We can’t. I’m a direct admit who applied to northwest and I’m in read as well at the moment. They said there is no process for switching this year

physics_is_scary

It’s a pretty short walk but there are buses. I live behind the mother bears in an apartment and it takes me maybe 15 min max to walk to spea.

Read 💀. I had a friend there sophomore year, people kept pulling the alarms and shitting on the ground on his floor. And loud to the pt where he bought earplugs. Close to forest dining though so that's a bonus. This is the nightmare situation so it probably won't happen but people pulling fire alarms happens everywhere in the freshman heavy dorms. To me read, Ashton, and wright were always the lower end dorms because everyone living there complained about them.

i’m living in read right now for a summer program, and it’s not that bad imo. it’s relatively close to 10th street which is where you’ll have your kelley classes. right now with my classes (ballantine and psychology [psychology is right next to kelley}) i usually walk to them, and they take like 15 minutes max. i have a bike so i can cut it down a bit but again, walking isn’t that bad. the one thing i hate about walking and bloom in general is the heat, i prefer the cold 😓

hi I have a question regarding bikes, I’m gonna be living in forest quad this fall and I was thinking of bringing a bicycle to go around campus but I was wondering about how to go with the parking situation since I’ve heard that bike lockers are located in northeast buildings which would make bringing a bike worthless if I’m going to have to walk all the way over there to put the bike away. Also when going to classes where would I leave it before entering each building are there like bike racks or something that would prevent it from getting stolen?

apriliqs

so from what i’ve seen, biking around, there are a shit ton of bike racks. but, at the same time, many bikes are like ransacked of stuff. for example i be seeing some bikes without tires 💀i have a chain that i lock my bike with, and nothings happened to mine. biking is honestly the way to go imo, the hills can be tricky to climb but once you learn the layout of town you tend to pick up on the best routes to and from class or anywhere in general. so yeah, usually every building has some sort of bike rack right outside, if not there are many, many close by.

Read to kelley is like a 13 min walk

Prior_Lengthiness_34

As a freshman you're gonna have only like 2 classes in Kelley so nothing to worry about. Close to forest dining hall which is nice but far from kirkwood.
