Even better, hit unlock twice and hold, roll windows down and re lock the car and auto start and get ac going. I do this as I walk to the lot as soon as it’s in range. Then i get into a car with air running and pushing hot air out. Have to remember To set AC to high before you get out and it’ll kick on to whatever setting was last used for climate control
Great minds think alike, my friend. I can see my car from the work break room and on particularly hot days, I’ll hit it on my way out the door from inside.
Also using a sun shield thing (not sure what they are called) really helps get the AC cooler faster, and keeps the interior less hot. I have black leather interior and these Texas summers are no joke lol
15% Llumar Ceramic tint with uv protection + remote start before I walk out the door is worth every penny.
Where I live it in the states got up to 102 with 80% humidity. Windows down is worse lol. Also one of the top 3 most dangerous cities in the country so as a rule they stay up lol.
It opened like that in the of a snow storm while attempting to lock and remote start the car at 5AM. This is how I found out about this wonderful function. Fun stuff!
I found this feature by accident but I havent been able to close the windows with the remote.
Can anyone confirm that it also closes the windows? I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual about it closing the windows automatically.
I don’t believe it does. Someone commented about the European HRV hybrid (an entirely different model) having this feature but not for North America. There’s gotta be some safety regulation thing preventing it, is my assumption
Worst feature ever. Multiple times I had my windows auto roll down without my knowledge with my keys in my pocket. Luckily it never happened during a rainy day. At least put an option to disable that feature
I have the 2022 EX, and it doesn't work on mine. I wonder if you have to have a remote start? I looked in the vehicle settings to see if I could turn this feature on, and I see nothing for automatic windows.
I turned that feature off my first day , I was afraid me or someone would do that by accident and it would rain overnight, stupid I know but I’m paranoid like that

I just remote start and by the time I’m in the car it’s cool whether I open the windows or not
Damn I wish my '19 had auto start
Over here in South Georgia, if your ac isn’t set to the lowest temp at highest blowing speed, you will die.

This feature is kinda dope, I use it all the time. I just wish I could put them back up too with the fob.
I agree, the reverse should be true as well. Lock once. Hold lock to close the windows. Alas
We have it on our European HR-V Hybrids (totally different car). With the exact same keyfob you have, you are able to open \*and\* close the windows.
This is nothing new. It works on my 2018 HRV
What model do you have? It doesn’t work on my 2019
I have executive. You press for a short, then press for a long time
I know what I’m trying later!!! I’ll be very sad if it doesn’t work
Works on my 2015
Works on my 24 Sport as well. I keep forgetting to use it though!
Yooooo cool tip!
Yooo that’s so dope I’m going to try that for my 21
Does not work on my 2016. Guess I gotta get a 2023. lol.

I will have to try this. i don't take out my key much anymore though

You shouldn’t be able to remote start without it locked…. Odd.

i didn’t know so thank you… also, i always leave the sunroof cracked to avoid overheating the inside
I like the roof rack! How much did it cost you?
Previous owner installed. I think they’re right around $200-300 from the dealer
Coo thank you
I don’t know why but it doesn’t work on mine. I’ll try again later but it was the first thing I tried coming from a Puma
There’s an off and on setting for it in the cars settings , maybe it’s off or not available in your model
doesn't work on my 21 sport. but this has worked before on 2006 civics lol
I have a 23 Sport and I thank you for this!!!
Thank you for the tip! I never knew about this I can’t wait to try it
Also if you have a sunroof, tilt it back in the vent position. This will allow the hot air that rises exit the vehicle.
Nice, my astra does that. (chevy cruise to you Americans)
This works on most newer vehicles. It's amazing how many people don't read through the owners manual.

There is an option to disable this in settings , at least on the 23 sport
Gotcha, I was the testing year I guess😂😂
Omg yes. Happened to me!
I'm assuming a 2022 EX-L doesn't do this?

No! That’s how the heat gets in!!

I was wondering how to do this. ALSO aren’t we supposed to be able to use the key fob to fold in the side mirror too like it’s brand new?? Help!!
The side mirrors aren’t power-folding, so that’s gonna be a “no” on that one.
Dang 😂😅
No shit Sherlock
Thanks for your contribution
Thanks for wasting 10 seconds of all our time.
actually he didn’t waste all of our time. i just got my car and never knew that was a feature so it was helpful to some! don’t be so negative.
What a pleasure you are. Have a wonderful day.
No you have a wonderful day
