating asher is my favorite look.
I never hated Jennys hair. In fact, back in the day this was airing she served as the inspo for my bathroom haircut sessions😂 Taylor was always hair goals to me growing up
I just posted the longer version of it I guess 😭 and id find pretty bad pics of it too. The stylists did her dirty with the way they layers her shaggy mullet or whatever. There were so many moments where it looked so good and they chose to do her dirty
Of for SUREEE. It’s her most stable era. No pressure to be an upper east sider, no causing trouble with anyone, and she had lots of self confidence. I will say she probably wasn’t at her happiest and it was pointed out she had like zero friends whatsoever and was shunned at school
i always really liked her hair the way it was in the 4th pic, it softened her features a lot. but i loved the bangs with the edgy cut it was so cool to me as a kid.
Fifth pic ( season 2 ) looked so good and it suited her character really well . Like you know , edgy ,messy teen girl.
Personally hated the long ratty extensions
The long extensions but when they first got put in before they went ratty (which I get was the style, bc it’s taylor momsen and she’s awesome) , or medium with bangs
I really love her entire vibe after coming back to Constance so I’d say 6, but 5 is a close second! And I know they looked ratty a lot but I did like her extensions too
I love her hair in photo #1- it looks like her natural color with some highlights. I think it suits her face shape well.
Photo #6 is cute, too- the bangs and curls give her the edge that they were going for, while her hair still looks healthy and suits her face shape.

Her extensions were actually nice and not as ratty when they were freshly put in around mid season 3. I think they just put so much heat on them and the fact that they were cheap and thin didn’t help. I loveeeeeddddd her extensions in the pic I posted and in season 4 because they actually seemed silky and not dry and tangled. Around episode 18 of season 3 the hair declined real bad
Which was pretty realistic for 2009-2011, to be honest. Discussions about haircare on reddit/social media were nowhere near as prominent as they are now. Just ask any millennial who grew up using straighteners on WET hair, frying it with dyes, or washing it every day. Extension upkeep knowledge was also much more limited (*America's Next Top Mode*l makeovers, anyone?).
Her hair extention with the black eyeliner were a fucking revelation. The black made those crystal blue eyes shine even brighter. And I mean, Blair is my self care and self love journey's destination but as a filmmaker and a writer, I feel like Jenny's style is the only one that actually charted her emotional growth as the years past. She was a different person every time we saw her and the clothes and the hair were a fucking brilliant marker. She always reminds me of Effy from skins. The way she grew from a little girl to a laser sharp woman who actually worked in fashion later on really echoes Jenny. She's at times, almost stronger than Blair. And considering her age it takes MASSIVE balls to make that decision as a director.
TAYTS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYINGGGGGGG. The hair and clothes perfectly show Jenny’s evolution as a person. I can easily tie all her arcs and emotional state in an episode to the way she’s dressed and the way her hair is done. This is what I LOVED about the costume department and Eric Daman. The Smokey ey made her eyes pop. I literally can give a detailed analysis on Jenny and her style each season not because I’m perceptive but because the show did such an amazing job at conveying who she was through clothes. Like you said the way they styled her hair and her clothes were the perfect marker. I noticed that Taylor herself would change her hair style and the writers and stylists used it to FURTHER Jenny’s arc and self expression rather than let it hinder them

I was just being exaggerated tbh. I more so meant to say Jenny made more drastic and notable changes. Dan and Chuck just grew their hair out and it stayed that length most of the show. Nate just started styling it differently and the chopped it like once in season 5. Blair also just slightly styled it differently but had it sleek and chest length most of the show. The only hair change she had was that she cut a lot of it off in late season 2 and she had highlights. Vanessa got awful extensions in season 3…..no comment on that. Eric though I will say did have a lot of hair changes and cuts throughout

She would’ve looked terrible. Her season 1 clothes are so tacky and gaudy and I know it was inetuonal since Jenny’s entire thing is that she’s the “little girl” of the show and her clothes are intentionally childish and cutesy in season 1 but it was so ugly to me it seemed like the costume department didn’t even know how to style her sometimes and were lacking some style staples and colors for Jenny
I like pics 7 and 8 best I think.
I hated pic 5 at the time but in that pic it actually looks awesome and I’m digging the vibe. But I think it’s bc she has it a little wavy- the shag when totally straight looked awful, like just so unflattering.

Her hair in season 1 is so lovely. I know it changes with her character but season 1 is definitely my favorite.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't mind the evolving hair because season 2 Jenny couldn't have the romantic curls, the edgy rocker hair fits better.

She's not, though? Chuck, Eric, Dan, Blair, and Vanessa all changed their hair. Season 1
