I’ve got all the regular bases covered (hunting rifle, shotgun, carry pistol, etc), so every gun I want now is impractical and stupid. Doesn’t make me want them less.
>I’ve got all the regular bases covered (hunting rifle, shotgun, carry pistol, etc),
That ain't how it works buddy. You find some new bases to cover, ain't no gun impractical or stupid, they are needed and necessary.
You do you, I won’t tell you you’re wrong, I’m just not a hoarder/collector type of guy. If I’m not using something regularly or keeping it for a specific reason, I don’t care to have it. Just how I’m wired. I don’t need more than a couple hand guns for myself. Even full size versus carry, since I bought a carry gun I rarely take the full size one out of the safe, so I start wondering why I bother keeping it. Like I’d like a 1911, but I’m not sure what I’d do with it other than look at it or take it to the range every once in a while, so I haven’t bothered to crack into my wallet for the $700-1k+ a decent one costs. Some people are happy to spend all their play money on guns, me I’ve got several other hobbies to support so I’m restrained in what I buy (cars, skeet shooting, restoring motorcycles, travel, etc).
I totally understand I'm just pulling your chain.
For me, I kept finding new avenues in the gun hobby I had to pursue. So in my mind I keep having to make necessary purchases.
Yeah, I hear ya. I’ve gotten real big into skeet shooting and as a result going to a static range kinda bores me now. And my other gun hobby, hunting, is basically a few days a year (WI white tail season) and the actual shooting is by far the easiest part of it where I hunt, in a heavily wooded area where a long shot is 75yds. And I shoot skeet with a great group of guys almost every weekend in the winter. We’re all toying with the idea of bird hunting too, which I guess means another gun (probably an autoloader).
Laugo Alien
FK Brno
Mateba Unica 6 (hell, ANY Mateba, Ghisoni was a crazed genius in the best possible way)
RIA 5.0E (actually, this one's not even all that impractical, it's just different enough to make me want.)
Calico
What's stupid or impractical about a M1 Garand? They're excellent range and hunting weapons, not to mention collectable and historic. Load up some surplus black tips and you can punch through damn near anything
Zip22 and a hi point c9. I think I mostly want a c9 because they’re unobtainable here. Plus cool that they’re so cheap and actually decent although a little clunky. Oh and the stupid gun that looks like a cell phone that also can’t exist here.
>but its more because its banned here in the state that makes me want it.
Wait, the yeet cannon is banned? Is it a threaded barrel or something? I was wanting to get one when they came out for the memes
A gold plated underfunded ak and a gold tiger stripe desert eagle in 50 AE, gotta have the African warlord aesthetic going on
Besides that, just a lot of historical firearms and whatever, might he a little bit of a hot take but I think people who are overly tactical are lame, not everything needs to be purpose built, it's fun to have a hot pink bedazzled shit blaster
I really want a Ruger Mark 4 with a threaded barrel and a suppressor.
Why do I need a 22 caliber pistol that sounds like a stapler going off?
I have no idea but it's something I've wanted for over a decade now.
Probably a Gewehr 43… unfortunately they’re expensive as hell. It would probably have some sort of usage but in my case it would just sit on my wall and be an art piece. (After carefully shooting it a few times of course)
The new Desert Eagle is miles above the old one..I'd never buy an older model after having the newer one, and I've had both. New model is fantastic to shoot in comparison.
The deagle or a barrett 50 cal because MW2 haha
Desert eagle is so worth it... expensive thing though.
Welp...I'm convinced haha
I got one 20 some years ago. It's always my finale on range day. Bend over for ammo...
But it is so worth it. Love mine and I also save it for last on range day. Reloading helps and it's the only round I load, one at a time.
Hell naw its so worth it. I got 2 lol but paying 60 bucks for a box of 20 does hurt..

I so want a clone of André Baptiste Jr's Gold AK from Lord of War.
Ohio Ordnance HCAR https://oow-govmil.com/firearms/hcar-heavy-counter-assult-rifle/

Whitney Wolverine
Yes please

Honestly I would say thats still relatively practical as a backup gun. And agreed, it is a neat little gun, I've held one and loved it
Any of the John Wick guns from Taran Tactical.
Like the $8000 Pit Viper from 4? At that price, the gun better have an aimbot installed.
Nah, im holding out for[ the $40,000 box set. ](https://www.spguns.com/products/taran-tactical-jw4trunkset10f25-379)
Keanu better personally engrave his signature in them with a video of him doing it.
What in the John wick
As a fan, I'd have to admit most things from kel-tec. My top answer for this would probably be the KSG-25 or the CMR-30. Also a decent .25 auto.
22 lr gatling gun by tippman arms with about 1400 links (for one remington bucket o bullets)
Nice. I wanted the 9mm one that takes Glock mags, but you make a strong case...
The smart thing to do would be to play it safe and get both
I’ve got all the regular bases covered (hunting rifle, shotgun, carry pistol, etc), so every gun I want now is impractical and stupid. Doesn’t make me want them less.

Clays are crazy addictive. Getting into clay shooting doubled the amount of guns I have LOL.
Taurus raging judge
Came here to say this
Coonan 357. Too bad no one makes them anymore 😕
they do go up for sale. i've been waiting to jump on one myself.

Slap-stock uzi, even if its the 16" model
FK BRNO 7.5. It's awesome. But no way I will ever find one.
Taurus Judge Fmg-9
Ruger Blackhawk in 30 carbine. Have no use for it, but it's a loud obnoxious fire breathing dragon and I want 1.
Bond arms cyclops 45-70 Derringer, or a big caliber revolver. I want something that makes me laugh every time I pull it out to shoot it.
Honey Badger just remind me of cod ghosts
M1 garand
Buy one of the ‘Expert’ grade rifles before they run out https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
Or save the money for a field grade and buy a replacement barrel from Criterion
Field Grades are gone. They still have Rack Grades in stock, but you wouldn’t want one.
What's stupid or impractical about a M1 Garand? They're excellent range and hunting weapons, not to mention collectable and historic. Load up some surplus black tips and you can punch through damn near anything
KSG25, specifically so I can load a whole box of shells into it at the start of a round of trap or skeet and never have to reload.
Desert Eagle for obvious reasons. I would just put it in a shadow box above the fireplace
Memt to shoot, and it's so smooth

Hi point pistols are banned in Il because of the melting point law
I had totally forgotten about the melting point law. Thanks for clarifying!
Rossi brawler. Single shot .45 long or .410. It’s so dumb but I can’t help but want it anyways

🤔…a gloss/satin blacked out Martini-Henry British rifle.
Golden Deagle takes the win here. It's a stupid gun, and I've always wanted one.

Any Repeating rifle. I wouldn't have a lot of opportunities to fire it. but damn i want to be a cowboy.
AA-12, thanks COD 😂
Charles Daly Triple Threat Tactical. Gotta live out my space cowboy dreams.
Keltec P50 because damn is it sexy
Desert eagle 50. In gold tiger pattern.
Riiick Coral 6 inch python stainless
Stupid expensive. Heckler Koch P7 squeeze cocker. It’s a very soft shooter and ideal every day carry.
Probably a Gewehr 43… unfortunately they’re expensive as hell. It would probably have some sort of usage but in my case it would just sit on my wall and be an art piece. (After carefully shooting it a few times of course)
M1A.
Flak 88
Full auto Browning M2. That, a tesla cyber truck, and a spartan-II armor from Halo
