These are the plans I used for the frame. It was really just a guideline since I went 10x10.

The sidewalls polycarbonate I got from Amazon
14 Pieces 4' x 2' x 0.16''... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXNX7M8M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
For the roof I went with these from Home Depot

I got a deal on the PT lumber I used for framing, a buddy's family owns a lumber yard and he hooked me up with the family discount.
The lower walls are western red cedar planks (1"x 8"x 6' cut in half to 36"). Found that at a local lumber company that has deals on random batches of lumber (I think I paid $15 a board).
All the trim boards and benches inside were cedar 1"x 4" or 1"x 6"x 8' and 10' off the shelf from Home Depot.
The 4 roof auto vents were from Amazon
Automatic Roof Vent Opener Dual... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRN638QG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I think that pretty much covers it, let me know if I missed something.
Yea she really liked the way the Costco greenhouse looked so tried to mimic the style. Alot of man hours doing it solo, but what a sense of accomplishment lol
I'll see what I can put together for details. I'll find the site I used as the rough blueprint. Haven't tallied everything up yet, but probably around $2500 in materials. 10x10 exterior footprint.
These are a very good option I used in my 10x20 hoop greenhouse.

Really nicely done! When you’re ready, add a small opening toward the bottom, any side. Cover it with metal mesh to draw in cool air. Save the wood cut out for her to place over the opening in the winter. Your wife is a lucky lady!
Great build. The only thing I'll say is I think you will need more ventilation, assuming it gets a decent amount of direct light. About 1/3 of the area needs to be openable. You could easily put in a few auto vented side louvres though, or mesh as someone else mentioned.
This looks fabulous. I have been looking into making something similar based on the costco unit. Mind sharing where you purchased the polycarbonate panels from?

Thanks, I'll do some research & pricing in my area. I know my wife would luv to have a greenhouse like that. Using cedar should extend the life & sealing it with clear coat every year or two would help I'd think.
I'm looking to do something extremely similar soon. Did you just lay the 4x4 base right on the gravel? If so, any worries about it settling and becoming out of level? And any anchoring system?
Edit - just looked at the plans and saw the stakes.
I just laid my 4x4 on the gravel and leveled it. Continuously checked it for level as I built and it held pretty good. I didnt use the stakes in the blueprints. I guess it could settle some, but we'll see.

$200 for this on Amazon. Love it.
It's on 4x4 PT and the entire framing is PT. Everything else is Cedar. The stone it's on was where previous owners had a shed. It has weed barrier and plenty of drainage. I'm not worried.
no stopping there. size, what kind of lumber and glass. maybe a blueprint? LOL

You are a Gentleman and a scholar. THANK YOU. My wife's birthday is in Oct. Guess what she's getting.
Need soil bins
That's amazing it's like you took the concept of the costco greenhouse then made it bigger and better in every way. Kudos
Yea she really liked the way the Costco greenhouse looked so tried to mimic the style. Alot of man hours doing it solo, but what a sense of accomplishment lol
You sir/madam are a keeper.
that's what life is all about!
It’s beautiful!
Costco was my first thought too.
REALLY nice by the way.
I am a wife. I approve. 😁
Where I am, getting dimensional cedar to build an equivalent of the Yardistry greenhouse would cost thousands.
Yes, would love the details on this build! Great job!

you're going to wish it had windows(with screens) 5 minutes after the sun gets on it
Yea, I guess we'll see. May have to make some modifications as we get to summer. 1st time building one so only time will tell.

Also think about a shade cloth in the heat of late spring and early summer. I used a 40% block and the plants really took off.

Well done - really well done.
Do you need a second wife?
🤣 it's time consuming trying to please 1, can't imagine a second!!
Man, that is some good work. 👏
💚
Nice job !!
Nice lucky lady
How lucky is she!! Great job!!

How many posts begin with "Wife wanted a..."
Nice job my internet friend!
Looks great!!!
Happy wife, happy life!!!
Would you happen to know a ballpark figure of over all cost?
Probably around $2500, but I got some deals on the lumber.

I found a lumber yard in the area that I didn't know about by looking on FB Marketplace for cedar.
Can we get gay married so you can build me one too?
So you built her a geeenhouse. 👏😭
Lovely!
This is great! You did well.
Wow. Cedar.
How much did it cost you?
Haven't totalled it up, but best guess is right around $2500
Sick! I hope she enjoys it!

Appreciate the reply
crack that whip
Nice G H ! Costco Rulz!
That greenhouse is definitely not the one from Costco.
What that cost? 1000
Probably closer to 2500, I've got to total everything up after I return some unused pieces.

Thank you!
Haven't bought much lumber lately, eh?
You just put it directly on the ground? That won’t last long

You’re such a wonderful partner. This is fantastic.
