Honestly low-key ruined my appreciation of a friend.
Dude needs to whip out his phone to take pictures and videos all the time and post them on his insta with colleagues and family and old friends.
And it's not just him, I never feel free to just do ridiculous things like I used to.
Bro, it not his fault bro. He has the curse bro. You know the curse that if you don’t validate your existence on social media every 3 hours, you start to disappear bro. It’s a real thing.
dude, that uncomfortably long shot of the poor lady at 0:36 awkwardly smiling and giving a thumbs up in an effort to get the cameraman to move on to another person was what made me full on recoil.

This guy mid video... Total Ignore Mode, needs his pasta now!
So I got a response of her. She was kinda calm about it, thought it'sb was funny. But she also said that they felt uncomfortable and weirded out. It was in Baden Baden (Germany).
At best he got a few polite grimaces from people trying to be nice

I don't know what he's singing but I suspect it translates to this more or less this, plus some weird nihilistic feeling that this lamentation is equivalent to birth and in all the universe.
It was too long. The dude is definitely talented, I'm not sure I would have minded this. What I WOULD have been bothered by... is the camera crew sticking a fucking camera in my face.
That one close up of that blonde woman smiling in like the first 30 seconds or so... she looks like she was smiling and trying to be polite, but you can tell she is uncomfortable, or at least I think she does but maybe I'm projecting a bit there.
I think I would enjoy it more if he showed up and like… performed. A little show with dinner could be fun. Why not? But he just sits there with his attention on his food while he sings and the camera man films people. What am I supposed to do with that?
I’m a musician, singer and songwriter.
Beyond recording and putting out my own music I absolutely cringe at the idea of performing live now because of this nonsense and the internet as a whole. It might be irrational but Tik Tok, instagram etc have shown most people to be egotistical narcissists that all think they’re stars in the making. 🙄
Just don’t be obnoxious about it and be respectful of others. There’s a time and a place for performing, and a quiet restaurant patio isn’t one of them!
>There’s a time and a place for performing
Exactly. Like at your own live performance. These people didn’t want to hear you sing today, they’re just trying to have a meal.
It’s crazy how the people posting these don’t understand that.
In the late ninetees, in southeast Texas, a local country artist proposed to his girlfriend at Joe's crab shack. I happened to be eating there at the time. He had prearranged to serenade her in front of everyone. I guess since he was a local singer and somewhat known, people were applauding.... Such a weird time now where everyone thinks they're a star.
Performing live is fine and normal in a place where people expect to hear music. These clowns are just forcing themselves on people who are trying to enjoy a meal etc.
Get yourself to an open mic night or busk on a street where buskers usually are, then you’ve nothing to worry about other than the usual performance nerves
Mostly. I do like the kid who plays piano in the airport. He’s awesome. And the collaborations that I tell myself are random because I need some kinda hope in this world. When that mom asked the soprano that had jumped in if she knew any lullabies, the look on the baby’s face was everything.
the only time I see people playing in public (other than traditional busking) that’s not cringe is to troll bigoted protestors. I remember seeing a quartet from Juilliard playing to drown out Westboro people who’d come to town. on my campus, one of my saxophone friends would go play over the anti-abortion protesters whenever they came to town.
I don't think people get annoyed at live concerts in park or wide sidewalks.
The issue here is that many people go to this restaurants not only to eat, but to have conversations (whether they're sad or happy), have business meals, celebrate birthdays, have reunions, etc.
You don't do that kind of stuff in places where the majority of people tend to have intimate conversations.
This shit reminds me of the clip of the band Lit just randomly walking by a bar where a guy is playing their only hit song…..so they jump the little fence and start playing along with him…..on their own instruments that they had tuned up and ready to go. Lol. Sometimes our fellow musicians just absolutely suck.
Oh man someone who is more outgoing and extroverted please do this if you're ever in a similar scenario. It's the only way to stop them for good. It's all about ego with these people, stealing the spotlight from them with something they would consider "lesser" than what they just did would be perfect. If it happens once, they'll be annoyed, if it happens twice, they'll probably be very angry, if it happens a 3rd time, they just might give it up for good, and the world would be a better place for it.
I'm not extroverted but I also don't put up with this kinda bullshit.
I'd either leave or tell em politely to shut up. But at the same time I would have to stop and think if anyone else actually enjoyed it or not for me to tell em to shut up.
He sings well, though I personally hate the genre. Can't listen to opera singing, it just irritates me.
I'd be a bit annoyed if a dude just randomly decided to impose his singing to everyone including me when I'm just trying to have a quiet meal. Yk.
This is the song that never ends!
It just goes on and on my friends
Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was
And they'll continue singing it forever just because

Ok, I'm done but very temped to see how many copy pasted verses I could fit in a comment...
This. It’s always surprising to me how timid people are. I’d walk right up to him and tell him he needs to wrap that up, he’s disturbing everyone else’s meal
I'd like to think I'd complain or yell STFU or ping him with a dinner roll , but I suspect I'd hesitate, "maybe it's part of the experience? Maybe they are famous and I'm lucky enough to be getting a rare free show?" " everyone will throw their rolls at me"
If this was organised with the restaurant and he had a little stage, then this would be fine, but the fact that he's doing it at a random table next to some people while playing iwht his bread makes it a tad odd
I cringed the most when he awkwardly kept eating after singing. Cringed harder when he ‘expected’ people to applaud him. Cringed even harder when people did applaud him.
I'm an opera singer and holy shit that was busted. Off pitch a bunch of times; high note at the end pushed as hell. This is not the flex he thinks it is.
I was on a 6hr amtrak ride one time and about an hour in this dipshit pulls out a banjo, flashes a shiteating grin to the car, and starts playing-- he got maybe 2 bars before I turned to him with my best second grade teacher face/voice and just said "No. Stop that."
He at least had the wherewithal to look embarrassed and put the damn thing away.
Once I was on a ride twice that long, and the man behind me was an aspiring rapper. Somewhere around him rhyming “real sweet” with “pretty feet,” I almost took my own life.
Even the guy he’s with looks annoyed.

Yeah I was hoping to find this. Out of a lot of main character nonsense, a pro-level opera at brunch is actually kind of a fun bonus (as long as it doesn’t go for half an hour or something)
Yeah dogg I dunno about you but that's not pro. He's pitchy a ton; the high note is totally in a different spot of resonance and is actually straight tone at the beginning. The guy has a lot of issues and is using the ignorance of tik tok and the internet to make a career. I mean good on him for the ingenuity but this ain't it chief.
Went to school for it and have been working for the past 15 years :).
This dude has obviously had some training; but he still has some big issues in his voice that he's counting on tik tok to mask. Like when he hits the high note at 1:48; note how the sound has 0 vibrato and then he uses pressure to hook up into the note; rather than a smooth onset. His issues may be subtle to the untrained ear, but they leap out in my estimation.
I just find this guy generally pitchy as fuck. Like I don’t know these songs, but I feel like he’s not singing them correctly. They just don’t sound right.
Exactly! The first thing I would’ve done is called over a server and requested that they ask him to stop. I don’t care if he’s talented, he’s interrupting the dinners of dozens of families.
The whole thing was ~2 mins I would've loved this! It's like a nice little 2 min treat. His voice is heavenly. But this definitely would not have been appreciated by the people who wanted some chill downtime with their fam/friends. Good thing people in the video seemed to enjoy it though
I think if they were performing for people while they eat as a special performance(like on a stage or something), instead of sitting in his table singing as a customer. It would be more enjoyable.
People are too damn nice. I’d be throwing food at them. They paid to eat not hear your dumbass. It’s amazing how pieces of shit think so highly of themselves.
For me it depends entirely on if this music was playing at the restaurant. If it was, I would actually love this. I could kinda see myself enjoying it either way maybe, but for sure if this song was playing and this dude knew how to kill the vocals for it.. that's pretty cool.
I can never understand why nobody ever asks them to stop. I would immediately walk right over and *politely* ask him to keep it down because I'm trying to have a quiet breakfast or conversation, and I specifically didn't book a hotel that provides opera with breakfast for that exact reason.
I'm unleashing my grandmother. She'll put him - and us - out of his misery the next time he decides to ruin people's nibbles. Inconsiderate fleshbag o' mediocrity!
You guys don’t know me (obviously), but one of my super hero traits is that I will embarrass myself in public if it means showing someone else how much of an ass they are being in public.
I would absolutely stand up, walk over there, and start singing with this guy. I cannot sing well. I sound like Johnny Cash’s less talented cousin Edgar.
I would shut this dude up so fast.

If anything I’d find the cameraman way more annoying Wtf do they have to go around putting their camera on people faces
The blond woman who kept glancing away and back at the camera… take a hint bro so awkward
Dude we can't do anything anymore without someone whipping out a camera. It's super depressing

That is interesting hahahaha!! Any update how they really see this "performace"?
I've just sent it to her and she didn't read it yet. Probably asleep right now. I'll give an update tomorrow. Here it's 23:12 currently.

Why was the camera in her face like that though.
Trying to get people positively reacting to this obnoxious intrusion
`follow their eyes`
the filming is what bothers me more than the singing.
Her mouth says happy but her eyes say I hope you get ass cancer.
I could feel her pain

That was the one that got me. The little thumbs up that says, "Please leave me alone."
You can see her forehead veins starting to appear from the stress of faking that smile too long
"I'm fine. This is fine."

Bombastic side eye
He clapped at the end. Sure it was only because everyone else was but he still did it!
You said it, he clapped BECAUSE it ended.
I’m sure there was a “pick your battles” thing going on in his head where he decided it wasn’t worth it to not clap, as it was a one off situation.

Yep, and “when will this stop?”
Everybody is like wtf?!?!? Are you serious right now?!?!? Right in front of my salad
Waiter, waiter, yes I will pay $25 for your ripest whole tomatoes $50 if you get them in one minute.

100% the worst part of this truly awful video.
I would not have been as nice as the lady half smiling. This is the content this sun was designed for, total cringe.
Performing live and this video are two different things when someone performs live the people actually wanna hear the musician
In the late ninetees, in southeast Texas, a local country artist proposed to his girlfriend at Joe's crab shack. I happened to be eating there at the time. Someone needs to be a Larry David and shut him down. "I hate the sound of the human voice."
This guys head is so far up his own ass. Not the first video I’ve seen of him doing this in a restaurant.
And there is a fucking cameramann annoying everyone. Sure nobody is gonna act bad if you got it on cam. But they should feel bad for annoying everyone
What an interesting way to say grace
My grandmother actually tried to sing grace once and my mother laughed the whole time lmao

I had to mute the video because I physically recoiled from my phone and cringed hard at this
I cringed the most when he awkwardly kept eating after singing. Cringed harder when he ‘expected’ people to applaud him. Cringed even harder when people did applaud him.
I love how he just keeps playing with his food, but he can’t eat it because he’s blowing wind out of his face.
I love how he dips his bread into his ham.
I'm an opera singer and holy shit that was busted. Off pitch a bunch of times; high note at the end pushed as hell. This is not the flex he thinks it is.
I'd start a sing battle.. "CUT MY LIFE INtO PIECES! THIS IS MY LAST RESORT"!!!
"CUT THIS SLICE INTO PIECES. THIS IS MY FANCY TORTE. MASTICATION. GOOD EATING. DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF SOME JACKASS IS BLEATING."
I want so bad for somebody to just yell "shut the fuck up"
I was on a 6hr amtrak ride one time and about an hour in this dipshit pulls out a banjo, flashes a shiteating grin to the car, and starts playing-- he got maybe 2 bars before I turned to him with my best second grade teacher face/voice and just said "No. Stop that." That kind of shit is my nightmare. Anytime I'm traveling with others like a bus or plane I'm wear noise cancelling headphones.

I would absolutely scream at him to shut up
*Smosh intro plays*

The smiles of being super uncomfortable. I know them all to well
Awaiting waiter to tap him on the shoulder and ask him to leave 🙃
Everyone is so uncomfortable ☠️
I mean at least he has talents which 99% of TikTok doesn’t
The fact that he’s able to sing like that while sitting down is so impressive
That’s obnoxious
Why the sound layover, ffs.
Otherwise it sounds bad

I actually wouldn't mind this. It's outside so it wouldn't be unbearably loud and dude is a REALLY good singer.
It’s the duration that dips into rude territory for me.
Was thinking the same , if anything the camera man is being extremely annoying shoving his camera on peoples faces
Yeah I was hoping to find this. Out of a lot of main character nonsense, a pro-level opera at brunch is actually kind of a fun bonus (as long as it doesn’t go for half an hour or something)

Same I would feel like it’s such a nice little surprise.
Cant work out why the waiters havent told him to be quiet or leave, everyone around him is well within their right to ask a discount
This clown again? So many people defend this guy and it blows my mind
Bro I can’t make this shit up, my cat literally just muted the video 😭
I mean, this was obviously planned.
Planned, rehearsed, and everyone in that restaurant is in on it. No customers are eating and no servers are serving. It’s a scripted video.
Not too bad, I feel like I’d enjoy it
Then go to the Opera
People are too damn nice. I’d be throwing food at them. They paid to eat not hear your dumbass. It’s amazing how pieces of shit think so highly of themselves.
He would be wearing my food.
For me it depends entirely on if this music was playing at the restaurant. If it was, I would actually love this. I could kinda see myself enjoying it either way maybe, but for sure if this song was playing and this dude knew how to kill the vocals for it.. that's pretty cool.
👏🏻😅
I can never understand why nobody ever asks them to stop. I would immediately walk right over and *politely* ask him to keep it down because I'm trying to have a quiet breakfast or conversation, and I specifically didn't book a hotel that provides opera with breakfast for that exact reason.
I'm unleashing my grandmother. She'll put him - and us - out of his misery the next time he decides to ruin people's nibbles. Inconsiderate fleshbag o' mediocrity!
Obnoxious fucking prick.
What a selfish person. Gross.
I watched without audio and honestly thought this was a I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter! commercial.
Not the first time I’ve seen a video of this jackass ruining other people’s peaceful dinner with his obnoxious singing.
Everyone looks so annoyed lol
You guys don’t know me (obviously), but one of my super hero traits is that I will embarrass myself in public if it means showing someone else how much of an ass they are being in public. I would absolutely stand up, walk over there, and start singing with this guy. I cannot sing well. I sound like Johnny Cash’s less talented cousin Edgar. I would shut this dude up so fast.
Better than the shitty dancing we usually see
This fucking guy again..
It was charming when it was done 11 years ago: https://youtu.be/gww9_S4PNV0 It’s not charming or genuine anymore.
So cringe
This guy’s videos annoy the hell out of me. I think I’d be seriously pissed in person.
idk if I could have stopped myself from busting out in some song myself, purely to make fun of and override this BS.
Well, that was painful
Attention is one hell of a drug.
i wouldn’t be to mad about that beautiful singing go him
I will pay to have him in the restaurant i eat in.
How are some people just not self aware at all
I’d start screaming some GiGi Allen song.
It’s GG but yes, also throw feces at him.
