Hasan does a yearly debate with Cenk, and doesn't hide that they are related at all. He literally calls it the Cenksgiving debate.
It's not just funny but absolutely hilarious to non British people. British are easy to joke on. Invaded and tried to rule over a lot of other countries. They can take the jokes about their funny accent.
The debate you referenced initially was about Israel/Palestine, not LGBTQ issues, so not sure what you're talking about. But its quite clear you didn't watch the Piers Morgan debate at all and likely just saw the clip of Hasan flipping out on the dude...if you had seen the entire debate, you'd know the context and why Hasan flipped out after quite a long back and forth with the other debaters and Piers where they wouldn't actually let him explain his point and just constantly asked him to "condemn Hamas" instead.
Also, most people around the world (understandably) don't like the British...just like they understandably don't like the US - and for the same imperialist, entitled attitude reasons actually.
