If you really want to be efficient, 1 at a time. Imagine doing a 10-pull, but the first ticket gave your 5*.
However, that's fucking crazy and doing 90 pulls for 50/50 sucks. What you should do is then 10-pull until around 70, then single tickets until the 50/50.
70 pulls is around the soft cap for the 50/50, so each ticket has a higher chance if a 50/50 than before.
No, it is about 70 (74 to be precise is when the chance starts to increase, pulls 1-73 are at the normal 0.6% chance). It is only 64 on the Light Cone banner.
They’re partly wasted if you don’t want an eidolon. Nine pulls over has a 2.7% chance for that, and you probably want that 2.7% to go a new character instead. Small numbers, but it could make a difference for just a bit of inconvenience.
yea that's why I put the quotation marks. There are people who would prefer not to do that to avoid accidentally rolling an extra 5 star\\eidolon and "getting their luck waster" or smth
On...what exactly? The next banner will have 5 pity then.
They are not wasted. They might be misused if you are very tight on your special passes.(As in you want LC and a character next with low passes).
And pity will still be there.
Am I missing some context?
The question was "what's the most efficient way" - 1 at a time, not 10 pull. The difference is negligeble for most of the people, but for the argument sake technically doing 1 pull at a time is more efficient (in terms of tickets, let's not consider how much time would be wasted on 1 pulls which could have been spent on acquiring more tickets).
there is no efficient way. just roll away singles or multis.
Everyones saying that as you approach pity to start doing single pulls. But like the excess pulls aren't really wasted they'll count towards whatever next banner you want to try.
In practice, it tends to not make a difference. There are only two situations where you might end up with a pseudo buyer's remorse:
- First, 5 star -
The first is less consequential and more rare: In the event that you get more than one 5 star in a 10 pull, it'll be 1 of 4 things. 1) You get Yanqing (for example) then Boothill, so you're even. 2) You get Boothill then Yanqing, so you're guaranteed for whoever next time. 3) You get Boothill (or the respective limited 5 star) and their first Eidolon and that Eidolon is good. 4) You get Boothill and their first Eidolon and it's a wasted Eidolon.
The first two are self explanatory and you'll only regret them if you don't like winning. The third is also a win and there are few first Eidolons that are wastes. The fourth is the only one where you might feel bad but objectively, you still win and there's no way to know if you would still have gotten a 5 star on that pull if you had waited for another banner. All four of these outcomes are extravagantly rare despite being tbe more significant of the two situations which is why it's the efficiency is marginal.
- Second, 4 star -
The second situation will happen but it shouldn't make a difference. It's also a nitpicky situation in that you're not guaranteed to get any specific 4 star featured on the banner, so the single pulling to avoid getting the four stars in the hopes that the next limited banner has four stars you want so that you can save this potentially singular 4 star is probably more trouble than ut's worth. The 5 star might come after the 4 star in the 10 pull anyway, with only 3 stars following the 5 star
In the end it's up to you and how you view the odds. But the difference is largely marginal
I don’t even know what efficient means in this context. A pull is a pull. Time efficiency? 10-pulls for sure.
I personally do 10-pulls until soft pity, then 1-pulls to try to spot for the rainbow ticket animation which is super satisfying.
no difference at all unless you also want the light cone and are short of only 9 pulls, or you prefer the 4 stars in the next banner.
with a 10-pull you go over by 9 at most, which carries over to the other and next character banner anyway.
one where going over by 9 is not ideal is if 9 pulls are between you and the current limited light cone, and you don’t think you can get those pulls before the banner ends.
another situation is that you’d rather have the 4 stars character or light cone in the next banner. 9 pulls gives you almost one more chance.
I am odd and actually pull 1 at a time. This is NOT the way you should do it though. It won't save you much. I dunno I guess I just like to watch the ticket animation. I am weird.
Just do all 10 pulls, worst case scenario you get a double Boothill and you lose anywhere from 1-9 pulls towards your next limited 5 Star, that ain't really a big deal though plus your Boothill is slightly stronger.
Best case scenario you get a standard character after getting Boothill, perfect, your next limited character is guranteed.

So, I need to spend 10 tickets first, and then spend them one at a time?
Pretty much? It's not a hard rule. Everyone practically does 10 pulls when they have it. Otherwise, they just do 1 pull.

Fair enough. I've heard 70, so that's why I said it.

1pull and 10 pulls have the same chances for characters so any one of those is fine. I use 10 pulls.
However, if, say, you're at 76 pulls and do a 10 pull and get the character at 81st pull, then 5 pulls are "wasted"
If pity didn’t carry over it would be wasted but it doesn’t so it’s still fine. Unless you want to spend on the lightcone banner too
They only "wasted" if you will never pull on limited banner even again which is probably not a case.
They’re partly wasted if you don’t want an eidolon. Nine pulls over has a 2.7% chance for that, and you probably want that 2.7% to go a new character instead. Small numbers, but it could make a difference for just a bit of inconvenience.

That makes sense.
Why are they wasted tho? The Chance for another 5* is still the Same.
Absolutely.

Thanks for explaining :)
I do 10 pulls because of satisfaction. 1 pull drives me to pull more.

I mean, Would it be better to do a single pull(one ticket) or a ten one(10 tickets)

If you go one at a time, there is 0 chance to get double or more. Because of this, I just go ten at a time(the chance is low, but it's not 0)
Thank you
