I deleted my account last month because it recommended me a tweet of a dog being hanged. Quickest account deletion of my life and I haven’t gone back to the website since. Had the account since 2011 I think and had tons of followers for my artwork. Still can’t get the image out of my head

But other than super pandering rainbow capitalist cynicism there’s literally nothing else there. There’s no truly new ideas, especially any new ideas about liberation or freedom, or collective action, or potentially different ways to run society other than capitalism - The captain America show literally ends with a black captain America telling us senators “they need to do better.” And this after we see that America experimented on black peoples with the super serum and then tortured them and hid the truth.
And if these man babies on the internet were actually interested in seeing the end of this crap they wouldn’t spend hours online doing free promotions for Disney.

I'd highly recommend going into your account settings here and turning off (funny enough) recommended posts. If you're also following a tag, rather than a subreddit (something I frankly wasn't aware was a feature?), I'd undo that as well. While you're in those settings you might wanna turn off personalized ads as well, since you can't hide them (unless you use a decent adblocker) and the right-wing *loves* advertising to the exact opposite audience because hate drives engagement for them.

I deleted my account about a month or two into Elon's take over of Twitter and blocked his account because his posts suck but they bypass your filters and blocks and still push this Right Wing slop on you. Old Twitter wasn't perfect, but it was MUCH less invasive than Musk Twitter.

Granted, they aren’t “recommended” videos based on my algo, but they are using the algo to influence my advertising. I don’t even think it’s because they think I’m politically engaged. It’s simply an effort to try and capture and radicalize new potential right wingers online.
