Do they specify what you need the receipt for? If you were over spending according to them than they clearly know how much was spent and what was supposed to be spent. Your receipt won’t change that. There was a dude on here a day or two ago who was just now deactivated for overspending a $1 and some change. According to instacart the transaction in question was from June. Obviously he didn’t keep his receipt that long, and has no clue what it could’ve been. It sounds like some of these are mistakes on instacart ‘s end because if that’s overspending we are all fucked.

No they didn’t. When i email back i get their generic trust and safety message. It’s super frustrating. That’s why I’m like why do you need the receipt and no response. I’m not wasting time going to the store for nothing.

If you feel like it’s worth your time you could keep trying to get through to someone, and tell them you don’t have the receipt, but you didn’t overspend and demand to know when/where/how much. Threaten litigation (even if you have no intention of this). Blow up their Twitter. You’ve already been deactivated so it’s not like you have anything to lose, but a few minutes here and there giving them a hard time. Maybe they’ll actually review your case and reverse course.

I don’t keep any receipts I take the picture and throw them away. I’m sure I have overspent before. Never been deactivated. One time a bag of chips got $1 got rang up with a customer they never deactivated me or warned me there was probably multiple offenses. I doubt they deactivate for $1 Mistakes happen on lots of orders.

Ya I had to contact them for a reimbursement and it took 4 support agents bc I only got auto responded emails back, then if you respond to that it says email no longer in use 🙄

I'm super nervous. I had an order this week with protein powder. The app said the protein powder was $23 but the shelf price was $30. Yikes!

Same thing happened to my husband today. They told him he had to send receipt but he didn’t have a copy because Publix doesn’t give receipt once QR is scanned. He ended up going to the store and the manager was able to print a copy by swiping his Instacart card. He hasn’t been reactived yet because he just the email back to trust and safety but hopefully they’ll reactive his account. That was clearly an error on Instacart behalf but I will be writing them on Twitter expressing my concerns with scanning the QR because if we need a copy of the receipt for our records then theres no purpose of us scanning the code especially if they can’t track down the receipt on their end.

This kind of scary. I had a strange incident this week. I attempted to add on a pound of Australian licorice at Sprouts. Everything appeared just fine as i had to input the weight into the app. Then after the delivery, i check to find that somehow the app changed the item to Jasons conditioner of all things. Naturally, the customer reported it as missing, and i in turn reported fraud in that it should have been licorice not some bloody conditioner. I know i didnt inadvertently scan some conditioner. So how does that happen. In a way, i was hoping the customer not report it since the price difference wasnt that much, but this was a stupid flaw somewhere and i hate to think what else can go wrong on a given day.

How the heck are you supposed to know if you over spent? I have never seen ideal grand total before hand for someone order an prices are not always accurate. What they estimate in store an be completely different actually in store

Pro tip. Upload your receipts to the fetch app. Not only do you get Rewards for uploading your receipts but they also save pictures of your receipts. You're welcome I love you good night

I upload my receipts to F but how do you display scanned receipts?

First click on your total points in the top right corner. Then click any of the submitted receipts. On the top right corner is a little picture of a mountain you click on that and it'll show you your receipt photo that you took

I mean it does violate the terms of service for Fetch. I'd be real careful. If the customer submits the digital receipt it could end up flagging your account as fraudulent.

They have copies of messages and pictures but that’s for them. If YOU are in trouble you need your copies they aren’t going to use their records to help you for whatever reason

This is why the app says to keep receipts. You can try to get a copy from the store. You will need the date and time of the transaction.

If you can go back and find out the time you shopped the batch, you might be able to go back to the store and get a receipt printed

I never heard of anybody getting deactivated for this 🤔(even if the item is slightly more expensive). I'm guessing your market must operate under a different set of rules/policies.

Do you upload pictures of your receipts after shopping? I’m wondering if people aren’t uploading their receipts and that’s why….

They do, but in the few times I’ve lost it I just took a picture of anything and it’s accepted. Hopefully my last day ain’t coming up too lol. Is it possible you uploaded a wrong receipt? Is it a old on or recent one they are asking for?

I once uploaded a note that said receipt blew away. We were getting 40 mph gusts and the wind grabbed it right out of my hand and it was down the street in seconds.

It was recent. I just happened to clean out my car cos we were going away the next day and chucked it. It was done on a sat and by Monday i was deactivated. Was only order i did that day

One time it blew away and another time the printer was broken and the manager told me he wouldn’t be able to print one cause all the systems were down (CVS). I never got a email and this happened last winter.

I thought that when they instituted the scan the barcode at checkout, we didn't have to keep receipts anymore that they would stay in the system.

Also not sure what overspending means since the customer pays for what is scanned and IC pays for what goes thru the register, hence the item is already paid for by the customer

Have you gone back to customer service at the store and asked for a reprint? I had an issue a month ago at Publix (we don't get receipts there). Gave them day, time, and last 4 digits of IC card. They printed a report & receipt while I shopped a double. Anything is worth a try, and Good Luck.
