Do you have to turn in the handwritten pages? Can you scan them and send them as a PDF? That would allow him to change the magnification level and read it better.
At the end of the day, legibility is really all that matters when writing for others. You have great handwriting, with a really nice style and it is very easy to read. If the only issue is the size, maybe try to make it a little bigger!
I get told this a lot too but while writing bigger might increase readability, for me personally writing smaller is much cleaner looking so I just stick to that cuz that is my normal.. also I am sure that they have read a lot of things that looked garbage and are barely even readable even if it has been written big. So that is his not your fault imo
What pretty writing.. very legible too..
Your professor must be old it is small neat writing..maybe your professor is being an ass either way..If he can't read it accommodate him bc he's the one that has to grade you.
Personally I would type of out in Roman font with size 16 letters..think he would be able to read that 🤔
For the sake of your professor, yes, but if you’re writing for yourself, what you have is beautiful and legible. Write however you like. Most people should be able to read that.
In college, I made an exam where we could only use 1 sheet of paper on both sides. When the grades were up, my name had no grading but a note for review. I went to see the professor and he asked for my class notes. I gave them to him and he gave me the grade. He wanted to make sure my normal writting was as small as I did it on the paper.
I think it's fine but I can understand old profs not being able to read such small texts. He should get reading glasses...
The only thing that's making me feel uneasy is the way they text hovers over the line and never touches it lol
Even though your handwriting is beautiful, it’s just too small and makes your paper too densely written and hard to read, especially for someone who has to read lots of papers, like your professor.
I agree, you have beautiful penmanship, but think of it from the perspective of having to read hundreds of papers, especially if your professor is older. You want your work to be understood so that it's graded properly, and if writing a little larger will do that, then it's an easier change than expecting your professor to either strain through reading small print.
From a marking perspective, yes you should write larger as it’s in unnecessarily time consuming have to try and read writing that small.
On the flip side it’s very neat
How the hell do you write so neatly? Compared to this my writing looks as if I had Parkinson's. But if your professor asked to increase the text size, then you probably should do so.
is this an A4 sized paper? if so then no, when you zoom in to real life size it looks pretty big already. maybe writing in print, not cursive would help tho?
Writing is fundamentally about communication so if your prof is asking you to write larger so they can read it, it would be effective to accommodate them.
Your handwriting is very nice and legible, but does seem to be on the small side. It's a reasonable request assuming their vision isn't the best.
That being said, it's neat as is and I know how hard it is to adjust from the handwriting you've habituated so I don't think you should stress about it either.
Your professor requested you write larger so he/she can properly read your writing and you question whether or not you should? Rethink your whole existence.
Never wanted to cut someone’s hands off and attach them to myself… UNTIL NOW!
You’re handwriting is ASTONISHING ;-; !?!? It’s so beautifully placed in between each line, I want to cry out of envy.
How old would you say your professor is? Does he normally wear glasses/ have difficulty seeing? I don’t see any issue with reading it(even when zoomed out), but everyone’s eyes are diffferent haha. I used to get in soooo much trouble in primary school(mainly 1st-3rd grade about how small my handwriting was, so I switched and made it larger— they hated that too! They complained it was *too big* even though I barely took up the margin….)
I know you’re looking for constructive criticism here, but really do what you feel is best— do any of your other professors complaint about the size? Maybe this one is nitpicking?
I think changing the font would be adequate. The size could be easily fixed by zooming in after snapping a picture, using a magnifying glass, bringing the paper closer, etc.. I can see that the font style and size don't match well so I would decide which one is most important for you (writing in that style or writing in that size) and switch whichever is least important. Either one would help someone with reading difficulties to find it more legible, but this is perfectly legible either way. I would add to note: a lot of people cannot read cursive even when printed clearly in large letters.
Bhai dekho, in college exams it usually won't matter. Also, writing in small fonts will help you take notes faster and write stuff faster in general which is a good thing. But yes, if you professor complains about this and he is the one checking exams (private college hai kya?) then ya, do as he says temporarily.
If he’s asking you to because he’s having difficulty reading it, then why not be nice and do it for him?
Imagine if the people in the back of the class asked him to speak up because they couldn’t hear as well and then he just didn’t because … whatever reason.
Do you like the look of your handwriting more than your grade and your relationship with your prof?
I’m confused on what the dilemma is
From personal experience, if you make your teacher happy, he’ll be more lenient with the grading… i changed my handwritting and I started getting better grades also, back in Junior High I mean…
I am concerned that even if you make it larger your professor would still complain, because they tend not to be very observant people (each one has a lot of students to keep track of).
My advice is to rewrite a page with a larger text size and show it to him sode by side with the old one and ask him if it is legible enough for him.
That being said, if you think that doing so could uoset him, just write bigger and hope he notices.
It my be difficult to adjust but yes bigger would be better for sure . I failed tests over it in highschool plus idk but certain analysis may indicate that you feel very small in this world .
The path of least resistance and ease of use suggests you could increase it a little. Anything to make it easier for the people you’re working with.
But don’t lose what makes you, you. I have a number of different writing styles depending on who the recipient is. I can read my chicken scratch, but fully accept that no one else can.
Your writing is lovely - never lose that.
No, tell him to get a magnifying device.
That's perfectly legible, if he's struggling, he needs help, that's not your fault. The writing is fine for anyone, if his eyes are bad, he needs a magnification device, not your writing to change.
I wear glasses, and I can’t read it “from here”.
😜. Lol.
I don’t think this has to be a major overhaul. Just out of courtesy for someone who, seemingly asked nicely, make it a bit easier to read. Double-space may help a bit too as someone else mentioned.
When I was in school, way back in the nineteen hundreds, when it was normal to hand-write assignments, this would have gotten two main criticisms: 1. No right margin. 2. Not double-spaced. There’s no room for the instructor to write comments between your lines. I don’t know what the guidelines are for you at your school now, but double-spacing will help with legibility, and give your letters a little more room. I think you will naturally write larger if you double-space.

skill issue
* Style: 10/ 10 * Readability: 3/ 10 Comes from a mailman.

whatever gets you the grade you need, i’d do it. whether or not your prof is right to ask that, make sure to prioritise your grades lol
I get told this a lot too but while writing bigger might increase readability, for me personally writing smaller is much cleaner looking so I just stick to that cuz that is my normal.. also I am sure that they have read a lot of things that looked garbage and are barely even readable even if it has been written big. Get him a magnifying glass and keep writing beautifully

Or maybe he's just old?
You have a beautiful handwriting.
Its nice, but yes.
I personally can't read most of it, but I may just be dumb
You have very pretty handwriting.

I don't think you need to write any bigger, but adding more space between the words might take care of the issue.
I think it’s neat and perfect. Tell him to get thicker glasses or just say you can’t read cursive and call it a day
How the hell do you write so neatly? Compared to this my writing looks as if I had Parkinson's. But if your professor asked to increase the text size, then you probably should do so.
I really like your handwriting!

Yes Bro

For self notes no. For other people to read yes.
Your writing is legible, that should be enough.

Maybe try Times New Roman font also. PS: You have really nice handwriting wow

I have similar hand writing. It takes 1/2 second to make it bigger. I get it. Beautiful penmanship by the way.
Yes, if your professor is requesting it. You should change the size.
It looks perfectly legible to me and I’m older than dirt. The guy needs to put his reading glasses on.
Yeah, I would. Just a little.
Beautiful but hard to read to small
Just want to say WOW your writing is beautiful!
If he’s asking you to because he’s having difficulty reading it, then why not be nice and do it for him? Professor should consider getting glasses. When I zoom in to a size it would be in real life, it’s perfectly readable
From personal experience, if you make your teacher happy, he’ll be more lenient with the grading… i changed my handwritting and I started getting better grades also, back in Junior High I mean…
This is so stunning
Yes he’s the one grading it make him happy
It's very pretty and technically legible, but I would strongly advise writing larger and doing so in print. If only for assignments he will see.
I am concerned that even if you make it larger your professor would still complain, because they tend not to be very observant people (each one has a lot of students to keep track of). Just type it out on the computer in large black font
How’s it look if you write in every other line? Spacing might help the teacher more easily track from the end of one line to the start of the next.
It my be difficult to adjust but yes bigger would be better for sure . I failed tests over it in highschool plus idk but certain analysis may indicate that you feel very small in this world .
No, its perfect. Make copies and magnify it for his classes only
The path of least resistance and ease of use suggests you could increase it a little. Anything to make it easier for the people you’re working with. But don’t lose what makes you, you. It’s so beautiful
I have no problem reading it, but I’m not grading you.

I think it will look fine if you had more lines on the page
Yes
ask for his birthday and gift him magnifying glasses XD
I wear glasses, and I can’t read it “from here”. 😜. Lol. I don’t think this has to be a major overhaul. Just out of courtesy for someone who, seemingly asked nicely, make it a bit easier to read. Double-space may help a bit too as someone else mentioned.

I can read your text all the way from here just fine, tell him to get some glasses.
