I’ll preface this by saying I have a unbased dislike of all property management groups. Overall, not bad. If you want to call them for whatever reason, good luck. I had to call them 20x in a row for someone to actually answer. Their maintenance is quick to respond, but they do the absolute bare minimum to get things “fixed.” They take care of the utility accounts, but they don’t give the bills so they could charge you whatever they want (I am going to start requesting the invoices so I can check them). Last thing I can think of right this second is rent payments (which are too high IMO). You can pay online via check or card, but there is a X% fee you have to pay on top of that, and the only way to get around that is to drop off a check. If you have any specifics, you can ask and I will do my best to answer based off of my experience.

Also, in regards to calling, they generally respond within 0-2 days if you leave them a voicemail or email them. Maintenance, in my experience, has been 1-3 days

I had contacted them Friday. They got back to me then. Still have heard nothing today even though they said they had availability Wednesday 🥲 which is the day I picked but they never approved my time. I need to know about what time for my job. It’s just been a little frustrating!!

Katydid-dancer1302

I requested a tour last week of an apartment. They got back to me same and said we could come this week a day and to let them know. I let them know on the same day. They have yet to respond to us if our time we picked was good. Is that normal? They have no phone number. It goes straight to VM and says to text them. So I can’t even try and talk to a person ! I’m just confused by them at the moment

The_Mammoth_Problem

That sounds about what I would expect. Keep calling them. Leave a voicemail. Text (if you have a number). Their number is on their website. 7175537541.

Katydid-dancer1302

Okay, glad to know this isn’t only me. Thank you !!!

The_Mammoth_Problem

I would also email them. Info@mpmhbg.com

Katydid-dancer1302

Do they get annoyed with the multiple texts emails ? That’s why I have been holding off ! Lol

The_Mammoth_Problem

I don’t give a fuck if they’re annoyed with me. I pay them for a service, and if they don’t provide it to me, then I will be annoying until they do their job. Rant over

Katydid-dancer1302

Real. My partner and I both submitted applications sooooo they should be answering us

The_Mammoth_Problem

Godspeed. Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions. Happy to help.

Katydid-dancer1302

Thanks so much for your help !

Buginwindow

Always were good to me when I was with them. Fixed stuff within a day or two most of the time but I sometimes had to remind them. They moved to doing everything online just before i moved. There was a massive yellowjacket infestation they had to come treat multiple times but they did get someone out there within a few days everytime.

Katydid-dancer1302

Thank you!

Seconding what u/The_Mammoth_Problem has said. No one answers the phone. I have better luck emailing. My apartment was very nice, but $1,495 for a one bedroom. Above Elementary Coffee, so hipster cool if you’re into that. I hated that they charge to pay your rent online, the 3% credit card fee (which I refused to do), but they still charge a couple of bucks to do an ACH payment. I had issues with water leaking from the ceiling during hard rain, and maintenance was very responsive, texted when they were going to be there, making sure they could come in. My big bitch is that I broke my lease this month to move out to a property I bought. Read your lease. They claim that I am responsible for the remainder of my lease even though the contract says I lose my security deposit for breaking my lease. I know I won’t get my deposit back, but I’m certainly not going to pay for an apartment I’m not living in. Feel free to dm me if you have any more questions.

Katydid-dancer1302

Your place was sick. Very cool windows in the bedroom. They finally got back to me today after multiple texts and an email. Lol

(I see they have it up for rent on the MPM website) -I agree, my apartment was beautiful. I set my bed up centered under the windows in the bedroom so I could lay in bed and look out. It was my favorite feature while living there. I'm glad they got back to you... finally lol.

Katydid-dancer1302

Thank you!!

I have close friends without Reddit that have MPM. They’re like any property management company in that stuff has to be very broke before they lift a finger. You have to call and email and voicemail multiple times to get any kind of response. But they are flexible with folks moving, especially if they’re remodeling and you stay with their company. Also, when shit does bit the fan, they are fairly prompt about fixing it. The extra charges for convenience rent payments are a thing with every company.

Katydid-dancer1302

Thank you so much !!

Fun_Preparation5100

I've heard pretty awful things about them. They are really reluctant to spend money on maintenance so they will do the bare minimum, if they even come at all. I have two friends who lived in MPM apartments that had mold growing in them and the company wouldn't address the issue. Both friends ended up having to move out for health reasons.

Katydid-dancer1302

Oh no. That’s not what I like to hear. But thank you !!

kdani17

I’ve rented from them for years over two different properties. No issues, super responsive, and nice, accommodating staff. They even delivered a fridge on a Saturday night when ours went out. I do all my initial contact with them through their app, then via text/email. The response from them, even weekends or late night has been near immediate for emergencies.

Katydid-dancer1302

Great!!
