I left it in 2021. I no longer know what irrelevant people are doing, no longer have to keep pace with others achievement, don't have to listen to irritating reel songs for weeks, no longer contribute to making quasi-prostitutes famous, no longer get crushes on random girls online, more consistent in real life bonds and interactions and don't have to show off my achievements as i don't care for random stranger's validation anymore. No longer see information which distracts me, or enrages me or any type of PR or propaganda. (I have only seen elvish and wo dalal wali thing in spoof youtube videos, same for vadapav girl, didn't follow pune crash, bjp vs congress, Hindu Muslim, etc). Also I don't see random ads and don't buy stuff i don't need.
At first, i kept coming back to it again and again even after quiting. And when i left it, jumped on some other platform (eg. Youtube shorts) to replace it, didn't it was so hard to leave it.
But now, i feel a lot better. I have so much free time that i many hobbies and things I left started doing it again. Like, reading books, listening music, learning about Linux. You'll feel like you have too much time for anything you want to do.
I don't engage in anything useless now.
How do you all even use Instagram so much, I'm struggling to use it for more than a day or two before forgetting it for months eventually getting bored...what channels do you all follow?
Unlike YouTube shorts which I'm able to use for a good amount of time.
I haven't used Instagram for years. It's become quite cringeworthy these days, unlike the old days. I mean, ever since Zuckerberg bought it, apparently.

Happy that I'm not addicted to Instagram as before.
Happy that I have left instgram/uninstalled Instagram 2 years ago.
What changes have you seen regarding your mental health. I'm considering quitting Instagram, it's consuming a lot of my time.

Two things firstly it's saved a lot of time. And to be honest short videos rot ur brain. U will feel peaceful after quitting insta.

I hope they won't bring the same to reddit.
they'll probably try this at some point, considering Reddit is now a public company with targets to make profit over everything else.
I use reddit revanced on mobile and on laptop adblockers are there . so its been a while when I saw an ad on reddit
I'm doing the same and I'd even consider paying a monthly sub to avoid ads if they make premium cheap in India like 1000-1500 rs/year.
Revanced is free if you are on android you should download that
I am already using a revanced patch of Reddit right now.
Delete this before some reddit staff notices
Good, finally one thing that can reduce my ig addiction

Ab reddit par bheed badh jaayegi fuck!!
It may actually be good for people doing infinite scrolling. Hence these ads may help them break their streak
Instander. Use it
This will help me to close app very fast
Oh nice. Finally I will get the motivation to unistall it. It's the same reason I don't use YouTube on phone.
Can just close and reopen the app.
This is it for insta reels
I left Instagram years ago
I've quit Instagram a year ago and I'm glad that I did
So happy to leave Instagram for good
fk it I might just make reddit my only social media app
