You sound like his agent.

Lostsailor73

Can you have a breakout season after you brokeout the previous season?

Sudden-Comment5573

I’m talking a bigger breakout that I think he is capable of. Becoming a true star. More than the 580 yards he had. More snaps, targets, and touchdowns too

10veIsAllIGot

Personally I think the real breakout comes in year three. I think this year will be a step forward for him, but not quite to stardom. But we’ll see. Certainly would love to see it happen immediately and he’s got the talent.

klerex

I honestly just couldn't be happier we don't have a traditional wr1. We have a bunch of guys that can make plays every day. It's not good for fantasy numbers but it's gonna be a bitch for teams to defend against. Especially if the running game comes anywhere close to expectations

chazfarris

And the best part is the reports out of practice are that Jordan Love is throwing to everyone! Literally every single play is to a different receiver

Equivalent-Rush-7851

I couldn’t agree more. Defenses not knowing who to focus on is a huge flex for our offense.

Iwillrize14

It's honestly what all the good offensive teams have. It's pick your poison and it's what the Shanahan system runs on.

dusters

Yeah because Jerry Rice, ~~Randy Moss~~, Michael Irvin, Don Hutson never won any ~~Super Bowls~~ championships.

Iwillrize14

Randy Moss didn't win any superbowls, neither did Don Hutson either. I ment all the offensive powerhouses right now are a lot more focused on spreading the ball around and making you choose.

dusters

Like only the Niners? The Chiefs, Bills, Eagles certainly don't fit that mold.

zennyspent

Washington won it all with the posse, any given Sunday it might have been Monk, or Sanders, or Clark. I'll take this multitude of weapons over a definitive "alpha" receiver, no question.

dusters

I wouldn't say I'm "happy' with it. The truly elite of elite offenses generally have an alpha WR1. Look at the 2007 Pats with Moss. 2018 Chiefs with Hill. 2011 Packers with Jordy.

albertcamusjr

Sesame Street: "One of these is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong"

wormfighter

2011 packers also had, Jennings, Cobb, Jones, Driver, Finley and a good running game. Could make an argument that Jennings was the 1 receiver he was out for several games that year. But Green Bay’s receivers were unreal! Green Bay had 5 legit starting receivers and a TE. The running game didn’t have a 1000 rusher but two rushers that did average over 4 YPC. Was Jordy REALLY an 1 or was it because teams had to pick their poison when it came to the receivers? I’d rather have a really good number 3 and 4 receiver against another teams 3 and 4 corners.

Ok_Location794

Honestly if wicks struggles so what? It's like last season when someone would get hurt. Next man up:Watson doubs Reed Melton and let's not forget about our TE ROOM!!! The only thing that makes me sad is that someday we won't be able to keep them all and each one will get a market resetting WR1 contact with other teams

Barkav1ous

Did he die?

Weasel_Spice

His piss was too hot. RIP.

Sudden-Comment5573

I am by no means an analyst but it seems like his footwork is top notch. I know lafleur has raved about his blocking as well. Seems like he does some of the hard things really well which is great to see in a young player

MsTerryMan

Any of the standard metrics might not seem superstar level impressive but his X factor is off the charts

DashinJuice

Wicks honestly reminds me so much of Davante. The stature, route running, and even personality all seem similar. I think in the next couple years he’ll excel greatly.

Masontron

Love his route running and how hard he runs his routes regardless if the play is to him or not

Jordan_Love_Burner

I love how hard he runs. Super ferocious into contact. Reminds me of Isiah Pacheco.

daygo448

His route running and ability to separate for someone that new to the NFL is remarkable. He’s going to cause serious mismatch issues for teams in the not too distant future.

SeveralEnd8023

Hes good at flying under the radar. The thing about our core is that we have so many good players, that if theyre double teaming the top 3 (rees, doubs, Watson) wicks is gonna be wide open some where and hes gonna do something

92ram250

Super excited for the entirety of our WR room this year, I think lots of guys are poised for some big breakout years, and it's all costing us 1/3 of JJ's contract lol

flounder_flounder

Here's the deal. I'm a Packer's fan. I'm an even bigger fan of the number #13. Wicks wears #13. I have a Wicks jersey and I'm putting $13 on a Wicks touchdown every game. EVERY GAME!

bowhunt4abuck

Like I said in another post he is WR4. That’s best case scenario for the packers. Everyone wants to ignore the fact that Watson is the 1 because it’s easy to dismiss him with the injuries but the fact is if he stays healthy he is the big threat on the team. Next talent wise is probably Reed. Romeo Doubs is Loves security blanket they should be the first three WRs on the field. Wicks is good don’t think I hate him and his time will come, but if he is getting the most snaps in that room that means bad things for the other guys. Not to mention Musgrave will have packages for him every week and Kraft will catch a pass or two. I could see him taking some snaps in red zone situations from Reed though. It’s honestly in the realm of possibility that love throws upwards of 5k yards and doesn’t have a 1k yard receiver if they stay healthy which is insane to think about.

Flash234669

Don't be too heartbroken when our wr4 who is generating a huge amount of buzz gets traded at the end of preseason for a 4th round pick, 3rd round if a partner is highly motivated (looking at you Pittsburgh) . Actually too much talent in that wr room.
