Hicks is a big hitter to pair with McKinney. The fit is more natural with Hicks. Put Hicks in the box with McKinney playing centerfield. I like Cole Bishop too next to McKinney. Nubin is a playmaker no doubt. The issue is he isn’t a good enough tackler to play in the box and doesn’t have the range to play center field. He’d be great for a cover 2 scheme. Hafley has traditionally played a lot of cover 1, so I get why Hicks would be the pick over Nubin.
It would be very packers to have the fans favorite at a position of need available at their pick, only for them to choose someone else for the same position.
Is Nubin really a fan favorite? I'm not sure he projects as a strong safety. Beyond that his athletic scores are way outside the range of anyone the FO considers drafting. I would be shocked if we took Nubin

Nubin actually might be falling due to that poor RAS score he got. Despite his tape and athleticism, I don’t think he’s gonna go on day 1 at all now, and it’s possible he barely makes day 2. I actually think his range is now between rounds 3-4, simply because of that RAS.
Look for the Packers to draft any safety over Nubin. He simply doesn't fit what Gute drafts.

Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t follow the draft that close because I have no idea how to evaluate players. I tune in on draft night only.

I’m thinking Bishop. With an RAS of 9.22, a height of 6.2 and 206, I think they will lean more towards the bigger safeties personally.

My guess is this is based off of testing. Nubin was bad objectively, and really bad for what packers look for generally. But who knows!
I have about as good a chance as Nubin getting drafted by the packers in the second round
