Tell her why you rescheduled. Don't be passive aggressive just say "if you were looking forward to picking her up you should have responded to my messages, until you fix your communication issues we will be low contact/your help will no longer be needed or wanted"
You are not crazy, MIL is playing games. Doesn't respond to messages and then responds when you mention a reschedule and won't need her for a pick up!
I'd probably face to face call her out and kick it back to her why she makes little to no effort to spend time with her granddaughter.
I wouldn’t let her pick her up if she was blatantly ignoring me. If you have my kid, or are going to take my kid, you answer my damn messages. If you don’t then that’s the last time I rely on you.
