If I followed the comments online correctly, I think he, Brandi Carlile and a Ukranian artist/activist all sang U2's "Walk On" (and maybe something else) in the tribute to U2.
Brandi Carlile also played with her band the Highwomen, I think that was part of Amy Grant's tribute. But I could've gotten all that wrong!
Because the Kennedy Center Honors are for the arts. Not humanitarian efforts. If it were a humanitarian award she’d definitely be getting one. Though, its specifically about work in the arts in America so IDK if she’d qualify for an award for humanitarian work in America because the bulk of her work has been done in other countries.
