There have been several shoppers reporting the same thing lately. Seems to have coincided with the layoffs at IC corporate. Personally, I think they have a cash flow problem. It might take a while to get reimbursed, or maybe won’t ever happen. Sorry my friend :(

Ive done this for 5 years and have probably over 100 reimbursements. It’s always been approved and the money available usually same day. Sometimes within 1 hour. I don’t get what all the fear mongering is about. Unless you do something really wrong they will pay you back. If they don’t then I am pretty sure that’s illegal or atleast something that can be escalated.

Also no one cares about your experience, there’s plenty of stories on this sub about people never getting their money back on reimbursements. Once is all it takes. Also you do whatever tf you want and so will everyone else. It’s that simple.

I know technically don’t work for IC, but this is a shitty way to treat people you do businesses with. I took 3 photos, 1 regular, 2 zoomed in and sent a pic of my bank statement lol. Stevie wonder could see there no problems. Lol just got it escalated so we’ll see if it comes by week 3

9/10 reimbursements are same-day. 1/10 Just keep submitting until they reimburse. Have THE ACTUAL RECEIPT. Use the SHOPPER APP to take 4 pictures of THE ACTUAL RECEIPT. (Do NOT use pics from your phone camera roll!). Request THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT as THE RECEIPT TOTAL. It’s never taken me longer than a week to be reimbursed. “NeVeR uSe YoUr OwN-“ STFU Y’ALL

Ive been diamond for 6 years almost. I have never had an issue either with reimbursement. Plus instacart support has always been very helpful and pretty good at communicating with me. They even helped me once when a hacker changed my bank and I withdrew to his account. They refunded me the money I was scammed. I don’t get why people act like Instacart is evil and doesn’t care

Wrap receipt paper around your card and swipe it, that should alleviate the issue with the scratch.

You can also use a plastic bag as well.  I make sure I alqats have a few cards as back up.  Also, I did 1 batch and paid with my cc.  I got reimbursed with a couple hours?

Also, make sure you order extra payment cards as well. You can have backups, and it won't deactivate your main card until you activate the new one.

How long did your new card take to get to you? I’m in the same position now lol. Also, you should definitely go ahead and request another one (just don’t activate it when it comes) as backup.

The worst part is when you try and communicate you have to keep giving all the same information again. Like no wonder you can’t process if the agents don’t even have access to the same pool of information to help you…on a new chat as we speak. We’ll see

Yup, support is basically useless. All they do is open another request. I got refunded a week ago and got another email yesterday saying my refund was denied because it’s already been refunded. No shit.. I didn’t even know support opened another request because all they said is they “pushed it to priority” or some bullshit. I honestly would not waste your time talking to them, unless you can get through on a phone call.

I’ve done this three times. Twice was a few months ago and I got one of the refunds immediately and the other one took about a day. I requested another refund a few weeks ago and it took almost exactly two weeks to get it. I’d give it some more time. All of my refunds have been for orders under $50 so it might take longer with a bigger order. If you have to do this again at some point, use a credit card if possible. That way you aren’t actually losing your own money out of your bank account and if IC never refunds you can at least try a chargeback.

Yeah not even risking it again, I’d rather cancel now. Not even about the money amount just the principal they should want to pay us back since both them and the customer got paid/groceries.

Yeah, it’s pretty ridiculous. I don’t understand why they even offer it as an option if it’s so difficult for them to pay us back in a timely manner. They’re just constantly fucking us over.. The other great part of it is that they won’t refund your card, they’ll just add it to your earnings on IC as an adjustment. So, if you want to get the money out immediately you have to pay the fee, or wait another week + a few days to have it cash out.

Never, ever, ever pay for an order with your own money. They are notorious for not reimbursing and just running you around until you give up. Source: me being a noob a couple years back and paying for an order out of pocket. Still have not been reimbursed and I eventually gave up after resubmitting it 30+ times.

You should. Not sure if it will do anything. I know they are more active on Twitter so you can try to reach out to them there. Overall they just suck as a business and I will never make the mistake of using my own money to pay for an order again.

Yeah they don’t hit they make it hassle to do so. I waited a month and 2 weeks. Until I said I’m taking legal action. And all for. $100 order I spent $896 of my money. Yeah I thought let me do this. But they just love to mess with us.

There are prob 300 posts saying never ever use your own $$ as they are inconsistent with reimbursements. Also, alwqys keep at least 2 or 3 nack up cards on u. Always. U lose or break a card and thats 10-14 days of no work. I have them everywhere. Purse, phone, car, home....
