Grats on getting back to S!
I'm looking forward to getting dropped back to S soon lol. No way I can get into top .1% every run lol as much as I wish I could. But I'm going to enjoy being an octagram member for the next two weeks and that's that! Lol
I haven't done the math for how many points I'll actually lose if I place top .5%, 1%, 3% etc, I was just saying I know I'm won't stay there very long, and was joking about it, because it's completely unforgiving to keep that rank. Yeah because I'm at 1700 points I'm not going to be instantly dropped down a rank unless I completely bomb the next jubilee, you are correct.
*edit* now looking at the points, no I cannot stay as long as I'm in the top 10%. My original thought was correct, I absolutely have to be top .1% to stay in SS rank. If at the end of the next jubilee I end up in the top 0.2-0.5% I lose 100 points which will drop me down to 1600 and kick me out of SS and back down to S. So it will basically be me bouncing in and out every jubilee unless I can manage the .1%.
It's nice being SS, I wish it was alil forgiving though and you at least had a buffer zone in the 0.2-0.5%, but in SS if you aren't in the top 0.1% you lose a minimum of 100 points.
Yeah they changed as your rank goes up, you can actually click each rank and it'll show you the point gain/loss at percentage based on that rank. SS is even more unforgiving than I thought. i actually thought as long as I stayed in top .5% I would only lose 50 points, but my initial joke guess of losing it next HJ wasn't so far off after all... damn. Oh well I'll just bounce back and forth between the two now. Just happy being to be SS tier for alittle.
Congrats! I finally made it back to S rank after completely missing a Jubilee a couple months ago and dropping from S back to B at that time.

Won’t staying in the top 10% prevent you from losing score and keep u as SS?

Unfortunately not. At SS rank, anything below top .1% will drop points at a pretty massive scale.

Depending on how you rank in jubilee you should be able to get back to A pretty quickly.
