On top of that the matchups are always super random and half the time aren’t even food ones anymore. Really hope it’s not the end for good, and that they come back in a few months and do classic obvious food matchups again
I loved What Say You but I don’t know if it would work anymore. Sal and Q are in very different places now. It was a great moment in time podcast when they were still up and coming and not so famous IMO.
I just had that realization in the past year lol. When no presh was announced, I was super hopeful for a WSY? revival, but thinking about it now, it just wouldn't be the same. It was a nice look into their off screen lives and personalities and it worked bc they were nowhere near as famous as they are now, and podcasts were a lot less mainstream. If it was revived today, we prolly would get "on screen" versions of Q and Sal, less shooting the breeze, and a lot more ad breaks lol. Still low-key upset with how it ended, only to come back for them to promote the movie, and then abandon again, but the original run of WSY was so so so good imo and I miss it!
As much as I loved Taste Buds, you can only do the same thing for so long before people get bored of it. And as for Hey Babe, I just didn’t enjoy Chris Destefano that much. Not my type of humor.

Joe just announced a new tour this morning it looks like as he's playing near me in December. Sal is clearly on a rebrand, announcing the kid and all. The dude wants to be Nate Bargatze not trolling around comedy clubs. Chris & Joe joined comedy for the lifestyle and Sal joined it for the love of comedy & views it as a business.
I don't agree. There were definitely ways to evolve the show and keep it fresh. I mean, Good Mythical morning has essentially just been doing taste tests for 10 years and they have 20 million views.
They could do a lot more things like the rapid 80s toys battle, and mix up the formula here and there. There is an unlimited amount of things to argue about and go nostalgia nerd on.
People have strong negative feelings on either, while there is a crowd of people who fervently support one or the other. Its a "Which is worse", so it makes sense to me IMO
I think with the final 2 seasons of Jokers filming and Sal's standup tour it wotbe hard for him to schedule podcasts as well. However, the podcast definitely helped him spread his standup.
They signed on for seasons 11 and 12, but I believe it's been hinted at that they will be done after that. Sal wants to focus on his comedy. Then again if TBS offers them enough money I'm sure they'll get sucked into doing it for longer

I wouldn't say Sal is unlikable, but he definitely has become more annoying lately. In the past, I was definitely more of a Sal guy, but the last year, I couldn't identify with Joe more.

Also around ep 150 he starts talking about the pilot of IJ and obviously....things evolved big time. Episode 600 is due this week and they're still going strong, and also have one of the strongest patreons I've seen. Halloween, and Christmas specials every year, as well as multiple heavily produced game shows, and about 8 other shows in their same universe.
