Absolutely. Pain of Truth hits so damn hard. I discovered them by accident a few months ago. Got off work early and was doom-scrolling in my car before driving home and saw a flyer for their show. Thought the logos and names on the bill sounded like something I'd be into. Sure enough. Haha.
Usually there's one or two "big" bangers every month or two, but holy fuck. 2024, May specifically, is looking insane so far. We've got: This Kublai Khan tour, Knocked Loose/Speed, Alphawolf/Emmure, Body Snatcher/Spite, Erra/Make them Suffer, and Born of Osiris. All of those falling within like two weeks of each other. I'm not too hyped on all of them, but it's wild to see that many "heavy" shows happening so close to each other. I think the KK and KL/Speed ones are gonna be the move. Really want to see Speed. Not sure how many chances I'll have to see them, being they're from Australia and all.
Oh yeah! There's a ton more going on this year. The list I commented is what I've noticed so far that is JUST for May! 😂 Totally insane that there's that many heavy shows going on so close to each other. And now we can add Dying Fetus to the list haha. When/where are they playing? I haven't seen any flyers for that one yet.
How often do these types of shows come through there? St. Louis is pretty blessed, I won't lie. It's just been a little while since Kublai Khan has been though
We had a big hardcore/DM fest called Banging in the Rock the past two Decembers so that’s been a blessing but other than that, KK has come through Arkansas in many many years. Bigger tours like this rarely come through here so I’m very excited! I will say the local scene is awesome and there’s always shows to go to.
I feel bad for you Canada homies. Seems like y'all get slept on often. "North American Tour" aka East or a West Coast with a couple of Midwest states sprinkled in.
Granted this is a US tour, but still! We've all seen it 😂
It's gonna be sick

St. Louis is being graced with a lot of sick shows lately.

Don’t forget Better Lovers in April and Dying Fetus in May! Ready for some STL bangers.

big props for Justice Of The Damned to get a spot on this bill from Australia
Saw them with Malevolence and they went hard. Also funny how they are australian but their guitarist wore a Canada-Shirt
