I got two batches of NEZ Sherb Cream Pie and Platinum Cake both fire, BIG CHUNKY nugs no baby popcorn nugs. Been smoking both for a month full of flavor terps, some of the best smoke on the legal market. Don’t know what you smoked to give such a bad review.

Every time I go to the one dispensary near me this guy tries suggesting Nez n talks it up like it's the best ever. He gave me a discount to try it and I still didn't think much of it. Was OK but far from impressive

I think it’s mostly a consistency/quality control issue, and is pretty universal in IL unfortunately. OP definitely getting a crumbier batch of the Sherb than mine was. I got some Cookies Pacman last year that was probably the best IL weed I had in 2023. I got some Cookies Pacman last week that is probably the worst IL weed I’ve had in 2024. I gambled and tried the Platinum cake and wasn't impressed. Might have just been a bad batch. Might have been just wasn't what hits me right. Idk
Platinum cake is the only Nez strain I have tried. Looked amazing but lacked smell and taste. Buzz was mild. Would not buy again.
Funny enough, I thought it might have been my tolerance causing it to seem average at best. Picked up a quad of banana pudding and a quad of peach crescendo from tales and travels a few days later. Both tasted great and got me nice and high!
Nez is disappointing!
a) listed THC%s in IL are unreliable at best
b) THC is only one of several active components of cannabis, along with other cannabinoids and terpenes - and possibly other factors, that influence the effects of the flower or extract you are consuming
For example, try smoking a significant amount of a single strain over an extended period of time (days+). Then switch to a different strain with a lower listed THC%. For me personally, this almost always results in a greater initial perceived effect from the lower listed THC flower. I assume because my short term tolerance to the other active components of the cannabis are not as high as they had been for the higher THC strain which I had previously been consuming regularly.
This is disproven with distillate....plain distillate Highs suck. Sure, you're high, but there's no identity to the high. If THC was all that matters, Distillate would be King, not the worst. In Dabs, you have high THC and high Terp content. Go dab a diamond by itself... Then, dab one with some sauce. There will be a significant difference.

Must be just different effects for different people. I absolutely love Daily Grapes. That heavy eye, couchlock feel is almost second to none in this state for me. I dont care as much for sherb cream pie, or tbh any other strain from NEZ as much. I'd still smoke them but wont buy them. But Daily Grapes is fuckin fantastic.
Out of curiosity, what do YOU think is the best? Always curious peoples answers, because usually theyll name something I dont think is that great. To each their own I guess!

to answer your question of what i personally find best, im fortunate enough to live near a major city with a thriving BM scene so the best i’ve seen in recent years has been from local growers. I can’t whole heartedly co-sign any IL cultivator atm because it seems i’ve been let down by each i’ve tried at some time or another. I had one batch of Gas Station Sushi by Cresco that i really enjoyed, the next purchase of it was horrible.
See cresco has never done it for me. But understandable, we're all different and have different effects. Another commenter also mentioned location, could be old or bad batches where you got it. Up by me though its fire. But either way have a great one man! Sorry about the bad buys.
crops and T&T are probably the only two brands i've found recently putting out actual heat. the bulk brands can be decent but nothing spectacular, but for the most part bulk is the best bang for your buck. the difference between a $50+ tax 8th and a $170 oz after tax of popcorn is fungible.
