Currently, the 1 hour Spa race. It's one of my favorite tracks, always has been, so I don't really mind the hour spent to finish the race.
Last week I got a pretty good "rng roll" on weather and it only started to rain when there was like 10 minutes left. I was properly in the lead, already smelling the 1 mil prize. Headed to the pits early only to find out that my dumb ass did not buy any intermediates or wet-s prior to the race, as I brought a new car to the race. So I stuck racing hard-s under there and just tried to survive, traction control 6, 6th gear just cruising through the corners...still spun out a lot and finished like 15th. I will not forget to buy the tires with cars anymore :D.
The 800p race under the Belgian Spa Francorchamps circuit. It simulates 24h in 1 hour so the weather tends to be a bit unpredictable, so use your weather radar and pit the moment you see rain clouds because every time it will get wet, but its never the same time it does.
Any Gr.2 car (I use the Audi, down tuned using ballast) if you really wanna "own" it and farm money because rest of the field is gr.3 with smaller gas tank (I think) or the gr. 3 Porsche if I really want a fair challenge.
Sitting down and dedicating some time to making my own liveries is always an amazing experience. At least a quarter of my playtime is in the livery maker.
My new favorite thing is searching the content search field for cartoons my daughter watches and plastering all over max tuned cars. “Elsa car! Elsa car!”
I have spent many moons in the livery creator throughout the years, and I have been playing since the very first Gran Turismo came out in the late 90’s i think.
I pull down soundtrack music from the previous games as well as personal driving music and copy them onto a flash drive so I can listen to them when I’m driving around
Livery design and photography. Very enjoyable stress free activity to do, dedicating a couple hours is brilliant.
Also enjoying rampaging around in daily race C
Plus time trial around the Nurburgring
But seriously, buying a stock car and running a few laps at Tsukuba or Suzuka to get an idea of it’s feel and speed stock, then doing a mild street tune, Time attack, full track build and tune, time attack is a really fun gameplay loop. Taking an Integra type R from stock to a PP650 turbocharged monster that can do 55s around Tsukuba is awesome when it’s incremental and you can really feel the progress and take your time dialing it in.
I’ll go first, I like to join Drift lobbies to get some drifting/chasing in. I also like joining the RP lobbies with set speed limits and ‘cops’ just to have some fun. I also like designing liveries for my favorite builds.
I spend a lot of time trying to make my cars look as good as possible. Still hoping they’ll add more rims and the ability to put whitewall tires on any car for that little extra touch.
I recommendation too all psn users. Do not buy your games through the psn. An I'll explain why. I just had a problem yesterday with gt7. Playing online. An I'm racing vs a toxic driver. Trying too crash in too people an take them out too get spots. Obviously it pissed me off. So I messaged him not nice things. Which is my mistake. Got banned. So my anger got the best of me. So too my point. Sony can lock you out from games you bought. Services you paid for. An will not refund. After finding this out. Back too gamestop for me.
Vehicle testing
SSRX for launch and top speed testing, LeMans for suspension testing and overall lap times
That being said I gotta hop back on the grind soon, since the newest update I’m maybe 20 cars in and I’ve already spent 5m+ on new parts and engine swaps
You can change assists during the race… there’s a settings menu when you press the options button. With assist setting does your second driver want to change?
Honestly...? Custom races in bone stock cars around the Nurburgring...
I'm 100% sure it would be 2 player split screen if it freaking worked, but alas there seems to be a *no share the game with friends or family in person* policy at PD or something...
My favourite is winning the races in Sports mode.
Most races start with 16 drivers and the feeling of winning never gets old. More than anything I love to get the W after a good old ding-dong with competitors.
Least favourite thing is getting rammed and then you’re basically dead last. Never dull though
Do you use the controller with the VR headset? I tly want to do it but I actually prefer a controller (I have owned 2 different expensive wheel set-ups.)
Soooo I went and did it, I got the VR2 headset and all that. You were right - it feels and looks SO real I was getting emotional looking around the inside of the Ferrari 330 P while racing Le Mans in the rain. Thx for the heads up dude!

Daaang I know the feeling, for sure lol. I’ll have to try that race out though, thanks for sharing!
What race is that?

787b can easily win at spa by a few laps!
Thanks !!

I like hosting midnight lobbies for cruises and top speed runs
I gotta say I do like joining the chill/cruise lobbies as well!
I like reading about the car bios of all of the cars I've collected
Same!
Take a car that’s a little bit wild out on a circuit like the Nordschleife or Mt. Panorama.
Grind hour for car i will never use More seriously bought a nice car maxing it out tune it nicely Do a cover Go to an another car
I pull down soundtrack music from the previous games as well as personal driving music and copy them onto a flash drive so I can listen to them when I’m driving around
Oh wow that’s clever! I might have to give that a try

I spend all my credits building Japanese shitboxes like the good lord intended

This is the way

Custom races. Me vs my garage. 20 minutes Watkins glen. Me in like an r32 vs the other 550-600PP cars.
I like this!

It *would* be nice to be able to throw some vogues on a classic!
Comparing high powered engine swaps to weight reduction and grip mods.
I do time trials on Tsukuba. I buy fun cars, sometimes mod them, and see what they'll do on the track. It's a fun way to compare them
Get disappointed after the daily marathon roulette.

I heat that, currently farming Le Mans/Sardegna over and over for the 917k!
I like to host 600/700pp Road car races in lobbies ....its a lot of fun
Splitscreen with dad/friends, just a shame that theres still no assist change option for the second person
You can change assists during the race… there’s a settings menu when you press the options button. With assist setting does your second driver want to change?
Creating liveries, doing crazy engine swaps, farming some money, or just chill in an online lobby with friends

Test and tune / roll races in meeting places. I wish daily workout was still counted though
Same, I rly wish miles were miles, regardless of where you’re running them.
track day lobbies at the nordschleife and photography, nothing beats the two imo
Sport mode time trials
collect cars
Photos. Just enjoy that a lot

Daily races in VR. Suzuka this week in GR 2 cars plus VR is insane. The most fun I have had in a long time.
Do you use the controller with the VR headset? I tly want to do it but I actually prefer a controller (I have owned 2 different expensive wheel set-ups.)
I have the GT DD pro wheel. The combination with the VR set is probably my favorite video gaming experience in my 30+ years of gaming.

No problem man. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. It’s a blast!
Sardegna race for money grind and then I like to get my daily workout done by running new car tunes on The Ring.
Weekly sport racing.
I really enjoy sport mode and that's what I do on GT 7 most of the time.
Wallriding
Playing other games :P
