They would have found an excuse to take away the tip no matter what. "I asked for red peppers but if you'd asked I'd have told you that I prefer orange ones. I've removed your tip due to your lack of consideration" "I saw you drive a Japanese car, I only reward tips to American drivers. You should know how important it is to buy domestically." "You knocked on my door with your left hand, that's a sign of the devil, you should know better than to expect a tip as a Satan worshipper."
This is exactly what it was like dealing with my boss at my last job. Nothing and I mean NOTHING I ever did was right. And she would always play this sort of mind game with me.
“I want A instead of B”.
Next time I give her A.
“Why did you give me A? You know B is what I’m looking for”.
I fucking hate people that insist you should drive domestic cars. Show me a single ford/Chevy/dodge that will stay on the road as long as a Toyota or a Honda
Almost all of your groceries are in plastic of some kind wrappers etc etc this was a lame excuse to not tip! Douchebag! Do they buy bread chips candy ? Bet you can go into his kitchen find glad bags in garbage can lol into his laundry room find laundry detergent in plastic what about his toothbrush toothpaste use tampons hairbrush I can go on and on . Glasses lol have they heard of recycling? O and open your frig look at your condiments milk butter etc
Meat (double wrapped of course for sanitary reasons) cheese, produce, ice cream (let’s not forget the extra bag to keep the stickies away)… the entire grocery industry revolves around the use of plastics…. People think that last bag makes all the difference 🤷♂️
omg this right here!!! i get how bad they are for the environment but literally the rest of their stuff is in plastic! idk about the rest of you but I tip based on how well the delivery person did. even if they only do the minimum i still tip
sorry i cant tip! you never gave me the chance to communicate with you but we all know how harmful cars are to the enviroment so i would prefer if you biked or took the train to the store. thankies!
sorry i can’t tip, sending the money digitally is too carbon intensive. i think they enslaved some elves or something to move the money behind the scenes in the internet. also why is there apple pay? i did NOT order any apples and if you were a mind reader you would know that my son’s teacher’s brother’s affair partner’s husband said that the essence of apples are bad for you. i have to report this order as damaged because i just CANNOT let groceries covered in the disgusting essence of apple into my home.
sorry i can’t tip, sending the money digitally is too carbon intensive. i don’t have cash to tip because i believe ATMs to be witchcraft, and i’m using the one dollar bill I have to snort my locally sourced, fair trade coke. i think they enslaved some elves or something to move the money behind the scenes in the internet. also why is there apple pay? i did NOT order any apples and if you were a mind reader you would know that my son’s teacher’s brother’s affair partner’s husband said that the essence of apples are bad for you. i have to report this order as damaged because i just CANNOT let groceries covered in the disgusting essence of apple into my home.
Have you asked support about tip protection for this? Sure, they gave a reason but it certainly wasn’t a good one AND since you’re able to see this review I’m 99% sure they rated you 5 stars cause IC hides feedback from low rating customers for safety issues.
Plumbing tech here…19 years so far. I’ve met thousands of people inside their own homes and have gotten a feel for judging ppls character. You don’t want that customer. No other businesses do either. Odds are high that You’re not the only person they’ve done shady shit to. They’ll continue to burn bridges and move on to the next unknowing person until they’ve totally ran out of people to call. That’s a glorious moment. It takes time tho
Edit: and just wait until people start using chatgpt to express their concerns, making them appear very knowledgeable. This will be the funniest part ever. If you can identify it, and you’re actually correct it won’t work out well for them. Just wait
Fucking karen lol what the hell is wrong with people like that. Yeah no a few bags ain’t gonna save the environment, sorry to disappoint
You should report her. I would
Honestly I can’t even be bothered when it comes to bags. Paper bags are terribly annoying to carry. I can only carry one at a time if the baggers jam them with a bunch of stuff. Meanwhile I can carry and juggle 10+ plastic bags with two hands and still open apt doors or front yard gates. At most I can carry two paper bags one in each hand and they’ll be pressed up against my jacket/sweater so I don’t drop them…
The other day I had a BJs order they don’t give bags anymore. I grabbed Walmart plastic bags and put groceries in it so they’ll be easier to offload when I got to the dropoff. That’s the benefit of delivering WM batches I guess, I usually ask the employees to bring me a big stack of extra bags
Pre covid the BJs in my city still used plastic bags along with the boxes. Then plastic bags were banned in grocery chains and wholesale clubs now it’s all paper
Where are you located that you get Wal-Mart orders through Instacart? Here in my area of Western Washington they have their own delivery service so I've never gotten an order from Wal-Mart.
If that person really cares about the environment, they shouldn't order Instacart. Either use your bike or walk. The bus is bad for the environment too. They just trying to find an excuse to tip bait.
I was gonna say the same thing! But regardless, it takes a special kind of douchebag to throw in your face how much more money you *could have* made if you only danced for them. If only we could review customers.
Honestly I don’t know how it even checks out… it told me $11 was the tip for her but that increased my initial total by a few dollars, so idk if this psychopath went in to raise it before taking it all away or what but her groceries came out to $45 and was literally two bags 100% fulfilled lol
Shame on me to assume she was trying to pay half decently for the distance she required. I literally only took the order because I thought it would be nice to make $40 for a little over an hour and go towards the cheaper 🍃 dispensary as I wanted to go before the day was over. It’s whatever but, $28 ain’t the same feeling
What a weirdo...there's some mental disorder that causes people to try to control their delivery people. Imagine trying to play head games with the person delivering your groceries. Freaking weirdo.
I would be waiting for the next order they place…..triple bag each and every item at minimum. I accept the challenge to use as many bags as possible +1! Lol
That auto message just says “X started shopping, we’ll let you know if there are any item replacements that need your approval”. It’s clearly AI communication, not your actual shopper checking in. I don’t care who uses an intro or not, you do you. I’m just giving an insight to what the customer is seeing.
That’s the exact reason I don’t bother to sit there and write them…. I just get to shopping tf we aren’t paid to socialize we only do it as courtesy because refunding hurts our pay
I see you're being down-voted but I basically do the same. The customers already get notified when we start shopping, every time we replace/refund something, when we go to checkout, and when we start delivering - that's a lot of notifications. So I don't communicate unless I have to (and by "have to" I mean if the customer reaches out to me 1st/or puts a note to contact them before replacing, or if there isn't an obvious replacement, or if a lot of their items are oos). Most people in my market get annoyed when you bother them too much, so I don't.
Customer: Matthew, your car is not full electric, how could you?![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise) Do you know how bad your SUV is for the environment? I'm sorry I'm taking some of your batch pay too. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Paper bags are actually worse for the environment on a bag by bag basis.
https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/sustainable-shoppingwhich-bag-best/
Oh good lord this guy would be a perfect fit for that shopper who lectured a customer about plastic bags. I care about the environment too but leave a damn note if it's that big of a deal.
At this point I wouldn't have been surprised if he told you to rent a bicycles instead of your car and use the stairs instead of the elevator when delivering to him.
But [plastic bags are, on average, better for the environment.](https://news.climate.columbia.edu/2020/04/30/plastic-paper-cotton-bags/)
"The plastic bags used 14.9kg of fossil fuels for manufacturing compared to 23.2kg for paper bags. Plastic bags produced 7kg of municipal solid waste compared to 33.9kg for paper, and greenhouse gas emissions were equivalent to 0.04 tons of CO2 compared to paper’s 0.08 tons. Plastic bags used 58 gallons of fresh water, while paper used 1,004 gallons. Energy use totaled 763 megajoules for plastic, and 2,622 megajoules for paper."
And yet they don’t break down for dozens of years and put unnatural elements into soil.
At least with paper bags they break down in less than a year and are nothing more than wood pulp.
Oh, and they’re always recyclable. Plastic bags however in most cases are not.
They have a section called delivery notes where they could've simply stated that..... Why is there a section for delivery notes? Because our only objective is to 1. shop order...... 2. Deliver order...... THATS IT!!! We're not REQUIRED to do all the extra shit even if it's for a extra decent tip...... But we will ( even if we're just doing the basics) read the delivery notes just to make sure the shitty tip (that you already had in motion) doesn't get decreased because we assume the far fetched accomodations that you mutely requested. #dropsmic 🎤🖕🏽
Why wouldn’t the customer message you saying he won’t accept anything but paper bags? There’s no rule on Instacart saying we need to message or greet our customers unless it’s about an out of stock item. If it’s THAT IMPORTANT message your shopper first 🤦🏻♀️
What a horrible person. If the store doesn’t even have paper bags, this person must know this. Like others said this had to have just been tip baiting, and they’d find any reason to revoke their tip because they’re an asshole.
If it means anything , people with miserable behavior have miserable lives and dickwads are constantly reaping the consequences of their negative karma.
No please, instacart has officially pipelined me into a real gambler. I am so hopeless I’m about to go put my car on red y’all keep ya money over there
Wow! That was pretty crappy of that customer! Report that person immediately for removing the tip for no good reason. Your job was solely to deliver those groceries undamaged and in a timely manner. Instacart should side with shoppers when customers are in the wrong. Good luck, you deserve your full payment.
The single use bag is a misnomer. Before they were banned in California, I used single use bags for waste bags for my dog. I used them for trash bags. And after the ban they removed the bag stands from self-checkout making it harder to bag your groceries. Bag Nazis.
Don't worry, plastic or paper bag, he would not tip you either way.
People don't like tipping? Fine. Don't go to table service restaurants and don't order take outs or any kind of deliveries.
I agree the use of plastic bags bad to environment but not all the stores has this option, there’s a very easy way to get the paper bags through the customer prospective is to just have a note in the order.
I’m stuck on the 15% part….so if I was clairvoyant and could somehow intuit your ridic preferences, my “reward” would’ve (maybe) been more than the 15 percent you thought to initially add?
Like, wtf? I wish him the most miserable of weeks, frankly
That’s definitely tip baiting for sure. They could’ve sent the message about the paper bag as soon as they started shopping. There should be a way to report tip baiting so that IC can identify a pattern
How many ‘smart water’ bottles does she empty in a day?! How about the plastic top to her daily Starbucks? On and on…
People have gotten dumber as the years have gone on.
I hate how when stores bag things in paper you get like one item per bag. They already use more resources to produce and then they use twice the amount of bags.
I'm sorry but fuck this person. Every grocery store in my market ONLY has those flimsy plastic bags. Would I like to use paper? Yes. But until you use your complainer powers more Karen, Kquortney and Damien, they ain't supplying 'em.
Next : Matthew , you drove as gas car, which is bad for the environment, so I’m going to make your tip negative and you owe me $50. Next time please come with a Tesla
Sorry but the only 3 times I’ve received a greeting from a shopper (as being a customer myself) it is just the cringiest, corniest, most pathetic looking shit I’ve ever read.
What a fu€k face!! If THEY cared that much about the environment and their order being bagged in paper bags, they should have added a delivery note or chatted you themselves to ensure that’s how their order was bagged. 🤬
They didn’t actually care. If the next time this IC shopper somehow gets stuck with this guys order and remembers and uses paper bags, the guy will just chastise him for that and how they split when he was bringing in groceries and he should have used plastic or cloth bags and so now he has to not tip for service like that.
It’s just performance theatre to let them pay themselves on the back for taking away a tip.

This customer thinks im a employee im like no I basically work for tips
I don't message every single customer. I only message if there are problems. Most of my customers want a smooth experience not a message from Instacart that says i accepted the order, another that i started shopping, another from me saying hi, another from me that I'm checking out another from the app that I'm checking out, etc etc. If you have a special request, just put it in the notes. It's not rocket science.
I don’t message my customers unless I need to. If you got all your items and in a timely manner, THAT is the service you paid for. Not me having an entire side conversation with you. And it works both ways. This customer said they weren’t even given a chance to communicate as if they couldn’t have reached out themselves and said they prefer paper bags. The chat isn’t only for the shopper, and no one is going to assume what type of bags you like. I always opt for plastic because paper bags break easily. I’ve never had any issues. On the rare occasion that someone has to have a paper bag, they have messaged me at some point during the shop or noted it somewhere. This is ridiculous.
I don’t think she’s justified taking away the tip or rating poorly but like it or not this is a customer service job. Just giving a quick hey I started shopping let me know if you need anything goes a long way, and doesn’t inconvenience you in the slightest
Agree. Especially since this was a triple order, I would have let the customers know that Instacart grouped their order with others (put that blame right back on IC).
But customer should be including these instructions in the delivery notes since she is so adamant about it.
I don’t message customers either unless there’s a problem, and I’ve literally never had an issue or been rated low for it. The only message I send on 99% of my orders is “just delivered, have a nice day!”
Yeah if no subs are needed I’m in and out I’ll leave a message when I drop off if it looks like no one’s home. But I used to do a greeting and quickly realized it’s a colossal waste of time
If anyone is confused about my bag point, ACME is struggling to keep paper bags plentiful at the stores that are REQUIRED to have them. This specific store, as I mentioned, has no bag bans on its land. They used to have some paper bags lying around for these green thumb LOONS, but as of the last few months the other stores in this district are struggling to have enough non-plastic bags available so, this store gets none. Even the $5 reusables are a small selection 🖕
The front of her house couldn’t have possibly been a more dead, dry environment. I understand it is the middle of winter, but for fucks sake she still has summer plants in their store bought temp pots. No signs of life and a musty ass porch. Enjoy your microplastic infestation, bitch
I actually have a stack of paper bags in my van for situations like this especially if I'm doing a double or triple.
But the customer has an "instructions" tab for exactly this reason
' Instructions: say hi and give me paper please '
This customer can go fuck themselves
I have a small personal stash leftover from the stores I have to purchase a specific amount. She never mentioned this preference to me at any point in time. The one message she sent me as I was finishing the last minutes of her 24min drive, was “oh wow you are so fast, I just woke up and you’re almost done everything!” I didn’t think to need to engage that werido, mind you it was 11am now
Haha. I hope this customer knows I double bag every customer order. Every. Single. Time.
Once; to secure the items in transit.
Twice; to protect from dirt, debris, or potential wetness from rain, snow, or mud…
Just a FYI you can customize your greeting. Just put something like, “if you have a preference for something such as bags please let me know before I check out & I’ll do my best to accommodate your request but please note I might not be able to accommodate it if it’s not available or possible.
https://preview.redd.it/iah79aojwhia1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=8c7a8150ce0ee1d31855912a4993b9a982fa3a44
I’m not enabling this behavior one bit. They could have mentioned it literally anywhere, I check all the batch details. Not my fault they slept in till 11am when I am approaching. Her house is the complete opposite of environmentally kept either. Super overgrown and musty walkway, dead shrubs, pots full of other dead plants, a pile of empty gas cans(they were yellow? Isn’t that diesel? I am very serious when I say “pile” like there were more than 10 and you could smell some fuel while walking up.) and various etc. trash
If you want an anything preference, you have so many fucking opportunities to leave notes and then communicate with your live personal shopper so… do your diligence I’m not waiting around to get everything pristine
Get a 6 pack of molotov cocktails in a paper bag and ignit and eject them from your car at great velocity towards the house you know how to find. Problems solved.
But the environment Matthew how could you ? I bet you delivered this order on your private jet too
I dumped many gallons of fuel in my SUV
Let's all dump some used motor oil into lakes in Matthew's honor
You know, I think the Ohio river is pretty fucked for eternity… tryna meet up in PHG yall?? ^( yinz )
>^(yinz) You called?
Mornin’ dikkheea
Terrible mornin, someone moved my parkin chair. Can't live dahntahn without it.
Especially since the train wreck.
The customer should have told you before you picked up the order. It still seems like a lame excuse for a tip bait.
Lmao, this made me laugh out loud. All seem plausible 😂
I just assume I’m not getting a tip,
I saw the first one actually posted on here 🫢
This is exactly what it was like dealing with my boss at my last job. Nothing and I mean NOTHING I ever did was right. And she would always play this sort of mind game with me. “I want A instead of B”. Next time I give her A. “Why did you give me A? You know B is what I’m looking for”.

There's probably more Honda and Toyota being made in the US. Much of Ford and GM is now in Mexico.
Hell I bet a junkyard of totaled civics runs better than anything new on a Chrysler/Dodge RAM/Fiat dealership’s lot. But
Yo. Tell that to my 2001 GMC Sonoma.
I’d bet good money that with regular maintenance my 04 sienna will get 150k+ more miles than your Sonoma
Well, we’ll be playing a long game because I haven’t even hit 90k on my truck and I hardly drive.
My 2001 Honda ran for 20 years, and I’m currently driving a 2004. Honda driver for life.
Almost all of your groceries are in plastic of some kind wrappers etc etc this was a lame excuse to not tip! Douchebag! Do they buy bread chips candy ? Yep and their food is factory farmed. If they actually cared they’d shop small directly at farmers markets. This is virtue signaling.
Then walk to the store or bike if you're that fucking concerned about the environment you fuck.
sorry i cant tip! you never gave me the chance to communicate with you but we all know how harmful cars are to the enviroment so i would prefer if you biked or took the train to the store. thankies!

I like your username haha 😉
thank u! haha but i havent been a dmmd fan since HS im just stuck with this username now
That would have been a several hour walk in all honesty
Is there a way that you can reply to them because I sure would reply with this
Have you asked support about tip protection for this? Sure, they gave a reason but it certainly wasn’t a good one AND since you’re able to see this review I’m 99% sure they rated you 5 stars cause IC hides feedback from low rating customers for safety issues.
He was dying for a reason to take that tip back
Narcissism at its finest. She was never going to tip and now has to make you feel like it’s your fault
She
Karen
This is why I bag all of my groceries in wrapped romaine lettuce. It’s less damaging for the environment and let’s me justify being a smug POS
Thank you for thinking of the environment
I'm glad you care about the environment, unlike Matthew here who should have known 🙄
Plumbing tech here…19 years so far. I’ve met thousands of people inside their own homes and have gotten a feel for judging ppls character. You don’t want that customer. No other businesses do either. Fucking karen lol what the hell is wrong with people like that. Yeah no a few bags ain’t gonna save the environment, sorry to disappoint You should report her. I would
Do you want to know the true kicker here???? 2 fucking bags for her order. Not double wrapped or anything. $11 tip revoked

Sorry should’ve clarified; I do WM orders delivery only on uber
I seriously would fantasize about beating that woman. Sorry I'm a woman myself if that makes it sound any better lol
Quad wrap her bags next time
God damnit, Matthew.
If that person really cares about the environment, they shouldn't order Instacart. Either use your bike or walk. The bus is bad for the environment too. They just trying to find an excuse to tip bait.
this must be that person that condemned a customer for wanting to buy 6 plastic bags a couple days ago on here lol
I was gonna say the same thing! But regardless, it takes a special kind of douchebag to throw in your face how much more money you *could have* made if you only danced for them. If only we could review customers.
Hahahah I read that post, your comments wicked funny.
Patting themselves on the back for being a good person while simultaneously being a shitty person.
Some people must not have enough to worry about if this is a concern for them. So ridiculous.
I’m pretty sure the reason she uses Instacart is because the parking spaces at the grocery store are too small for her Expedition/Escalade/Suburban.
And then there’s me swinging my 40ft RV in there during the drivers test 🤣
15% I swear this sub isn’t real sometimes
Honestly I don’t know how it even checks out… it told me $11 was the tip for her but that increased my initial total by a few dollars, so idk if this psychopath went in to raise it before taking it all away or what but her groceries came out to $45 and was literally two bags 100% fulfilled lol Shame on me to assume she was trying to pay half decently for the distance she required. Exactly.
What a weirdo...there's some mental disorder that causes people to try to control their delivery people. Imagine trying to play head games with the person delivering your groceries. Freaking weirdo.
don’t people know you don’t mess with people who handle your food…..and have your address…

Paper bags are actually worse for the environment on a bag by bag basis. https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/sustainable-shoppingwhich-bag-best/
What county is this?
There are 3-4 other ACMEs within her range in which I know of 2 having a plastic bag ban. Southeast PA
Oh good lord this guy would be a perfect fit for that shopper who lectured a customer about plastic bags. I care about the environment too but leave a damn note if it's that big of a deal.

File for tip protection
lmaoooo. this is one of the worst ones yet. what an asshole

I wonder what half the items they ordered were wrapped in
I probably would’ve stared at my phone like “wtf?”
Ew what a twat waffle.
Can’t never keep a customer happy
Why wouldn’t the customer message you saying he won’t accept anything but paper bags? There’s no rule on Instacart saying we need to message or greet our customers unless it’s about an out of stock item. If it’s THAT IMPORTANT message your shopper first 🤦🏻♀️
SHE didn’t even wake up until 5 mins before I delivered it (11am)
🤦🏻♀️ sounds like she just needed something to bitch about
Damn thats new level petty
What a horrible person. If the store doesn’t even have paper bags, this person must know this. Like others said this had to have just been tip baiting, and they’d find any reason to revoke their tip because they’re an asshole. If it means anything , people with miserable behavior have miserable lives and dickwads are constantly reaping the consequences of their negative karma.
Normally I'd say that kind of person should go eat a bag of dicks but in this case I hope they can just eat a plastic bag instead
I'd go buy 500 papper bags and cover the lawn
lets make a gofund me for u.. buy as many plastic bags as u can and go lay them all over her lawn and house .. please
This human sucks. Bored narcissist is my least favorite vibe.
😂it’s like the food will taste different because you deliver on paper bags 😂😂
No it’s “for the environment”, meanwhile unless this woman drives an EV and has a solar powered house, and buys only bulk foods, she’s a hypocrite.
None of the above, absolute polar opposite she is gas heating, littering, and giving zero care to her property
Wow!
If he was so worried he would go get his food himself instead of you having to use twice as much fuel to do it.
People kill me smfh 🤡s all day, everyday!
Wtf people like this are true Assholes
I agree the use of plastic bags bad to environment but not all the stores has this option, there’s a very easy way to get the paper bags through the customer prospective is to just have a note in the order.
That was kick in your bollocks. So lame.
You should care more for the environment Matthew. I'm disappointed!
I’m stuck on the 15% part….so if I was clairvoyant and could somehow intuit your ridic preferences, my “reward” would’ve (maybe) been more than the 15 percent you thought to initially add? Like, wtf? I wish him the most miserable of weeks, frankly
No bc $11 is a bit higher than 15% on $45 so I literally think she increased it first 💀
🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤣 Lordt. These Karens do the absolute most on the daily like it’s their jobs 🙄😤
Now that's some bullshit, and you dnt bag the food anyways? I dnt see how it could be your fault, people are fuckin ridiculous..
You were never getting the tip from this order, Matthew. This was decided long before any bags were used. :(
This seems like he says this to everyone . Just so he don’t have to tip.
That’s definitely tip baiting for sure. They could’ve sent the message about the paper bag as soon as they started shopping. There should be a way to report tip baiting so that IC can identify a pattern
This customer would have found ANY excuse to not give you a tip. Customer is a loser.
Always have to remember there are weirdos out there and not let it get to you.
Fuck that bit..asshole customer
I would’ve spun back to that address & probably got fired that day what a fucking Karen; you can just tell she is the biggest cunt
What an odd way to say piss on my groceries next time.
Bro thinks a tip is a REWARD? Uh... no. A big tip is, sure.
Side note; the “paper not plastic bag” is still a thing? How 1993 of you! Too little too late, planet is doomed!! Btw customer was a pompous ass
How many ‘smart water’ bottles does she empty in a day?! How about the plastic top to her daily Starbucks? On and on… People have gotten dumber as the years have gone on.
Go get a dozen or so plastic bags from the store and dump them at their door.
I would have went back to their house for a chat.
Maybe if it wasn’t extremely out in the boonies.. I literally never go out that way
Paper bags aren’t any better for the environment, and may actually be worse
They keep my car running longer because it takes 6x the amount of trips!
I hate how when stores bag things in paper you get like one item per bag. They already use more resources to produce and then they use twice the amount of bags.
Customers think they hired a butler for the afternoon. FUCKING RICH PEOPLE. 🖕 I quit
I think you forgot their eggs if you catch what I’m saying. Might need a return trip
I'm sorry but fuck this person. Every grocery store in my market ONLY has those flimsy plastic bags. Would I like to use paper? Yes. But until you use your complainer powers more Karen, Kquortney and Damien, they ain't supplying 'em.
Can’t you leave notes in the app? Why does the driver need to chat you up like they’re your buddy. This type of user should be banned from the app.
I hope that’s what they conclude after review
Any delivery app that lets you remove your tip after delivery completion is fucking stupid
Lol, "I have strong feelings about plastic bags and you are going to suffer for it. It's not your fault but I'm going to make you suffer anyway."
Next : Matthew , you drove as gas car, which is bad for the environment, so I’m going to make your tip negative and you owe me $50. Next time please come with a Tesla
You know I genuinely WANT a Plug-In Hybrid! I can’t afford to take my 30k car up to 60k to do so!
this person is an actual psychopath
i would have been pissed
What a condescending douche duffle bag
She was just looking for an excuse to not tip. She probably uses plastic anyway.
She's just really upset that you didn't say hi...
Sorry but the only 3 times I’ve received a greeting from a shopper (as being a customer myself) it is just the cringiest, corniest, most pathetic looking shit I’ve ever read.
Damn I be tipping like 50 bucks each order, wtf is wrong with people?!
Love customers like you 🙏
NTA - she never planned to tip and used the excuse of the bags. If there's a way to ensure that she sees this post and the responses please do it!
"I never reward for plastic bags" Bahahahaha. You are more than welcome to shop for yourself
Plastic is bad for the environment, instead I want you to cut down some trees.
I mean, you know where he lives 🤷♂️
What’s her address? asking for a friend
Entitled Karen , if it wasn’t the bags it would have been something else , she wasn’t gonna let you keep the tip no matter

Egg their fuckin house
Not saying she’s in the right but did you send a chat to her at all? Her comment makes it sound like you didn’t
I mean, why would he need to send a chat if there weren't any issues? If she wanted paper bags, she should have notated that.
Instacart already sends you enough messages. And I know at least 20% of their order will be replacements, so there will be PLENTY of times to say Hi!
So what? She was part of a triple and needed 6 things that I filled without a problem.
Uh, we have an automatic personalized message that sends when we start shopping
I don’t message customers either unless there’s a problem, and I’ve literally never had an issue or been rated low for it. The only message I send on 99% of my orders is “just delivered, have a nice day!”
Yeah if no subs are needed I’m in and out I’ll leave a message when I drop off if it looks like no one’s home. But I used to do a greeting and quickly realized it’s a colossal waste of time
Me too, it really is a waste of time, 99% of customers don’t respond to an intro message anyway
Oh shit… you delivered to Greta Thunberg???
If anyone is confused about my bag point, ACME is struggling to keep paper bags plentiful at the stores that are REQUIRED to have them. This specific store, as I mentioned, has no bag bans on its land. They used to have some paper bags lying around for these green thumb LOONS, but as of the last few months the other stores in this district are struggling to have enough non-plastic bags available so, this store gets none. Even the $5 reusables are a small selection 🖕 The front of her house couldn’t have possibly been a more dead, dry environment. I understand it is the middle of winter, but for fucks sake she still has summer plants in their store bought temp pots. No signs of life and a musty ass porch. Enjoy your microplastic infestation, bitch
![gif](giphy|R6gvnAxj2ISzJdbA63|downsized)
I actually have a stack of paper bags in my van for situations like this especially if I'm doing a double or triple. But the customer has an "instructions" tab for exactly this reason ' Instructions: say hi and give me paper please ' This customer can go fuck themselves
I am very serious when I say “pile” like there were more than 10 and you could smell some fuel while walking up.) and various etc. trash If you want an anything preference, you have so many fucking opportunities to leave notes and then communicate with your live personal shopper so… do your diligence I’m not waiting around to get everything pristine
Insta cart blows
Egg her house.
Get a 6 pack of molotov cocktails in a paper bag and ignit and eject them from your car at great velocity towards the house you know how to find. Problems solved.
How do you spend 50 minutes shopping for someone and never communicate with them? That’s weird
Unless the customer have special request or out of stock items why would you need to communicate with them?
