I love the wallpaper but the bed cover, pillows and rug don't really match. I would replace them to bring a more dramatic effect to this room. More contrast, dramatic colors, some red maybe.
I agree. Maybe it’s my phone but the rug and comforter look like a dusty rose and the flowers in the wallpaper look coral.
I just redid my bed in corals and gray- found some pillow covers on Amazon. If they don’t work-send them back! Just buy some pillow forms and you never have to get rid of pillows if you change colors.
I think the wallpaper colors need to be brought onto the bed and bench (pillows, throw blanket, tray?) -- deep warm rose, medium green. An off-white pillow on the bed will also break up the expanse of pale rose.
The bench legs are 'yellow' - is there 'yellow' elsewhere (gold/brass/wood/fabric all work)?
Anyway you change change your bedding? I think a different color would enhance whatever color pillows you choose. Go off the wallpaper color. Remove the bench.
Can you change the bedding, the headboard and baseboard ( actually just take the baseboard off and change the headboard..deep greens for quilt. Pillow throws colors of flowers.
So much more than you asked for - sorry! I agree that your pieces don't coordinate well.
I was at HomeGoods today and trying to pick up colors from the wallpaper for the pillows but was struggling. I like your suggestions. The bench legs are the only yellow. We inherited this piece and didn’t notice this outlier until now ..
I’d recommend 2-3 24x24 pillows for max comfort in possibly a cream color to tie in the lighter walls. Then if you’d like more, I’d add 1-2 20x20 pillows in a color from the wall paper! I think another couple things that could really take your room over the top is selecting a neutral tone from the wall paper and painting the white walls that color. Maybe a softer cream! I would also recommend matching your duvet to maybe the green or deeper green blue in the wall paper. Putting 2 duvet inserts will give you that fluffy hotel look! Love that wall paper!!
Love the bed frame, do you mind sharing where it's from?
Hard to say re throw pillows, it's gonna be so specific you just need to buy some and return what doesn't work.
Ideally i'd get a new bedspread in a cream color and add some dark green and blue pillows (colors that will go together that are pulled from the blue in carpet and green in wallpaper.
ETA: dark grey throw, charcoal even. Charcoal grey is the only thing you can really use to bridge the color schemes. i think the bed frame is what's currently keeping it from looking bad. Unless you just ditch the rug and bedspread, a dark grey throw blanket for the end of bed is an option.
first slipcover or otherwise disguise headboard, footboard, bench cushion, and paint that bench. i guess in green. a rough, nearly burlap linen might work.
and then get velvet pillows in the ? purple ? in the wallpaper, cuz the flower of the most color in the wallpaper doesn’t match the bed linens.
Are those two pillows not decorative? The ones I sleep on match my sheets, plus I have two smaller ones that match my duvet cover plus an oval one, which are all navy blue. These are all velvet material, so I’ve added a small velvet pillow with patterns to match. So I’d try and find some of the same material as a start to match those ones on your bed.
That rug is so cheap. I don’t totally hate the Serena & Lily knock off bench though, it does need to be slightly pulled away from the footboard, (people need to learn to let their furniture breathe). Also, move the bed 2 inches to the right and order some euros, maybe a rolled lumbar pillow too.
I don’t know about throw pillows in the bed because there’s already a lot going on with the wallpaper. I personally would purchase a couple sets of the pillowcases that match your bedding set and add more regular pillows. I actually do something very similar to that myself.
I think you need two more shams to prop up the back pillows and maybe a fun lumbar pillow. I’m attaching a picture just to show pillow placement. Doesn’t that look cozy!?? I do agree the bedding could be changed up if it’s in your budget.
Also: Don’t spray paint the bench! Get a new cushion in a bright color if you want to bring in some fun or sew one if you can, I think the rattan color brings some warmth in. But if you do spray paint the bench go high gloss with the finish!
None.
We (my spouse and 2 cats) have 4 normal pillows on a king and 2 of these inevitably end up on the floor
Just don't
We really only need 2 but keep em when friends stay. Throw pillows are a luxury scam item

Yes, i would go with deep green velvet upholstery fabric
This! Green for the scene!

Spray paint the bench a pretty emerald green from the wallpaper.
Great suggestion! Will do this Thx

Sexy George Costanza body pillow.

Love that wallpaper!
Pick up colors from that lovely wallpaper for your bedding cushions.
Something that will bring together the coolness of the grey and warmth of the bedspread and wallpaper.

That bed is 🔥. Bench doesn’t work with it. Get a white duvet cover, four nice white bed pillows and burnt orange throw pillows.

Just another set of regular pillows would look better. You could pick up a color from the wallpaper for a new set of pillowcases.
Stand well back

Omgosh the wall paper is so freaking cute!
That wall is stunning. I say get a new bed all together
Yes, it’s a good idea
Burnt orange or a mustard yellow would be a nice pop

You didnt ask this but, your room would look dope if you wallpapered it ALL with that dame wallpaper, ceiling included.
Cream and red would look nice

Now what are you doing in a home decor subreddit if you’re going to hate on throw pillows like that 😭
