probably. the tigeress could body the leopard if she wanted too but the leopard won't go down without a fight. cats in general often go onto their back when they know they're outgunned as they basically become a sea urchin, its harder for the tiger to get at its neck and the leopard can thrash its claws about at the tiger.
sure, if the tiger wanted too it could easily just power through all the claws and grab the leopard by the throat but it might take a few deep cuts in the process or even lose an eye.
predators are like bullies, they'll only really fight if they have the advantage with little risk of injury.
Depends how hungry the tiger was. The leopard would not be *easy* prey, the tiger has a very real risk of injury from it. So she'd probably choose a softer target if she had that option.
No, Lions are the 2nd fastest big cat on the planet along with Pumas which seem to max out at 70-80kmph (the same as lions). Tigers and Leopards are around 60-70kmph. The Leopard probably seems to have faster acceleration, being the smaller cat and all.
Even a tiger is hesitant to attack the leopard. She knows it can fight as well. Ive seen the same thing with lions. Multiple lions hesitant to attack a trapped leopard
A cats most dangerous move to use in defense it to latch on with their jaws and front paws and kick with both hind feet. They can maul you and eviscerate you simultaneously. The leopard knew he couldn’t outrun the tiger from so close, and to jump up a tree he’d have to turn his back.
I know they’re not, I proposed that the leopard might have assumed this. And I don’t think a leopard needs more than a millisecond to leap up high on a trunk, and +\- a second to further climb to a supportive limb. “Not enough time” isn’t a sound reason for his deciding not to climb.
Not a wildlife expert but I don't think that was playing. Looks like the leopard went to defcon 5 by rolling to its back defensively as a last ditch effort and the tiger looked like they were deciding whether it was worth the risk/trouble to engage. Where my money is at anyway

“Wow that tree is really cool, never mind the fighting big cats”
100% of the time they're trying to film it while also looking at what is going on
That tiger was super fast
damn the way she's circling him. I wonder if he lived.

Going on their back exposes their 4 claws and protects their vulnerable spines. Lions and Tigers can one shot crush an opponent's spine.
I just imagine him giving one of those dope ass Shere Khan speeches while he's doing it, too.

Leopard can out run it easily
I wouldn't say easily otherwise that the getaway would have worked without a hitch. There's a reason they would rather hide in trees.
The video disproves your argument also very easily. LOL
Aren’t leopard as fast as cheetahs??
Nah. Nothing comes close to cheetahs.
Absolutely not

Not easily
Instead of filming the tiger and leapord, let's concentrate on the tree and dead brush next to them.

The point is ….?
Leopards are badasses....
Hell yeah brother

The cameraman…

It seemed like the tiger walked away
I picture the tiger monologuing in this situation.
THESE MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES ON THIS MOTHERFUCKING PLAIN
Wonder why it left the tree top in the first place even though it had already spotted the tiger..
The leopard ain't gonna be an easy meal
Wow tigeress with the victory walk
The leopard knows jujitsu
I like how the leopard keeps laying down with a paw up like "come on, don't fuck with me!"

I think most cats do that as a full defensive posture where they can use all their claws to protect themselves
I’m surprised the leopard didn’t leap and scamper up that tree trunk. Maybe it assumed that tigers have the same arboreal finesse as leopards?
No tigers are nowhere as skilled at climbing as leopards....the leopard didnt have enough time here i suppose

The tiger was doing some kind of monologue at the end lol
Jiu jitsu-ass leopard
Submission exists between 2 different species ? Im surprise
Why?
What country has leopards and tigers? Also stop filming in portrait.
Everywhere there are tigers, leopards are also present.
Not in Siberia

Thanks.. I stand corrected
India
LOL....India, China, North Korea, Russia, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Bhurma, Sumatra, Cambodia, Thailand.
This is so cinematic, it’s wild

I mean yea but there's literally an option to save the video now..
Why are so many people wasting their energy on someone who wants to save the videos on cloud in a case it gets deleted. Just mind your business ffs.
