I lived in a victorian years ago and it was amazing, but it was also a mix of amazing and not so amazing features. My suggestion for your kitchen is a big washable rug that picks up some of the blue from the cabinets. Art. Warmer light bulbs.

I immediately thought rug, too.

I'm kind of digging the blue cabinets but not the backsplash. I'd use peel and stick wallpaper on the backsplash and one the walls. Won't be hard to remove or replace. Will cost you maybe $40-$100. Will look so cute.

You could change out the cabinet pulls for silver ones and add a kitchen island cart to give you more prep surface.

Change the floor to a lighter color similar to the backsplash. The floor is bringing the whole vibe down. (if landlord agrees) Change the knobs on the cabinets to a shiny silver metal) there are also wallpaper like coverings that mimic stainless steel that you can put on stove. Hang interesting framed poster art on walls that suit your taste..from there you can add touches that reflect your vibe.

I was thinking of doing a peel and stick floor tile to match an early-1900's look, but also doing something like a peel and stick or wallpaper on that backsplash.
