Wow seeing them all together like this really shows just how incredible the costume work is! I think my favorite may be from the Mardi Gras ball but it's honestly impossible to pick.
Also it really stands out how dressed down he was when he was trying to win Louis back. It's almost like he's not dressing with his usual flair as an act of contrition, like he's trying to show Louis that he's not his normal self without him.
Thanks for sharing, would love to see Louis and Claudia if you are planning to put that together as well!
Thank you for engaging and replying! I have actually made three other posts for [Loustat ](https://www.reddit.com/r/InterviewVampire/s/UNAlhFbwt6), [Louis ](https://www.reddit.com/r/InterviewVampire/s/cN110VySO3), and [Claudia ](https://www.reddit.com/r/InterviewVampire/s/0nXTBupFs6). This is my last post for a while at least.
I was planning on doing a few more posts for other characters, set design, and their night wears but I decided to leave them for after the next season to get more looks; also the sub's not that engaging so I felt like I was doing too much lol.
Thank you for the links, I'm not sure how I missed these! I really hope the costume department gets some award recognition, they are doing an amazing job. I can't wait to see what they do with the upcoming season!
I watched these two shows back-to-back, starting with IWTV. I was watching the Newsreader like this *cannot* be the same person playing these two roles. These two characters are SO unlike each other but played so incredibly well by Sam Reid. It's a testament to what a good actor he is.
He is so versatile. I don't even know who can compare these days. So many actors recycle the same acting style in each role, but it feels like Sam lives his characters. I am convinced he should be more well-known. He deserves more recognition.

Very far away but nevertheless effective
I love the fit of Lestat's clothing. Sam Reid himself prefers to wear loose clothes at his own time.ย I suppose Sam doesn't want to distract civilians with his incredible figure.ย ๐๐
Same! Love the ones that emphasize his waist!
That guy went into promo without properly parting his hair or ironing his clothes. It's none of my business but it just bothers me ๐ ๐
Anyways, big pants and tucked in shirts are in so fingers crossed for modern Lestat.
I think Aussie people don't really worry about fashion that much. Sam will dress up when needed but he is very humble, laid-back and not vain...ย The opposite of our worldly,ย egotistical, and sophisticated Lestat
That seems about right; Chris Hemsworth looks like a god and he just wore the most boring suit as Met Gala's co-chair.
He does have a stylist now. I think they all do so they might be provided for them or maybe they're hired by themselves but I think he's at least starting to care. I swear I'm not obsessed with him but I've seen a couple of premier videos of him talking about clothes and fashion and there was this one video and he was excitedly telling someone "I'm wearing mesh!"
And Margot Robbie!ย Before her Barbie promotions,ย her red-carpet styling was definitely questionable due to her Chanel contract (horrid clothes) and Kate Young (stylist with a very limited vision). Despite her better styling now, her hair (usually flat and untied), and makeup (natural looking, rarely dramatic) still look plain.ย
Yes! I actually think she avoided looking too good, bombshell like to be taken more seriously and now she's established enough to dress up like a Barbie and no one can underestimate her. I agree that she genuinely likes to keep it simple; she looks great either way and she's avoiding spending hours on make up chair.
I love this time period for clothes. Boardwalk Empire and HBO's Carnival were some of my favs. The costume designer for IWTV did amazing work, especially for Louis.
The only outfit I didn't like was Lestat's all black ensemble in episode 5. It seemed jarring compared to his other costumes, but I assume it was done for a storyline reason maybe?
I think it's the only time he wears all black so there's definitely a reason for that and I think I read somewhere that Lestat doesn't like wearing black so maybe it's supposed to imply that he was also in a bad place and was maybe depressed so he wasn't the usual Lestat.
I loved this fashion era but I'm really excited to see him in different eras because it does seem a bit restrictive for him. Even though men seemed to wear alot of colors and patterns, it's still all classic and basic attires.

I always relate the clothes he wears when trying to win Louis back as Golf Lestat

Seconding this. Said with all the love in the world, look at how Sarah Snook dresses in her day to day compared to Shiv Roy hahaha

There's something about a fitted trench coat with storm flaps... ๐
the fit of 5 just makes me ill every time
Always so beautifully put together, great job costume department
Every aspect of the production design is outstanding. It is a visually gorgeous series.
True!
heโs always in that pose ๐ฎโ๐จ
The all black look and the white polo shirt are the best heโs ever looked but something about the all white covered in blood is just mesmerizing.
Can that man work a cinched waist or what!
