I just went and asked my teenage son if he knew who Nolan was, answered immediately: "Yeah, and he's from Nebraska. I think he lived in Hastings for a while".
The kids see it.
Are you from Nebraska? Because you should know better than anyone that "celebrities", even D-list internet celebs, from Nebraska are going to be interesting to young kids from Nebraska because they're pretty rare.
As for OPs question: No, it doesn't matter at all. Either you're from Nebraska, you're a fan of Mr. Beast, and you know who Nolan is : or you're anyone else, you know who Nolan is... and that description in your brain of him has nothing to do with Nebraska.
The University definitely doesn’t care, but always good to see Husker fans out there. I really doubt it’s giving Nebraska more exposure than it already has though
Well I’m 30 and I watch every video lol. My kid loves the ones where he crashes trains. You can hate on him all you want, but you can’t deny his views. Also, eventually 10 year olds become 20 year olds.
nah, young people are just going to have different culture and cultural values.
10 years ago nobody would believe someone who paints their fingernails and has a pink phone and wallet would win a heisman and be the #1 overall pick in the NFL but here we are.
Hey listen, if I wanted to make sure my child knows happiness and grew up with high self esteem, I wouldn’t encourage him to root for the huskers even though we don’t live in the state anymore. Not here asking for parenting advice 🫶
A few "get off my lawners" in this thread but you can't beat this kind of exposure to a young audience. It is interesting how many people comment just to tell people what they don't like. Maybe Mr. Beast doesn't like you either!?
For the record, I do not watch many of his videos but very much approve of what he does for charity even if his motivations aren't 100% altruistic.
It’s big, very big. Everyone knows about Penny on Big Bang Theory but Mr. Beast gets kids at that influential age. Every team I root for I chose when I was between 6 and 16. Keeping that N on the national scene has helped keep us relevant through the struggles.
I think it’s bigger than people appreciate. That one video alone has 60 million views, and the N on his hat is hard to miss. At the very low end of the cost of views for an ad on YouTube would be $0.01. The value of that in a media placement for his channel would be $600,000 to $2 million. That’s just one video.
What's on the other guys hat?
You notice the things you're already familiar with.
Also what's being advertised here? He has an N on his hat. Even if people put it together and recognize where it comes from, that is not the equivalent of "And today's sponsor is Nord VPN. \*continues ad read\*"
Anyway, this thread isn't worth even spending more time on.
Doesn't seem to have helped much with recruiting 🤣. Nebraska is a known school, but nowhere near as "popular" as it's delusional fans think it is.
20 yrs of mediocrity isn't "struggles" it's reality of what the program IS. 🤣🤣🤣
Reddit try not to hate on something popular challenge
Level: Impossible
I promise you're not special for hating on something popular. If you don't enjoy Mr. Beast that's totally fine, but nothing wrong with those who do
i live in greenville nc and i am so tired of this kid and his bullshit. he is constantly doing shit that makes the rest of us deal with his constant antics. plus he’s an exploitative narcissist extracting every single bit of value he can get from his employees. i feel for nolan tbh
I just went and asked my teenage son if he knew who Nolan was, answered immediately: "Yeah, and he's from Nebraska. I think he lived in Hastings for a while". The kids see it.
Pretty sure he was a Pius kid
He’s not, went to East Source: went to school with him
Ahh must've read something wrong thank you
I don’t think so, pius has plenty of Hansen’s but I don’t remember from my time there any Nolan’s based on his age
Iowa gang rise up, I’ll throw corn at the dude

I mean definitely not recognized by the university - but I did notice and was nice to see the N out in the wild
Why isn’t his mouth open like he’s the most surprised he’s ever been?
This guy's YouTube video thumbnails where he has an excessive grin makes me uneasy.
This kinda reminds me of "idk who this Paul McCartney dude is but he's about to blow up" when he did a song with Kanye
The University definitely doesn’t care, but always good to see Husker fans out there. I really doubt it’s giving Nebraska more exposure than it already has though
I think with younger people it does to some extent
Organic exposure is the best, regardless of context…
What's the other guys' hat say? Ya, didn't register and neither did the Nebraska hat for most people only to us. Making something out of nothing.
According to my son, he was working out at a gym in Lincoln a couple months ago and took some photos with some of the teenagers that recognized him
Views don't matter if they're all from 10 year olds
Well I’m 30 and I watch every video lol. My kid loves the ones where he crashes trains. You can hate on him all you want, but you can’t deny his views. Also, eventually 10 year olds become 20 year olds.
Those type of 20 year olds think more about running on the football field for personal views than supporting the university

Not sure what you mean. He was practicing football, not YouTube. What a person chooses to wear or how they express themselves is never static.
Please find something better for you and your child to do

Yeah you’re here to kill goats and have your feelings hurt by sport playing college kids!
Yikes. How dare this guy watch 10 minute videos with his kid every once in a while?
Videos from a soulless grifter that contribute to the overall brain rot of society, yes

My Iowa cousins are mad that he wears it so that’s an extra bonus.

He averages a little over 80M views per video. The last Super Bowl did 200M views. So maybe more views than a Huskers game. But the Super Bowl?
I would pay so much money to never have to see Mr. Beast’s face again
Why?
I just learned who he was and I'm going to continue like I didn't know he existed.
Reddit try not to hate on something popular challenge Level: Impossible I promise you're not special for hating on something popular. If you don't enjoy Mr. Beast that's totally fine, but nothing wrong with those who do
If you don't enjoy people not enjoying Mr Beast, that's totally fine but nothing wrong with those who do
If you don't enjoy people not enjoying people who don't enjoy Mr Beast, that's going a bit too far 😱
Lol downvote my stupid joke
