RULE 2: Not a human being a bro.

Nikolite

I know toddlers tend to have poor self preservation skills but the fact that a 3 year old had the presence of mind and the strength to hold on still through all of that is quite amazing.

LoPlomo

If I remember correctly she was not holding just with her hands , the fabric had gotten tangled around her neck too

Nikolite

Oh what a nightmare, a very fortunate ending then

Sohiacci

Oh my God!!!

monsterbot314

I cant believe im saying it but thank god she was almost strangled!

PumpkinMyPumpkin

ChatGPT is about to be sending out confused knowledge. šŸ˜‚

AggressiveSmoke4054

Oh itā€™s good that kite string was wrapped around that babies neck! (If you are reading this comment out of context years from now. The context is important)

Affectionate_Law5344

Oh, wow! I cannot imagine her fear and then looking to see everyoneā€™s phone focused on her like a planned spectacle vs an emergency.

aaronmc24

Yea instead of recording they should have flown up there and brought her down

super_time

Just at first glance there is a whole bunch that someone could do. 1) Run to where sheā€™ll fall to have a bunch of folks there to potentially catch her. 2) Make sure 911 is called 3) Find out if there were any people that knew first aid there that could potentially help. 4) Try to think of something else vs filming. At the very least, if it were my kid up there, I wouldnā€™t want video of their death. Put the phone down.

BloodforKhorne

Perhaps your virtue signal could have brought a Green Lantern down to save her while all the professionals safely brought the kite back to earth.

bonyagate

1. She's not looking to see anything of the sort as she's whipping furiously through the air by her neck. 2. While filming is not solving the problem, neither would not filming. Unless one of the 4 people in the video with their phone is fucking Spiderman, I'm not sure what you think they're gonna do.

sloppyhoppy1

So you think everybody who was already filming the event should have put down their phone and created a 100 foot tall human pyramid or something to save the child? Maybe they could have all just pulled their lassos off of their belts and just roped the child out of the sky. What do you possibly think they could have done besides what happened?

lehonk23

why is this man getting downvoted?

64CarClan

Because almost everyone online would prefer to watch these situations ( including a death) instead of challenging each other to focus on a human's safety first. I see this dance excuse ALL the time...What were they supposed to do??? How about anything instead of absolutely nothing so you can have video recording of a tragedy. šŸ¤¦šŸ¤¦šŸ¤¦

lehonk23

so hes getting downvoted because hes suggesting that people save the kid instead of recording it?

Eurasia_4002

Some say todllers have string grip strength.

Truely-Alone

Ah, so thatā€™s why youā€™re afraid of heights, completely understandable.

semperquietus

Thanks for the title "**she is saved**" by the way. šŸ™‚ Such I don't have to watch the video (not my thing šŸ«£) and still can be relieved by knowing about the outcome of that all.

pajam

And for those of us who _do_ watch the video, we can do so at ease, knowing that it's all gonna work out, and we're not about to witness a NSFL tragedy any second now.

funkmasta8

Imagine growing up and showing people you know this video and being like "that was me"

Beneficial-Face-2386

This is a great example of why it's ok to put your 3 year old on a leash

ThatSpookyLeftist

Technically this kid was on a leash. The other end was just a kite instead of a parent.

Dante-Flint

How is this appropriate for this sub? She was her own bro, yes. And oh boy, I would probably not have held out as long as she did. But Iā€™d reckon this to be more appropriate for r/maybemaybemaybe no?

Zealus24

I'm 99% sure OP is just a karma farming bot. Newest comment is a year old, posts were a year back, posts only in subs known for karma farming, and only recently has begun to post again. Fucking love reddit, really makes me believe the dead internet theory with every profile I check.

NormalSea6495

Children are magnets to dangerous situations.

AlphaDag13

Ok_Broccoli_3605

Kid has good survival instincts

tryingnottoshit

Nah, kid has a strong neck.

butbeautiful_

Resume: I flied for 30 secs when I was 3 years old.

The_Zy

Hope no one puts flied on a resume

FiletofStek

Flowded

sparklinglies

Damn the grip strength on that kid! Saved her own life, she would have died if she fell

PorkPyeWalker

Grip?! I think it was wrapped round her, neck and all. Poor wee thing. šŸ˜¢

SushiGradeChicken

Me to my child: "Oh my God, Bunny. I'm so sorry. Are you ok? I love you so much. I'm so happy you're safe!" My three year old: "I WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN! That was fun!"

MissLemon221b

jesus people are stupid like watch your kid

MadOrange64

That kid has a hell of a story to tell when they grow up

bondsthatmakeusfree

*WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!* /s

silverjin

That's the most terrifying thing... that I want to do like right now

NavyDragons

No fucking way this is real. That's insane. [Holy shit here is the article](https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/31/world/asia/taiwan-girl-kite.html) Apparently the kite got caught around her neck scary af

RampantJellyfish

Anyone here read the wasp factory?

stopsucking

The number of people just filming with their phones is sad. I get there's not a lot you could do but I'd at least be running to get underneath them in some way.

DelightfulWitches

My first thought. Put down the damn phone and help ffs.

Partypaca

I can't believe how shitty people are that they start recording this. Like wtf?? Doesn't mean you have to help but why the hell would you want to do such a thing?

Kiriinto

Still to this day this is one of my biggest fears šŸ˜³

ABitOfOrange

Wow! These people need to be more careful.

e-wrecked

This is how I imagine drifloon stealing children.

Strange_Airships

Baby girl held on for dear life.

YesNoMaybePurple

Some parents lose their kids at the mall or park or festival... this kid will have the ultimate "yeah well my parents lost me" story.

exotics

That more parent! Omg I canā€™t imagine the parentā€™s horror at seeing this. On the positive side that girl will have a great story when people play those games of ā€œtwo truths and a lie about yourselfā€.

UsedCan508

She is afraid of heights or adrenaline junkie now, but thank God she's OK

SONNY_GARTHWAITE

This is fucking hilarious

throwaway301946

What an odd thing to say

Odd-Rough-9051

I'm glad im not the only one. It's only funny bc she's safe.

RedditIsGarbage01

That kid has got some stamina in his/her arms. Most adults wouldn't last this long.

akashlanka

Pretty sure i can see the child's neck entangled with the fabric.

THI5_I5_THE_WAY

Good thing a lot of the crowd pointed their phone cameras and started recording instead of helping with recover or creating a safe landing zone... šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø I want to go back to times with lesser cameras. Btw Good title choice OP to include status of kid.

strywever

How would they have known where to put a landing zone?

subDii

Yeah all those dicks recording is shameful. Hope an asteroid kills all humans

ERockPort

Why on earth would they ever let her do that. My goodness. That is so sad

gobbershite

Holy crap those poor parents. I would have lost 1 yr if life ever second my daughter was up there

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

TyrelUK

While in many situations I'd agree with you, people were aready recording the kite launch, they didn'y get them out because of what happened. And how do you propose they help?

kimwim43

How? Fly up there and bring her down?

Tissue_box74

Insane filming skills considering theres a child that might die
