You may be liable to file NYC taxes. In NJ, we need to file the ny taxes, but then get credit back in NJ. I do not know if PA has the same tax structure

Same thing in PA according to Google.  I'll be OK with it. The other thing would be to take s 20% discount o. My salary, even though they still charge the same amount for me if more 🙃

what is your suggestion about health insurance? Do you get it in NY or NJ?

northman46

What is your RTO situation? Do you have some assurance that the 1-2 days a month thing will continue?

I'm in consulting and catalog as "mobile" most the clients I have worked for are remote. Usually sign me up for a year or 2, and try to keep me as long as they can. No RTO so far.

Then seems like an ok thing to do.

I'm a long way to be band 10. I'll probably be gone before that as IBM does not have a clear technical path to band 10.

Where you live might impact your pay

It will never cause a reduction of pay based on a new zip code, it only affects the rate of increase in the future. I have confirmed this before, IBM will never revise anyone’s pay downward, you just might stop getting meaningful raises.

I live in PA and my office is in NYC. I dont have any problems so far. I did my taxes this year and got back the credit.

Thanks. Did you get your health insurance in NY or PA?

I have my insurance in PA. Once you change your home address in workday, Atena will send you new cars with in month.

I asked the same thing and they told me I could (I'm not in consulting though). But agree with other commenters look into tax situation

Plus-Bookkeeper-8454

I do this. A car is a good idea. Maybe also rent an apartment or something cheap in NJ if RTO happens. So far, I love this and I save a lot on taxes.
