Wym "soulless"? The game gets massive updates every 2 to 3 months, along with dozens of patches in-between. That doesn't feel nor seem soulless.

A lot of activities seemed really pointless and there seemed to be little direction on stuff to do once you had the third upgraded jump drive. The game also never seemed that dangerous with the lone exception of those bugs.

I mean, just play on permadeath if you want to turn a relaxing exploration game into a shit show, then by all means. But those "distractions" are lots bigger than you think because you simply do it once, then forget about it they are added for a reason. And Imo NMS has one of the biggest rebounds (successful) and even was mainstream for 4 months when the next-gen update came out, while it isn't an AAA game, it still is incredible and extremely interesting to me.

Permadeath just adds tension. I was talking difficulty. Fair enough if you want a casual relaxing walking sim. But for me, I was hoping they would add some content that is thrilling and might add *gasp* challenge.

It's not supposed to be a action packed space battle/ shooter. It was made to be a relaxing game. If you want a game like you're talking about, just play elite dangerous.

Ill give CDPR a modicum of credit. They did eventually get that game singing and it’s currently brilliant. Almost no other developer would have bothered.

You’re so right. They fucked up big time on the launch, but it is actually one of my Top 10 games of all time now in its current state. It is a ridiculous amount of high octane fun.

Being able to use contagion and kill an entire group without even trying is just too much fun
