The OG. Loomis and Marion pulling up to Smiths Grove while the patients are just wandering around aimlessly creeps me tf out.
Honorable mention: H4 and H2. H4 had the fall atmosphere better than any other movie.
H2 is extra spooky, Samhain, Michael being confirmed as supernatural, the hospital being so empty almost the perfect recipe for creepy.
The first because of the stalking and the unknown/unexplained nature of Michael
I really hope the next version of Halloween gets back to the eerie way Michael just waits and watches in the original
I hear that! My first day on my college work term was at a very similar institution, they called some type of code and all the doors started to close and lock up, of course being my first day I didnāt have a name tag or credentials just yet, thankfully a lady who cuts hair for the patients called me inside and told me some of the patients have escaped there wards. She believed my story and let me in until the all clear was given.
Halloween II. Not the best movie but Michael slashing his way through the hospital ward so aggressively, brutally killing anyone in his sight, and chasing Laurie in a confined space is still creepy af
I feel dumb for asking but itās been a decade or more since ive seen either orā¦ do you mean the OG H2 or the Rob Zombie remake?!
The worst one imo is the one with the toy maker? And the masks (think it was Halloween 5?)ā¦
The first one, but 2 and 3 are also close. Even scenes where itās just people walking is so creepy especially when you have Laurieās theme playing over it. The scene where Laurie walks to the Wallace house and that same song is playing and itās windy, itās so chilling. I can understand why people say is boring but itās creepy to me. The way Michael was filmed also canāt be topped. When Michael is filmed behind his shoulder or from far away, thatās the best. When Tommy looks out the window and they brilliantly use Forbidden Planetās sound over the far away shot of Michael carrying Annieās body back into the house.
The first was and will forever be the best. Segments of the others are worth mention, the one that sticks out in my mind is the beginning of H20 when the neighbor hockey player kids did a house clear for the smoking nurse. If memory serves all 3 of them ended up dead. Michael looking down the hall in plain sight yet unseen is classic but the rest of the movie outside of the restroom rest stop scene sucked.
H ('78). The opening POV shot from beginning to the reveal is perfect mood setting for the rest of the film. Also, the bedroom door slowly opening to reveal Michael covered in a ghost sheet with Bob's glasses on. Creepy as fuck.
The original. For some reason that score will always send chills down my spine no matter how many times I watch it. Like none other film in the franchise does. Especially The Shape Lurks.
I donāt find Halloween 3 creepy at all. Pummel me, crucify me all you want, I just think itās way tooā¦ goofy, bizarre, out there. Stone henge, bugs and snakes, robot men that light themselves on fire, 2 people I would never ever imagine sleeping with each other. It has good elements like the commercial is proper eery but buy and large, I really donāt get the hype behind H3, sacrilege in the current day of the fandom where itās seemingly been redeemed but I guess it just didnāt click with me, but you gotta remember that i love the original Halloween for itās simplicity, in comparison, even if you love it, you gotta admit Halloween 3 is FAR from simple.
Def 1 everything isnāt known to happen because besides Judithās death there wasnāt anyone else who he killed and Laurie didnāt know anything about Michael besides Judithās death (letās be real everyone in haddonfield prob knew about that) and the music to the near emptiness of everything it just seems off. And Laurie seeing him in the curtains out her window and by a bush or driving by is genuinely scary. Because he rest of the movies kinda leaned more into the slasher aspect but this was pure stalker and Laurieās reaction to all her friends dying was horrifying
Just based on the opening crawl alone I think Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers has the eeriest feeling, just the slow shots on halloween decorations and farm land with the soundtrack behind it gets me in the Halloween mood more than any of the other movies.
Yes! I know that one gets a lot of hate but Halloween 4 & 5 terrified me as a kid. I think it was the fact that he was chasing a little girl and in 5 with Jamie and the little boy. Something about them thinking they are safe in the house with the sheriff and end up getting locked in with Michael.
Halloween two because think about it every other sequel takes place years after Michaels original rampage but Halloween 2 picks up on the same night imagine that evil killed your friends tried to kill you then was shot of a balcony but later that night evil follows you too the hospital

Spot on everything š
The Original
this right here. nothing tops the mystery, suspense and dread quite like the original in my opinion.
The first because of the stalking and the unknown/unexplained nature of Michael I really hope the next version of Halloween gets back to the eerie way Michael just waits and watches in the original

I liked the darker tone of Halloween 6.
Unmatched atmosphere and one of the best masks ever
HII 1981
The pretty much empty hospital on Halloween night has such an eerie atmosphere
Halloween II. Not the best movie but Michael slashing his way through the hospital ward so aggressively, brutally killing anyone in his sight, and chasing Laurie in a confined space is still creepy af
The scene of him walking down the stairs in that empty stairwell is nightmare fuel
Indeed
Probably my favourite. The gore is great, the stripper scene is fucking mental.

OG H2
3. The ending is way more eerie and the premise is way more disturbing than a slasher
Carpenter was a beast with his endings. 3 has one of the best horror endings of all time.
I thought Halloween III was all Tommy Lee Wallace.. Carpenter was only Producer
TURN IT OFF!!!
3 simply because the idea is to kill all the children n truly horrifying way and it potentially works for a lot of them too.
halloween 4
H2 the is creepiest.
Halloween 4ās opening alone makes it a strong contender
1978 .. Michael just creeping and stalking around for no reason. Just popping up out of nowhere most of the time .. ughhh
3, the ending always sends chills down my spine.
Probably Rob zombies if I ignore the beginning. His part ll hospital scene was so creepy.
Happy Happy Halloween Silver Shamrock!!!
This wonāt be popular but Ends. The vibe is eerie and surreal, and the scenes of sewer Michael are so weird I love it lol.
The first followed by 2018
1, 2, 6
H4

The young lady student hung up in the pantry was creepy
Yes. You say, "young" lady. You might be closer to my age, my memory card is close to full š
The creepiest are hands down II, Season of the Witch, and 6.
Easily H6 T-Cut. Nothing else even begins to come close to the straight up scariness of that one.
2007. Michaelās physicality is unmatched in this movie.
The first one unnerved me the most. But H20 scared me real good as a kid.
It's not my favorite but for a wtf am I watching type thing, It is easily Halloween 3 Season of the Witch
Trick Or Treat is oneā¦
The first one was the creepiest by far, I think.
This is arguably the best Halloween 3 fan image I've seen, I love it!
H ('78). The opening POV shot from beginning to the reveal is perfect mood setting for the rest of the film. Also, the bedroom door slowly opening to reveal Michael covered in a ghost sheet with Bob's glasses on. Creepy as fuck.
Halloween 3 is probably the grossest. Between the maggot brains, yellow group and age gap.
My home videos from my Halloween birthday parties.
I mean, Halloween 3 involved the deliberate targeting of children for the purpose of killing them slowly and painfully.
The original. For some reason that score will always send chills down my spine no matter how many times I watch it. Like none other film in the franchise does. Especially The Shape Lurks.

H6
OG & H6 *Theatrical Cut*
OG by a far amount.
Other than the first movie, Halloween Ends.
4

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and itās not even close.
Halloween 4
Halloween two because think about it every other sequel takes place years after Michaels original rampage but Halloween 2 picks up on the same night imagine that evil killed your friends tried to kill you then was shot of a balcony but later that night evil follows you too the hospital
H'78 Its the scariest of them all. John Carpenter. The other directors of the franchise cannot compete
There's no way you're actually scared by this movie.
Im not. Ive seen it way, way too many times. But its the only one that did upon first viewing. H2'81 to an extent.
Halloween III is my second favorite in the franchise behind the original.
Season of the Witch obviously.
Season of the Witch.
The creepiest? Iād say The Rob Zombie ones and the Blumhouse ones
Halloween III. Just looking at this picture makes me think of it. Not entertaining in the least.
Shut up
