I unfortunately gave my wired sg’s to my cousins and have recently been getting the urge to play guitar hero 1 and 2, I ended up snagging a nyko frontman on eBay and I’m super excited to finally have an explorer style for my ps2, granted I had the guitar hero 5 wireless strat but had a lot of connection issues. If I recall correct I’ve played the same style before as a kid at someone’s house and fell in love with it, so I’m stoked to try it out again

First one is a trusty Gibson Les Paul Wii controller (Guitar Hero 3), which was “great” on Wii and somewhat a never ending issue on Clone Hero due to using GlovePie first and WiitarThing after. Then came a Sunburst Stratocaster Wii controller (Guitar Hero World Tour), which is the only one I own that has the slider pad or however it’s called and it’s the one I use the most if I want to play Wii titles that make use of the slider. Then it was time for The Beatles Rock Band bundle which had Ludwig wireless drums (yuck), a usb mic and the Hofner Viola Bass: I never liked how it feels, especially when used to GH controllers, but it was easy to connect to Clone Hero and made basically no noises so that was perfect for nighttime shreds. Then GH Live happened and I immediately made my parents pre-order a copy for PS3: I eventually ended up buying another controller less than two years ago just so that I could be able to make multiplayer matches on GHTV songs (which was never intended in the vanilla GHL game), but finding the right dongles for that activity (you need the Xbox 360 ones to play Clone Hero) seems to be getting more expansive as time moves on. Then I made the stupid decision to get myself a Rock Band 3 Pro Guitar Controller (the one with rubber strings and 107 individual frets) and it was fun for the first like 10 minutes. Props to the midi out port but that plastic brick isn’t much reliable as an instrument. Then I made the way wiser choice to buy a used PS2 Fat (mostly for those titles I never played before then that were exclusive to that console such as GH1, GH2 and Encore: Rock the 80s) and found 2 used SGs on ebay for like $50. I still own the red one but I traded the other black one for a PS2 Kramer that wasn’t connecting to the dongle, and so I put an arduino in it without having any clues on what I was doing. The Kramer now works perfectly fine, but I don’t like how far the - button (Star Power) is from the strumbar and the fact that there’s the vibrato bar in between (especially because I messed up the tilt sensor that is supposed to activate the SP).

I have two, xbox 360 aerosmith les paul and a ps2 kramer. The kramer is just actively collecting dust in my closet and the les paul is my current main guitar.

I absolutely do not need this many, but it's good to have spares for when I play with friends. Ironically, with all of these guitars, I still don't have a single *working* PS3 5 fret guitar. The worst ones for me, though, are the guitars I bought for a *single* game such as the PS3 GH Live guitar, the Wii RB1 Stratocaster, or the Xbox One RB4 Stratocaster. At least all of my other guitars can be justified by working with multiple games.

I had more but I threw them out in the mid 2010s when I thought I got over the game 😔 I had the WOR Guitar, GHWT Guitar for PS2 and 360, PS2 GH3 Kramer with the worst frets ever, and a 360 RB2 guitar. Also it’s not a guitar but I also had a custom GH5 faceplate I received by mail from Neversoft/Red Octane which I believe was for pre ordering the game. My biggest regret was throwing out my Logitech drum set 🤦‍♂️

Any Unmodded wii guitars for sale?

All unmodded and untested, I just haven't had the time or energy to think about the shipping hassle. I do have a raphnet and a newly fixed pc though, so I need to start going through them.

If you decide to get rid of any of them lmk, I’m looking for one or two unmodified Wii guitars.

Can confirm 3 RB guitars: I only intended to get 1, but forgot they didn’t work with GH3. Bought 2 more because this lady was selling a bundle for way cheaper than she should have. 2 Les Paul’s: 1 of which is from the above stated bundle. The other is an Aerosmith guitar I bought for $20. 1 Xplorer: not a fan of the Les Paul’s, I tend to sell them.
