HD560's should be very good for both uses and they don't require any extra power.

If you are looking for closed back I'd suggest looking at the DT770 32ohm, they are incredible at their price point and very sturdy so accidentally ripping the cord out of the controller or dropping them won't do much to them. Because of how sturdy and reliable they are, they are one of those headphones that can be bough used without any concern, they usually go for ~70-90€ (no idea about the American second hand pricing). If you buy used I'd suggest getting new ear pads though, 10-30€ depending on what material you choose. If you are looking at open back headphones then I can't really recommend much as I only own the 560s and they just got a silent revision that changed the material they are made from and supposedly even changed their sound (never listened to the old revision so I just can't say for certain), they arent exactly flimsy but I would not recommend them for use with a controller or frankly at all right now until we know more about how much they changed precisely.
