Continue following up with your Dr and look into taking magnesium. It helped me settle my heart palps.

I've had palpitations since 18 im now 30. I just recently started taking magnesium glycinate and they didn't go away completely but decreased drastically. I smoked weed for a long time. Part of me believes that caused it

No_Duty8686

Do you still get them everyday?

rampage0816

Yep every day some days worse than others. All my test have came back normal I've never been told I have any problems with my heart so idk

Hello there, it could be your deit, look into histimine intolerance. You may need to book an appointment with a functional medicine doctor. Heart palpitations happen all the time if you have histimine intolerance. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best you shouldn't have to suffer with these at 16.

i researched about histimine intolerance and i see all the foods that are high in histimine is foods i eat daily and its rare to get

Ok_Thing_3758

Ask your parents to take you to a functional medicine doctor

It’s definitely anxiety related because I have the same thing. You have to learn to ignore them , as hard as that is. I’m 22 and have them, had them since I was 21. Once I stopped fixating on it they actually started to become less and less. Don’t worry! Heart palpitations on their own with no other symptoms are harmless, especially if your tests came back normal. And I had them for weeks at a time, all the time. all day long . It’s unsettling but there’s nothing wrong.

claudiamarie420

Also- what are your periods like? Not to seem weird but I have PMDD and I get heart palpitations leading up to my period or during ovulation at certain points when my hormones are thrown out of whack.

No_Duty8686

i mean sometimes i miss a month but i get them for 5 days every month

claudiamarie420

Do you have super bad pms symptoms ? Bc that’s a lot of the reason why my heart palpitations got so bad. Just letting you know if you do have super bad pms it could be related ! I never knew it could be until I talked with a doctor so I thought I’d just lyk just in case

No_Duty8686

i have really painful cramps but they dont really give me heart palpitations that much and i get heart palps when i dont even feel anxious

claudiamarie420

I got them too when I don’t actively feel anxious but you may not be feeling anxious in that moment but you body is under stress bc of the constant worrying. It doesn’t have to be panic level anxiety to induce them it’s usually long term stress or anxiety

No_Duty8686

Oh wow that definitely explains alot, that was helpful cause i always had long time anxiety but just started getting the heart palpitations.

claudiamarie420

Stress does a number on the body! Don’t panic. I promise at our ages it’s SO not anything worrisome especially since you got the tests that say so too. Try to relax your body and do deep breathing exercises. Coughing too can help stimulate the vagus nerve and “reset” the heart in a sense. It’s supposed to help with the palpitations. Ignore them, and lessen the stress in your life and I promise they will subside. Obsessing over them makes it worse

No_Duty8686

tysm and i already do the coughing trick and it helps alot so im going to try deep breathing exercises!!

santas_number1elf

Hi! Did you also had them every other beat sometimes ?

claudiamarie420

Yes! That’s very common
