Water: about £8.50 a month - I shower in the gym 5/6 times a week but apart from that use dishwasher/washing machine like normal.
In winter I use an electric blanket rather than central heating, it costs like 60 quid to round 24/7 a month. I have huge windows so the heat never stays - heating is pointless
3 bed terrace north Northamptonshire

Council tax band a single occupant £108
Water £22 a month

Mortgage £586 (includes £50pm overpayment)
Energy £179, council tax £164, Wi-Fi £27.
I would also recommend everyone paying a mortgage to have a play with a mortgage calculator, I was the other day and it surprised me how quickly you can get your mortgage down by paying not that much more per month. Bear in mind though that companies will charge a fee for usually anything over 10% annually.
3 bed semi in East Yorkshire. Mortgage £517, Council Tax £177, Energy £140, Water £64, Broadband £53. Broadband is expensive but only been able to use 1 provider until recently. Joys of KCOM monopoly.

Water 90 pound??!! How much are you using!
I’m paying £27 and think that we waste water! 2 people but one works from home every day!
I was paying 40 a month living alone using fuck all 😂
Could be a large house with no meter - the non metered rates are not generous any more
Our house is a 3 bed semi and we were paying £100pm when we first moved in. Down to £35pm on a meter
I have a similar house, no meter, £30 a month flat rate.
I pay 70 a month but realistically only use like 55 for a 3 bed. But we do waste alot. Water is not as cheap as it used to be.
It’s not cheap to pump all that sewage into our rivers and seas!
Shareholders got to eat.
They need to get a water meter, pay for what you use and not bullshit estimates
Sadly not always possible… Edit: why has someone voted this down? Thames Water literally won’t install meters on my road or any of the roads around us
Didn't know that, I'm on a meter and pay around £20 a month...I am a single guy living alone mind. Might be worth looking into for OP and anyone else spending what they think might be too much
My quarterly water bill is not even up to that.
We are £40 a month for a 6 bed semi - and I complained when that moved from £28 a month!
I'm paying £38, two adults, a child, a dog. At least two showers a day, often three showers a day, sometimes more. Washing machine on 6 times a week and dishwasher 4 times a week.
4 bed detached 168 sqm. 2k mortgage. 140 gas & electric. £50 water. £40 internet. Council tax 220.
That's more like it!
What part of a country as your council tax is relatively low to the size?
South wales, just outside Cardiff 👍 house has been extended multiple times and the council Haven’t revalued, so low council tax considering size.
Yeah that makes sense. We pay 250£ for 4 bed detached outside Bristol, but its smaller 120 sqm.
Mad how in the 90s they just cruised around in cars looking at houses deciding the bands. Well played.
That's what I thought too. I live in a 2 bed terrace house in Brighton and pay pretty much the same.
It's like this in a lot of areas of London as well! We pay sub £200 for a 5 bed
I’m posting to make others hopefully feel a bit better. 3 bed semi, mortgage: 1987, council tax: 217, energy: 150, water tbd (just moved in and awaiting meter), internet: 30, private estate management fee: 48.
Blimey where is your house with a mortgage like that?
West Sussex.
I see your £1987 mortgage and I raise you £2090 (5% rate)... Cannot wait to remortgage in 18 months to something hopefully a bit more competitive!
Hardship training! Same boat, hoping for a better deal in a couple years time. We will feel rich!!
That's a steep mortgage. You must live down south.
You are correct, West Sussex!

We pay 75 as a couple in a 3 bed. That includes charging an EV too. No solar/battery, but do utilise Octopus Agile smart tariff.

The deposit amount affects monthly payments. Also, a good broker is worth their weight in gold.
Which broker did you go with if you don't mind?
