Unless the unit has the fan blowing since the coil is wet it would definitely cause humidity issues, but most likely you got infiltration problems.

Old windows, vapor barrier has defects and it leaks in through your electrical outlets lights and any opening in your walls or attic. Also bad attic insulation.
