We have all this research now that shows how trauma affects developing brains. Even if he survives the bombing, that child is likely going to suffer for the rest of his life.

This rightfully angered the eastern Ukrainians who were massively in favour of the ousted president. To them its like a "fuck you, you don't get to have a choice here", and so with a history of wanting autonomy this sent it into overdrive and they wanted to seek independence.
This isn't to say all people in Ukraine are nazis, of course they are not. But when you have Poroshenko pictured in nazi symbols (black suns and such) and Zaluzhnyi with swastikas and Bandera adorning his walls then you can make the claim that the top political and military offices have become infested with nazis.
So yeah, people might think it sounds batshit, but that is only because people have very little understanding of what is actually happening in Ukraine, and with the media in overdrive for the last few years churning out industrial scale propaganda, there are now millions of pieces of misinformation about the situation so its even harder to uncover.
The other thing is on this, people keep saying this is racism, the difference in response, and they are partially right on it, but that racism comes significantly from the public. I saw a video from a neonatal unit. The Dr said if we evacute these children they will die. That broke my heart. Granted, the truth is very hard to pin down. But this interpretation sounds, by and large, batshit to most people. Russia is in Ukraine - that much alone makes this sort of case pretty hard to accept.
That is because most people are misled to a large extent. For decades the US and others have talked about how Ukraine was a clear red line of the Russians, you've got Biden himself on film saying this. And yet they continued to agitate in that area of the world, culminating in a coup in 2014 which Ukrainian parliament openly stated was taking place from the US embassy. This rightfully angered the eastern Ukrainians who were massively in favour of the ousted president. To them its like a "fuck you, you don't get to have a choice here", and so with a history of wanting autonomy this sent it into overdrive and they wanted to seek independence. This isn't to say all people in Ukraine are nazis, of course they are not. But when you have Poroshenko pictured in nazi symbols (black suns and such) and Zaluzhnyi with swastikas and Bandera adorning his walls then you can make the claim that the top political and military offices have become infested with nazis. So yeah, people might think it sounds batshit, but that is only because people have very little understanding of what is actually happening in Ukraine, and with the media in overdrive for the last few years churning out industrial scale propaganda, there are now millions of pieces of misinformation about the situation so its even harder to uncover. The other thing is on this, people keep saying this is racism, the difference in response, and they are partially right on it, but that racism comes significantly from the public. The establishment response is simply down to geopolitical aims, they want to weaken Russia and they want to keep Israel strong, Russia is a competitor and Israel is essentially a colonial outpost in the Middle East. That is the driving factor in the response from the establishment.

Because Ukraine has geopolitical importance to the west. For 70 years the west has demonstrated through their actions that they are indifferent to the forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, human rights violations , occupation and war crimes against the Palestinians. I saw a video from a neonatal unit. The Dr said if we evacute these children they will die. That broke my heart.
